  1. Chiming back in just to say this still occurs in build 41.65. But melee with the force-ground attack move also behaves weirdly at windows. If a zombie is climbing in a window, and you hold the force-ground attack button while its climbing in, you will hit the air, instead of the ground, and miss. This video is me at a window holding ALT to force-ground attack with a hunting knife, but it appears to get overriden and not attack the ground while a zombie climbs through a window https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26-UZwy97Vg .
  2. Thought I would bring this up again, now the game is to recieve updates again beside MP. It feels utterly terrible to sneak up on a zombie, and just before you do your backstab, you are suddenly seen by 2+ other zombies and it is simply disabled. Even if they are far away and no danger, and the one you were attacking has no idea you are there. It feels hivemindy and gamey. Hoping short blades can get the same treatment as spears on the insta-kill check instead of this. Or even an option in-game to disable/enable these safety features, enabled by default. Short blades at the moment feel more like a tool than a weapon, because its critical hit is more integral to its use than other weapons, and it gets disabled too easily. Beside the other issues that short blades has: You can backpedal and solo hordes without any skill investment. It feels extremely cheesy, and isn't really a healthy new weapon identity for knives. Short blades should probably get some slowdown on movement when attacking, maybe less than other weapons, but something that atleast requires investing in nimble to do so like other weapon categories require. Maybe it could stun less on hit? Speaking of stun on hit, it also seems really weird that if you do the normal stab attack on a zombie from behind they fly meters away after being hit, whereas a baseball bat hit from behind, if it doesnt knock them down right there, keeps them stationary.
  3. The audio messed up, but I got a perfect recording of it https://youtu.be/s_Nn2_zB0yU . In this clip I only used "Cheat Mod", so I could spawn myself a m9 pistol and zombies. I usually don't play with cheat mod enabled, so its unlikely to be the mod. This is on build 41.50

If you shoot zombies as they're on the floor after climbing through a window, and they survive the shot, they insta-standup and will either begin to chase you or crawl back through the window they came from. Shooting zombies after they've climbed over a fence just stuns them on the floor if they survive, as intended. Happens a lot with the 9mm pistol and low aiming skill. This does however not happen if they have to climb over furniture after the window

The recent Spear change to make the instakill move, that oneshots zombies but roots the player, making it not happen when zombies are grouped near you but work at any other time seems to work very well. My suggestion to give the same change to Short Blades that can instakill, instead of its current chasingzombies > 1 = no instakill
  6. I'm sad about the knife nerf, but its overall got a lot of welcome changes and fixes. But I am curious about this last part here in the quote - how do you achieve this situation in normal gameplay? I've attempted this with 10 lightfoot, 10 sneak, graceful and inconspicious, but a zombie detects me no matter what when I am behind them as if they have their own vision circle around them like the player.
