Hello
I never got around posting this mod on the new forum. It's a silencer for a pistol - but not just any silencer. It's also your pillow! Just as you though pillows where dog gone useless in survival, you actually have something that will silence your gun.
Hold a pillow as your secondary weapon and it will silence your gun, but not forever. It will last 5-15 shots until the pillow is completly torned.

Download it from pz-mods.net (pz-mods.net is a top secret procrastinating project for hosting my mod I'm currently working on - which was before I discovered xeno-mods.net .. duh, now I'll make tutorials there instead .. well more about that later.)

Features
Is not a recipe - holding a pillow as secondary will silence your gun Each shot decreases the pillows ability to reduce noise. Lasts 5-15 shots until pillow is torned Silenced gun shot sounds included No editing needed! It's very good for clearing rooms and hallways without getting other zombies attention.

Installation
Installing the pillowsilencer is as always - extract the contents of pillowsilencer.zip in your project zomboid folder

Changelog
Version 1.0
Fixed first shot being entirely silent (ie. not affect zombies) Pillow is replaced by RippedSheets when completely torned Fire max range reduced significantly Feedback and suggestions are really appreciated

Have fun!!

I voted yes. I think the law enforcement agencies should focus their resources on hard drugs. As long as marijuana is illegal the cops are forced to deal with that too.

When posting in the Mod Help section please follow these guidlines:
Title
Please choose a title that's short but still gives the basic idea of what you need help with. DON'T name it "question" or "help me". Instead use something like "Can't spawn items" or "How to use events".
Description
Describe your issue as detailed as possible. We can't help you if we don't know anything about what you have done. Please also post your mod's code (or at least the part of it that is affected). If you post your code please use the followign tags:

Insert your code here.

Show some effortWhile we are glad to help any way we can, don't expect us to write your mods for you.
Mark solved problems as "Answered"
I've talked to nasKo today and he gave us that nifty "answered" feature we already can find in the Support-Subforum. If your question has been answered, or your problem has been solved, please select the best answer (You can find the option right next to the reply / quote buttons). This way we can easily see which people still need help.

POST YOUR SOLUTION
One of the most important things: If you have found a solution outside of the thread POST IT IN THE THREAD! There is nothing worse than looking for help on a specific issue, finding a thread about that exact problem and opening it only to find the last post to be "nevermind fixed it". So once again help the community and POST THE SOLUTION (yes I'm so mad at people who do this that I use capslock).
Patience
Last but not least: Be patient! Don't bump your thread just because you didn't get your answer within the first 15 minutes. You won't get helped any faster and by spamming the forums you even might get yourself muted

Hi guys

I know some of you are considering diving in to mod making. I'd like to share some resources I made for that.
Adding items, weapons and recipes does not require programming abilities. Everyone can do it, I promise
Check The basics of adding items and recipes if you would like to learn how to add your own weapons, foods or other items to the game.

There's also a tutorial showing how to add your own sprites to the game made by RoboMat.

If you have experience with another programming language check out this hello world example Your first project zomboid lua script
Also there's a Lua syntax reference

Further more there's a popular event reference for the more trained LUA modders. This list shows the possible events our functions can hook up too.

There's currently no commenting feature on pz-mods.net, so comments and features are greatly appreciated here. (Has been added now)

And of course if you would like to share your mods, please submit them to pz-mods.net and we'll take good care of them. pz-mods.net is closed to new mods as the website is likely to be phased out.

That's all. Hope you have fun with it.

Not if the quality of the sleep was reduced. RoboMat is working on something that will make allow more ways of sleeping, but some ways are preferable to others.
