  1. The man speaks the truth. I lather my video card with a butterknife coated in virgin blood liberally before and after play sessions and my games work great!
  2. Intel HD Graphics can't do anything more than TF2 on low without being frustrating. I know, I had a laptop and then a potato of an HP desktop that I had replaced. Your CPU meets recommended specification, and your RAM well exceeds it. I have not bought Skyrim on my PC yet, so I have not tested myself, but if your package supports a video card and you want something immediately on the cheap that should work, I have an XFX AMD Radeon HD 5450 2GB ( http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-PCI-Express-Video-ON-XFX1-DLX2/dp/B008N1DU8W/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1377234619&sr=8-5&keywords=radeon+hd+5450 ) However you might want to decide to wait and buy something better, since there are cards available that aren't too much more but outperform this video card. I'm not sure how finicky mobos are with video cards and all that jazz since I haven't built a computer yet but here's a good resource to have: http://www.logicalincrements.com/ tl;dr: Your intergrated GPU sux and you should have it replaced.
  3. Well no, in vanilla if you balanced out radioactive artifacts with radiation-absorbing ones you can up your weight capacity by a bunch and allow yourself extra ammo and maybe an SMG to complement your rifle and pistol. That stinks.
  4. Well I have 117k RU now anyways, so money is of no issue lol. The only trouble now is finding out how to make artifacts go into my suit in LURK, and finding cool guns that are also actually functional. Like the AR's the mercs use jam every 5th round, and many don't really have as good a ballistics score as my AN-94. I might just switch over to an M16A2 or something if I find it, for fun. But then again, scopes make bandit encounters a lot quicker...
  5. I just started a playthrough using the LURK mod. I've been encumbered most of the game as if I were playing a Bethesda game. I keep thinking the next camp I find is going to be where I can sell my junk and get some rad guns. This is because I played Clear Sky a lot more than SoC so imagine hiking through garbage, defending that warehouse you thought would have a trader in, in the pitch black for like 20 minutes. Then finding nobody, and then running over to the stalker base near Duty and once again finding no traders. All I want is an M4. :c
  6. If I could vote for french toast I totally would. I make a mean french toast casserole, it's the freaking bomb because you get this whole top layer that's extra crunchy and then all the eggy french toastiness underneath it.
  7. Heist the heck out of various places. No violence, since I would be able to see them coming! Or be a surgeon. Or both. What would you do for some dusty buns?
  8. ^ But only a mini one < Hacks apart more corpses on the ground than people standing up in Chivalry v Is a useless peasant
  9. Sure, I'll give myself a refresher on the game. Even if I fail to make some epic lava-spewing statue of a cheese wheel I'd at least keep the dwarves mostly alive. I'm still not sure how I kept my last fort alive with silver warhammers (Wiffleball bats because of silver's weight apparently) and nothing to eat/drink but purple helmets.
  10. Join the FBI and spy on you in your house. You're in a moonbase with no communications to Earth for a month.
  11. http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=59026.0 Here's the Lazy Newb Pack for DF, it's a collection of mods and tile packs put in a convenient launcher. It's got soundsense which I highly recommend because Simon Swerer's guitar picking is dare I say, totally wicked-gnarly radical. I really do need to email him to see if he'd give me tabs. Plus Dwarf Therapist helps with those 30-immigrant waves. Hope this improves your DF experience
  12. Been getting back into Skyrim on the Xbox. I had a spare 400 points on my account too so I got Hearthfire and it was neat building a house. Then I made a suit of mega-pimp ebony armor with 100 smithing, enchanting, and potions so now I can cast destruction spells for no magicka cost and do +120% one-handed damage. It tickles me when a bandit is still saying "I'm going to love looting your dead body!" while their head flies through the air. Derkeethus is a pretty cool companion too since he can't die, and he's the only Argonian follower. Going to be playing Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup later, too.
