Would be nice on top of a white list for a server if there was an option to hide the current player count in a server from the actual browser.

obviously an optional thing but I enjoy not knowing if there will be players online in the server or not

Basically what i mean is if your world is 1 year old and you die you spawn as a character with nothing [No guns, No weapons,No decent clothing,No survival gear] wich doesn't really make sense because how has that Charakter survived up until that point.I would be fine if you start with ripped clothes damaged weapons and a couple of randomized injury's [Like a scratch] and depending on what Profession you have, you have a higher chance to spawn with certain items [like a doctor has a higher chance to spawn with a face mask or more bandages and a Lumberjack would have a damaged Axe or a broken one] nothing game changing but just items that make it feel more realistic to survive longer.

Is there a way for a particular zombie that can be toggled on or off as far as it's spawning and have it's spawn rate configurable. A Zombie that can grab you and you  have to tap the push button or key 2-3 or 1-2 times to push it off and it either stubbles back and continues advancing towards you or stubbles and falls then gets back up to continue pursuit. Been wanting a zombies that makes it so if I see it I know I have to take it out first or it could be hidden in the midst of all the regular looking zombies but there's a chance of getting grabbed and held for a second instead of two zombie automatic takedown to chow town insta-death. The fun function of this zombie is if your lung moodlet is red as in exhausted you will get bit by grabbing zombie if not you have the chance of pushing it off to tell your tale of the run in with the Grabber.

I think this would be a good thing to have as an effect. Personally I do like the idea of having things be restricted for some characters at certain times though. It adds a ton of variety with a single (or handful) of tweaks.

But yes your idea is certainly one way to do it and might have a similar enough effect where you can eat what you want but you will be stressed out and depressed which would be great too.

If no one mods this in I would like to see something like this, basically characters roll random likes and dislikes for the various categories of loot and it will change how you interact with the world.

let’s say you’re character hates reading mystery novels but likes romance books, in this case they will refuse to read those books unless they are insanely bored.

same with different foods. Maybe they love ice cream but hate meat. Then they will refuse to eat meat unless starving.

I really like this idea.  Imagine gaining some temporary (or long term) buff to panic.  So lets say you watch a horror movie on VHS and it makes you panic and/or sleep poorly.  Let's say you keep it up and eventually you get a brave/desensitized buff for a while after watching X amount.

A 'horror movie buff' buff, if you will.  This idea has so much room for activities.

I think reading books should have a chance of finding hidden small items.

Think keys, maps, money, letters, maybe a handgun compartment/other interesting items like jewelry.

would add a little extra interest for the player when they read!

I think books should have names that are somewhat randomized to keep things interesting, and my suggestion here is to have different books have special moodles and traits associated with them.

    some examples would be:

Inspired : (gives the players next creation extra health/ damage value)

Adventurous: makes players move a bit faster and gain happiness from exploring.

hopeful: gives player increased bosuses to their mental health for a few days/ hours.

inquisitive: increases bonuses for skill gain when reading books and crafting things.

horrified: basically makes them panic for a few hours.

And many more if they fit the game.

overall I hope We get some more interesting bonuses to reading things that change up the gameplay from time to time.

apply all of this to movies also!

On the topic of randomness, I like a healthy amount of it, but I find some games overdo it and end up bland as a result.

An example is Rimworld. This game is ripe with randomness, almost everything is random. Particularly, sculptures and their descriptions. It can end up as something funny, but most of the time it's just uninteresting auto-generated garbage, and the more you play, the more uninteresting it becomes, as you get used to the randomness.

So imo if they add named books, the names should be made by humans, with intent. Auto-generated names would end up feeling bland or out of place to me.

possibility to cauterize a wound in emergency cases (scratch, cut)

This way is like a 50/50 heads and tails game, you can either make yourself better or hurt yourself more.

EXAMPLE: You have cut yourself or been pushed by a zombie, and you have a large wound that is not healing quickly, whether you have bandages or not.

Cauterization - A manipulation consisting of applying a localized superficial burn or causing deeper necrobiosis, up to and including scabbing, using heat, electricity, radiant energy, or chemicals for therapeutic purposes.

For example to stop bleeding too (which zombies run to smell) which takes a very long time to disappear or to cauterize a laceration which takes a very long time to heal.

And if you hurt your leg and can barely walk, cauterizing the wound can increase recovery.

( all of the above is not something I made up or took from movies, I went through a lot of docs' documentation and found enough information that cauterizations really help)

there is simple solution for that, allowance option to be spectator what gonna prevent unauthorized players to use it for their advantage ,dead players gonna have to request others to be their spectator, then player can accept or reject that request

1129. I might have already mentioned it explicitly, and I for sure mentioned littering mod but:
Chip Bags should leave bags usable as container (Neo Scavenger vibes anyone?) that you can hold in hand. Empty pop cans should hold water Empty tin cans should hold water and be able to gather it when it's raining

1130. I have tossed this in other places, but I'm going to put it here.

Tackling Zombies. Runners who are too uncoordinated to actually stop. If the player dodges the Zombie, it trips as it tries to stop. If the player doesn't dodge the Zombie, they and the Zombie are both knocked to the ground.

Perhaps this would be a very rare zombie type, perhaps it would be an adjustable sandbox option. It would certainly put a new fear of zombies into veteran players if they knew a runner could take them out like this. New players are already scared of runners.

    1143. More foraging zones.
I find it strange we can't forage i.e. on farmland, or in green areas in towns. I'd be cool if foraging in these places was possible for stones, branches, earth worms, insects, etc.

1144. This one isn't probably a small suggestion, but the fitness system should be reworked. Every exercise, however small, should be beneficial for the player, increasing the damage/carry weight and endurance pool by tiny increments. This way we'd know that however small our workouts are, we get some bonus out of it.

As it is now, there's no point in using the fitness system if you have 6 or more points in strength or endurance - gaining the 7th point would take ingame months to get afaik by mostly exercising and doing little else.

1145. Removing grass should give us grass to use as kindling or to use in composter.

1146. Painting picket fences using different paints and colours.

1147. Cigarettes should spawn in random amounts from 1 to 20 in a pack, not always 20 in a pack.

1148. Traps with bait should have bait visible in the world to know at a glance which traps have bait, and which don't.

I like the idea of having to grapple with a zombie on the ground. Are you strong enough and not tired enough to push them off? Do you have a weapon easily accessible (on your belt or in your hand) that could be used to kill the zombie? A baseball bat or axe isn't going to be of much use in this situation unless they can be used as a bar to keep the zombie off of you.

Rain washing away the blood on exterior tiles. The old blood takes so long to fully fade away(if it ever does not sure?). Can't play with blood graphics turned on as it lags the game too much. If the rain/snow washed it away it would probably be fine.

1152. Fire should be harder to start in the rain. Or maybe items would get wet in the rain and you can only start a fire with dry items. Burn time of a fire could decrease in the firepit is in the rain.

1153. Zombie corpses should be an obstacle. An exhausted player would have a chance of tripping over them. Zombies should occasionally trip over the corpses. Right now cars recognize corpses as a object/harzard. You get a thump and some car damage when you drive over them. But corpses are not an obstacle for players/zombies on foot.

1154. When dropping stacks of items they arrange themselves in a circular pattern. It leaves an odd visual display on the ground IMO. Maybe stagger, but don't rotate dropped item stacks.
