  1. I like this! It could be a way to score some meat if you're ready for it.
  2. I do genuinely kind of struggle to imagine how NPCs in zomboid are going to work. I'm hopeful, though. Indie Stone has done unbelievable work for an indie team.
  3. As opposed to figuratively or metaphorically shocked, of course!
  4. I still want the option as a sandbox/server config that applies to everyone's game, not just mine.
  5. Just gonna dump this here. fully agree that we should get some traits related to NPCs.
  6. "Lone survivors do no thappen" You know, except for the 300+ people who've been stranded, managed to survive for several months before being rescued, and lived to tell the tale in the last 100 years.
  7. Idk I feel like servers should have a sandbox option or a config setting so that everyone is on the same page at least.
  8. Fully agree. Something that would have a similar effect but be simpler to implement is that fighting zombies or being in close proximity to them for long periods of time gives you anxiety/sadness, which you slowly build a resistance to in the same way that you grow a resistance to panic.
  9. I believe this is already intended, in one of my suggestions about similar movement mechanics the devss aid they would eventually be looking into reworking how movement works
  10. I understand what you're suggesting but my question is... why?
  11. I know that you've put a lot of work into it, but a sandbox option or an audio setting to bring back mute characters would be great. I'm really not a fan of the character voices, and I think it kinda overwrites some of the "roleplay" aspect the game has. With the player voices, you don't imagine your character as they are, the game will assign you a voice and you need to deal with it. Also, inevitably, no matter how many voices you include, you'll start seeing repeats, or even have two players in the same server who have the same voice. I don't like that, personally. Not asking for it to not be added, just to have the option to turn it off.
  12. I do agree with you, but I would like to mention that Mod Manager UI mod has a really elegant preset and mod selection screen through the regular mod menu, among other really excellent QoL changes like improved filtering, the ability to tweak your load order in-game (afaik this isn't doable without the mod), etc. Have you considered getting in touch with the guy who made it? I undrstand that in such a case money and time is definitely a factor, though.
  13. Mod Manager UI mod already has a built in solution to this, you create a preset just like you would in singleplayer, select the server you'd like to save the preset to, and boom, it's all done for you. Works a treat, so much so that I genuinely think the devs should get in touch with the guy who made it.
  14. Yeah sure why not. Genuine question are we allowed to bump our own threads? I have a thread in mind I'd like to bump because I put a bunch of work into it.
  15. There's a few mods out there for the sheet rope thing, I think it's called "actually climb"?
  16. I'm totally fine with this but keep in mind that drugs would increase the age rating of the game or have it be adults only in some countries, not sure how big of a deal this really is in practice but something to consider.
  17. This is actually planned, though good luck figuring out when
  18. This is all super duper cool, I just hope that you can turn off voice actors in sandbox options, voiced characters sounds super immersion-breaking and maybe evena little annoying to me, and takes away from the roleplay imo. At the very least for the actual voiced lines like "hey you". I also hope this doesn't mean that the "zomlish" on the TVs and radios is getting replaced with voice acting. I'd love to keep or even expand the paratropic-esque vaguely human sounding gibberish that comes from them atm. Everything else is totally awesome, and the doors all opening and closing at once seems like some kind of eldritch horror gone awry.
  19. I have to agree, being able to make a larger meal is a huge deal.
  20. I like the idea of skill completion rewards but tbh cannibalism doesn't sound like something that'd require level 10 cooking, and we already do passively regen stamina when walking and not overburdened. We also already have crits and the like as 'instant kills'. Love the idea, think the actual perks you get from it should be reworked.
