    Weapon repair

    Here's my favorite dagger
  2. That's some terminator sh*t right there It would've been if i killed that horde with that axe. (it broke halfway through tried to oush them over and stomp them to death.) My worst experience was when my bat broke mid-fight with 2-3 zombies, then my player immediately pulled out the shotgun and I accidentally fired a round, attracting another 30+ zombies to me. Needless to say I didn't come back from that one.
  3. That's some terminator sh*t right there
  4. Thunderstorms! A crack of thunder would provide one more thing to startle us at night
  5. I love the idea of playing cards. Imagine playing a game of poker in multiplayer with your friends, then suddenly you hear a window smash. Everyone ditches the game and runs to see what the hell is going on. It would be such a tense game of poker
  6. I'm curious how sandbag walls work. Are they similar to fences, that zombies can climb over them, or destroy them?
  7. We need a jock strap item to be implemented in the game. Dev's, get on this. That is all.
  8. How do you get rid of those stunted crops? I have some and they won't go away. I can't plant over them or anything
  9. Yeah I'm totally lucky. This is the first bite I've ever survived. Since posting this thread an hour ago, I've also been scratched 2 more times and I'm still alive, hah. That leaves me with I believe 5 scratches and a bite now. I got a horseshoe up my ass or something
  10. I don't quite understand. Your status says "zombified"? If so, there's no hope. You're already dead
  11. I've just started getting into farming, and my first batch of potatoes and cabbages are ready for harvest. My question is whether I can leave the crops alone and harvest when I need the food, or will they eventually rot, catch disease, etc? I don't want to harvest them all now if they'll just go rotten in my inventory
  12. Well I'm day 4 since it happened, and I never got the fever/nauseated symptoms. Talk about a lucky call. It was a bite & a scratch.
  13. So I just had an epic battle with about 15 zombies and took them all out with an axe. And then a crawler, who I couldn't see under the mound of corpses on the ground, bit me. I'm at 2.5 months, I don't want to die Is there any % chance a bite will not zombify you? I bandaged up and haven't got any sickness symptoms yet, it's been just over 1 day
  14. I like the idea of a spiked wall (not sure what they're called), something the zombies would walk into and get basically stuck on. Sort of like what they set up at the prison gates on TWD http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bS7i-nCafc8/Uhsr923yWyI/AAAAAAAA5uc/Z_0l4OV-Ltg/s1600/walking-dead.png
  15. I'm sure this has been suggested at some point, but I didn't see anything when searching the forum. So apologies if this is an overly re-hashed idea. Are there any plans to implement the ability to repair weapons? Something different for each type of weapon could be used. For example, Axes or kitchen knives could be re-sharpened, guns could be cleaned, that sort of thing. There should be a limit to how many repairs you could do, perhaps only 1, or varied based on the type of weapon. Thoughts?
  16. You can't see it super well in the picture but my farms on the lawn within the lower left walled in area, and I have double barbed wire fences at the end of my entrance bottleneck now. I'm working on including some sandbags there too once I've found enough of them. I don't understand the fixation with living at Cortman. Despite the fact that zombies just flock there, just considering general zombie lore going to a hospital or medical center is like moving into a cemetery. It's just a bad place to be when zombies are around. I have yet to find any barbed wire to construct the barbed wire fence. Where have you been able to find it? I'm also curious how it works, does it slow down the zombies, or also hurt them?
  17. no it wouldnt, how is it unique when TWD did it and everyone knows it and thinks its an awesome idea... it isnt IMO i read the title and was like, srsly, this discussion again? meh. Just curious, why do you think it's a bad idea? After all, nothing is really "unique" these days when it comes to zombies I think of it as a "plan B" for the really nasty situations, an alternative to running and hoping for some good luck. Even then, no guarantee it would work.
  18. http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.4483615612407534,0.22614769334761267,95.39621664406894 This is the restaurant I've settled into. It was zombie-free for over 1 month, but lately it's been getting worse. Luckily I had 1 month to fortify it. ps: Beware of Cortman Medical! From everything I've read on these boards, plus my own personal experience, that place is a zombie-horde nightmare after a few weeks. Unless that's your thing!
  19. The real question is why are you walking around with a loaded shotgun in your primary slot? I haven't experienced that, but if it's a legitimate glitch I'm sure it'll get worked out at some point. The closest thing I've had to that is when my baseball bat suddenly breaks during mid combat with 1-2 zombies, and my character immediately switches to the backup weapon (which is usually a firearm) and immediately fires off a shot. Suddenly the 2 zombie affair becomes a 200 zombie affair. I feel like once the glitch is worked out, the safety concept would actually get more people killed when they fail/forget to toggle it in the heat of the moment.
  20. Rule #3 of Zombieland: Beware of bathrooms
  21. It really depends on what kind of "zombie rules" you want to use. I see the general consensus is that by covering yourself in zombie guts, you're exposing yourself to the virus. Based on those rules, what about all the zombies you smashed up close with a baseball bat? Surely some of their blood or guts would have landed on you, causing you to become infected. Doesn't a large amount of zombie lore center around being bitten/scratched as the primary means of infection? The whole thing is debatable, considering there are no concrete rules to a zombie virus. It really comes down to what rules the developers want to have applicable to their game.
  22. Yes, Inspired from the walking dead concept, being able to camouflage yourself from the zombies by covering yourself in zombie guts. It could add a few neat elements to the game though, as long as it wasn't overpowered. - helps navigate through zombies without being attacked. Ideally for those gigantic hordes - would require looting "zombie guts" from dead zombies - limitations such as "Can't equip while holding primary weapon" - limits your movement speed to walk/sneak - limited time period of effectiveness, IE: 45 seconds - adds substantial weight to your inventory while equipped (for balance reasons, only lootable if it doesn't over encumber you) - single use per disguise, can only carry 1 at a time - potential for the disguise to fail of course it would have to be balanced, but if done right it could be interesting. It forces you to decide between a potential suicide run through hundreds of zombies (current situation), or removing your weapons and mobility, and give you a window of escape opportunity, with the lingering chance it might not even work. Kind of an emergency "is it worth it"? type of thing Any thoughts? Apologies if this has been previously suggested.
  23. Like Hyansith mentioned, the restaurant south of the police station has been my favorite so far http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.44786845905621514,0.22631373414404876,114.47545997288273 The upside: When I arrived, I literally had 0 zombies to deal with for the first month. Not a single one. The downside: Eventually I had to make very long, far runs into town for food and nails, which took several days of dodging hordes, and a few close calls. When I came back my entire base was swarmed with zombies, and they even spawned in the fenced off backyard area, to my dismay. Luckily I managed to clear them out, for now. My plan is to build walls on the south side to connect with the diner, so I will have a 2 building stronghold.
  24. The idea of fog is kind of terrifying. Think about it...how will we see the crawlers?!?
