  1. I just had a thought while reading through the release notes... Will the PC requirements for the game change as it updates?
  2. Even when covered with a bandage? When was that added?
  3. Oh I love that movie, and the 1992 remake was good too. I own the first one, love watching it for the whole 'house survival' vibe. Once creative is out I might make the house in-game.
  4. Yes please! I have had a few times where changing a bandage was a panic scenario because there is no pain, the bandage stays clean, but then when you take it off you start gushing blood.
  5. Sort of on topic: before they erupted, they mentioned this happening on Easy. In the release notes it says that this feature isn't on during easy mode. They may have been right about it being a bug (Assuming they were on easy)
  6. "You now have a minor "chance" to spawn a new player with minor injury (could be bandaged), minor panic or a bit exhausted, won't happen in easy difficulty " Apparently it might be a feature now? Do you know if you spawned with it?
  7. I do have mods, btu I noticed it seems to be a system sound according to my sound mixer, but no errors pop up, and screamik says his friend uses no mods but has the same problem. I had the last version before and had no problems with my mods though.
  8. TheWraithPlayer suggested I post it here to see if it gets noticed: Basically, each skill can have a trait which gives a boost (10-20%) to earned experience, but gives NO skill points. It would be cheap (1 or 2 points, depending on the skill's 'importance') and would be mutually exclusive i.e. you can only pick ONE 'talent' for your character. PS: As well on a side note, what about being able to use zombie ashes for fertilizer? Like adding it to the compost bin, ashes are usually good for gardening I've heard.
  9. I'm loving the changes so far (Especially the furniture you are looting being highlighted, very useful) But I noticed a weird bug(?) when I start it up. It starts beeping while showing the indistone logo. Like an electronic beeping? Anyone else getting that? It stops when the menu music takes over.
  10. So I'm thinking of a trait (Or set of traits) that give certain skills a boost to Xp gain. Like each one would give a person a +10% experience boost (or more) in a different skill, but doesn't grant any levels in it. It would be cheaper than the skill level ones, because it doesn't grant any actual 'knowledge'/ It could be done one of two ways (that I can think of anyways) : 1. It is free, but only one can be chosen (Each is mutually exclusive) 2. It starts low, but each skill bought after the first increases in price.
  11. I'm not sure the engine would support that, I was thinking a simpler solution would be to 'find' puddles when you forage. In the same way you find branches, rocks, sharp rocks, berries, etc. It would just appear in the inventory window. EDIT: Pic from NEO Scavenger Wiki

In the game NEO Scavenger, you can scavenge 'water sources' (Like rivers, lakes and...Puddles) well I'm not suggesting the rivers and lakes, but what about scavenging puddles of water when it rains (And for a few hours after it rains) to fill water bottles with (Or when really desperate, to drink directly from)? I remember reading on the forums a character who ended up dying of thirst in a rainstorm in the woods. Seems like it could be fixed.
  13. With enough medical knowledge? yes, as well it is in a few survival manuals out there so a survivor could be able to find the information themselves.
  14. Just a note, shoulder dislocation can be fixed solo, it just hurts ALOT and requires a heavy weight and know-how. Basically you swing the arm with a big heavy weight attached to try and sling-shot the arm back in place. It's as painful as it sounds.
  15. Can confirm, got burned from a stove bad enough to leave a permanent scar. It would hurt alot. As well, you would heat up a metal object, not use direct flame. Heat + Pressure = cauterized, otherwise you will just burn the wound open.
  16. You are a person of taste I see. I love that place sooo much! Once creative is out I am turning it into an over-run survivor camp.
  17. I think it would be awesome, perhaps have on the forums people could leave their frequency and try to chat with someone on occasion. Would make some cool RP moments, maybe like this: I love this video

  19. That makes sense, and each time you could get like an extra 1-5% chance of getting it correct. The more time you spend examining the clearer the picture you would get. Also you might want to see this post too if you like medical ideas! He has some great ideas too!

  22. I really like this idea, would add alot of atmosphere. The 'Lost Pages' (Don't actually use that name though, Dead Frontier used it and the maker might take offense) could each have a time where they can start spawning to add long-game variety when looting zeds. And depending on the 'batch' the notes could start optimistic (This will all blow over soon, and then I can get some anti-biotics for this scratch! But I'm getting sleepy...) but as the months pass you can find more bleak notes (They threw me out, those bastards. I told them I got cut from the window but they didn't believe me. So what if I was lying, it's bites not scratches, right?) and yeah I would love a community forum to submit pages to. I have some exp with writing a journal, my favorite character is Melissa Morgan (MeMo for short) she is an Herbalist who sold herbal medicines before it all went down. I like writing memo's from MeMo (I only now notice memo and MeMo is spelled the same) in a journal she carries. It's neat to play as different people and would be very interesting to find journals and/or pages with their stories.
  23. why stop at salt? Add proper seasonings and sauces to mask the flavor of bad foods make an edible can of crap. ketchup, mustard, vinegar, etc.
  24. how about a 90% chance of getting torn wallpaper (Thats all torn and missing peices when put up) a 6% chance of being totally destroyed and a 4% chance of getting the full clean sheet and these numbers change with carpentry and blade skill.
