  1. I have found machetes in the Hardware store in Riverside the last 3 playthroughs (Weapon spawn set to normal in sandbox) 41.20 IWBUMS
  2. yes, i keep trying combinations of the settings, I thought I had it down to day/night active, then did a clean reset and it would not be consistant across new plays. I can't fnd a common setting that is causing this. It is very frustrating.
  3. I have tried many combinations of sandbox presets including giving zombies best navigate and memory, but some other setting is breaking it. Could someone load up one of the presets i posted and tell me if zombies are not attacking.
  4. No luck, just set Cognition to Navigate and Memory to Normal and no attacks. And I would have thought short memory and basic nav should be enough to trigger and attack standing next to them and pushing them. Since memory even has a "none" option.
  5. Just tried again clean install (rebuild steam files), new user data folder, created this preset (that has very similar settings to the ones above. Custom sandbox-> load this preset = no zombie attacks. A note is this is in IWBUMS 41.20 another_slow_death.cfg
  6. No mods, clean install, even deleted my user zomboid data folder and let game rebuild it. I has to be something triggered by the preset options, if I chose CUSTOM SANDBOX -> SURVIVOR it get attacked/damaged If I select any of my custom settings files, zombies will not attack at all, only walk into you. Attached is an example preset file, if you I load a new game with it, zombies will not attack. Slow_Death.cfg
  7. Any custom sandbox settings, zombies will move to you but never attack.

  9. Building walls then building into window frame causes window frame to glitch out if space open below it. If i look away the window frame is positioned correctly, if I look towards it it drops down.disappears
  10. As title suggests. I noticed Life and Living TV Channel is broadcasting its Day 1 morning show right at 7 AM, so if you don't spawn near a TV you'll always miss the 1st program of game start. Maybe that's just how luck is, but I would like a chance to listen at game start if I can find a TV.
  11. What is the small red rectangle (that contains a number) that pops up randomly in the lower right corner of the UI when playing? I noticed it once or twice since B41 came out and with 41.19 it pops up every minute or so, especially in large open areas. Also stuttering/performance issues in open areas/combat with 41.19 not present in 41.18 EDIT: Stutter is only when zoomed out and in vehicles, if I zoom in 1 or 2 levels closer the stuttering smooths out (unless driving). I had this same stuttering in a previous B41 version but 41.18 was considerably smoother all around. Usually a close/restart of the game clears up the stuttering but it returns after about 5 minutes of game play on 41.19 AMD Ryzen 5, 16 gis ram, GTX 1660ti
  12. I just ran through two games (41.19) starting in Riverside and kitchens seemed to have the correct spawns for me, but fewer items than usual. Sandbox settings are Food and weapons to normal, other items to common. I did find a body in a house in the trailer park holding two rifles and two boxes of ammo, followed by a double barreled shotgun in another trailer park house during the same run, which seems a bit extreme. Will have to try bumping down weapons in sandbox and see if there is much difference. I would have expected more kitchen knives and such than guns and ammo.
  13. I'll try that thanks, I figured it was just dumb luck as the distribution tables show cigarettes SHOULD spawn. This smoker just can't catch a break. If only NPC's were in to trade with. I'd assume the prison would be a goldmine. Are the loot spawns generated in a wide area when the player loads/moves into an area, or are building interior loot spawned after a player enters the house/building?
  14. So I've raided the convenience store, tavern, gas station, and small warehouse. Killing Zed's along the way. Found 0 cigarettes so far but have two pistols (1 fully loaded with mag!) and a sawed off shotgun with a box of shells. Did everyone in my world just find nicotine patches or move to vaping? Also found two Tote Bags and both contained 80 plastic bags (yes, 80).
  15. Not to dig up a necro thread, but is the source code available for ItemZed? There are features that are broken as noted above, and other things that don't work as expected with new(er) versions of PZ.
