  1. I like them all tbh, I do think New Vegas is better than Fallout 3, but I still think FO3 is particularly great. Love Skyrim, Oblivion etc as well. I can understand some of the hate for Bethesda games as there are sometimes some pretty idiotic design decisions but I don't think it's as dire as people paint it to be.
  2. I'll say that the latest season is my favorite so far. They've ramped up the action a bit, some of the characters that were completely ridiculous, such as Carl, are beginning to finally grow up and develop in meaningful ways. The fact that they're holding out in a single location sort of alters the entire approach they take to most situations, as does the number of people involved. I'm not going to hold my breath that it keeps up, but they seem to have changed pace a bit, and it's nice. There are sites online that you can freely watch the latest episodes on, and torrents are pretty much out for individual episodes in good quality by the next day. Yeah, I know I used to use a site to watch the show, going to have to see if I can track it down. I have never nor will most likely never torrent. Still if you felt the same about the characters and you think it would be getting better, maybe I should be a bit more open to the show again. But I mean you give it 3 chances I think you're well within your rights to write off the show after that.
  3. Careful not to jump out an already open window on the second floor.
  4. @EreWeGo (Uni is blocking quoting for some reason) I still have to watch the most recent season and I am curious to see if it's improved since last time. Hopefully I can actually get around to watching it (or finding some way to watch it) soon enough.
  5. Yeah of course, I'm not pretending this should be a mandatory thing, if you want to just go edit some tiny pieces of the wiki, then go knock yourself out. Hell even if someone is going across the pages and notices that the page is out of date then doing something as simple as editing it and adding {{Notice|outdated}} at the top is a HUGE help. This is because this notice automatically causes the wiki to categorize it as out of date, and has a higher chance of being noticed by someone (such as myself) to edit it. So of course, go nuts! If you want to find some pages to edit, or want someone to check the page you edited then feel free to make a post here and I'm sure someone (probably me ) will get around to it. Every little helps man.
  6. Don't feel bad--by the time this is done, I imagine Spiffo will have the longest page on the whole wiki I damn well hope so I already got a folder chalked full of what I can only assume is every iteration of Spiffo, just need to find the time to upload them all and add them to his page.
  7. Change.org is a bit bollocks.. The petitions rarely work, and some use the petition as a twisted way of advertising. I don't generally like Change.org.
  8. You have excellent taste in games.
  9. That's me done for tonight. I was able to fix up Player (included instructions on character creation) as well as fixing the FAQ tonight. I also noticed that the occupation page was linking to a page for every job, but it looked like they were all mainly stubs. Therefore (with permission from Pianoman) I consolidated the information and requested that the pages get deleted. I'm going to take a look at the guides tomorrow and stuff that is linked on the front page since I imagine that is what needs to be critically changed, since that's what players will see first. Anywho it's been a long night so I'm off to bed. Most likely think about the wiki while I'm laying in bed.

  11. I have been making the assumption that stuff associated with recipes and items are outdated (though hadn't look to confirm that suspicion. Suppose I can change that. Going to add these under Urgent as well. Edit: I will say regarding guides, I'm still flip flopping on them. I'm aware they need to be updated but alot of them seem to be personal guides. Hopefully the original authors may come and update them but if not I guess I'll spruce them up.
  12. I've added it to the Urgent pile. I also updated the FAQ. Didn't require much, but if anyone could make sure that everything is in order that would be helpful. I'll link other tutorials on the page once they have been updated.
  13. Very nice manual! The PZ Wiki links to this manual in the FAQ but was linking to the old version so I have updated the link for you. It points to this thread instead. Again, very nice work!
  14. That would be great! I posted some stuff up in the OP but I'm still having a look around the wiki. No doubt there will be plenty of things to edit.
  15. I got to say, I hate the show. I love the comics but the show leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I'll say why, but spoilers ahoy. Major spoilers for the first two seasons. Jacqui is again an underdeveloped character who's just there. Not much to really say about her she's just so damn bland. Edwin Jenner however I felt was actually one of the strongest characters of that season and felt he was incredibly well written in that final episode, that it gave me hope for the next season. Still, the fact that Shane survived the camp didn't feel like it was because they were trying to do something different, but more to do with the fact that they didn't want to lose a character that could create a conflict for Rick and Lori. The second season is absolute abysmal when it comes to deaths. Otis pissed me off to no end. Again he played a bit of a bigger role in the comics but was just quickly disposed of in the show, which was a shame because I was kind of interested to see what would happen as a relationship between himself and Carl and Rick etc. However, never materializes. Dale was actually a bit significant but was for the stupidest reasons. I imagine it was going for a reap what you sow with Carl but otherwise killed off a relatively decent character for the stupidest of reasons. Then those two. The names I can't remember but they die when the farmhouse falls. I hate this mainly because the episode before, after being absent for ages say a few lines (one of whom was only there to create conflict between Rich and Herschel) then they die. It happens in the third season as well. Remember Axel? Remember how right before he dies, he starts developing some fucking character then is immediately killed off as a blatant middle finger. It just feels like the show is so scattergun in it's approach. It develops characters it's about to kill of right before they kill them off, eventually making the whole affair pointless and trivial. Bleh. I don't like that writing in the spoiler. Might come back and clean it up later. Just hate this so much!
  16. Have you played the Arma 2 campaign? It's pretty.... awful. Apart from the occasional sandboxy mission which were alright it was an awful mess of a thing. Out of place music, awful voice acting as well as pretty poor AI. The only reason Arma 2 became so popular before was the niche it was in along with the Modding community and the ability to create epic battles in minutes. Then DayZ came along and brought more people into the fold. What I think is more deserving to be pissed off at is the content. I'm aware that they wanted to place it in the "near future" but frankly. Screw that. The lack of weapons plus the similarity between just about all the BLUFOR main weapons (I mean seriously what's up with that?) and the lack of vehicles pisses me off to no end. I want my M16 and M14. MP5 and M21. I don't care for the new stuff. I might like it more, if there was more of it, but there isn't. At a first glance it can be incredibly tough to actually tell what the difference between the weapons actually are. Yep, I agree. But I must stress that the ArmA 2 campaign, while not brilliant, had co-op and the first mission alone was far more interesting than what the first campaign episode threw out. I also feel that we will be getting less content wise with the campaign than previous installments. This is just another nail in the coffin for the ArmA franchise. As I ranted about before, the creative design and the lack of any sort of meaningful assets on full release is hugely disappointing. That is true. I think this generation is showing more than anything that nostalgia for the old doesn't mean the new will be good or better. I expected more from these games and I also expected ALOT more from Takedown (seriously, what the fuck?) it's kind of made me think that these series should probably stay dead to avoid more disappointment.
  17. Appreciate it. Like I said this thread is more to see what others feel needs the most updating for the wiki and such and I'll be sure to speak to you about some things. I certainly won't be making any major changes (apart from maybe a page overhaul if it is required, but I would see about clearing it with you before hand.) and I won't be touching the main page, unless it's for minor edits again something I would check with you. Such an honor! I appreciate it very much
  18. Now as many people may of noticed the wiki is looking a bit old. Information is out of date and sections of the wiki are stubs or links to empty pages. As seems to be the discussion, this needs to change. Many of the workers at The Indie Stone do not have the time to dedicate to the wiki to update it, so it's up to us the community to try and get this information up to date. How? Editing it. WAIT! DON'T CLOSE THE TAB! I get it. Wiki software is... interesting to navigate and use. Don't want to edit it? That's fine but that doesn't mean you can't be helpful. If you are completely afraid of editing the wiki (which is fine) then all you have to do is have a quick scan through the wiki and look for key things. What pages are completely out of date? What requires an overhaul? Which pages do you feel should be of higher priority? Is it minor changes or huge ones? Do you go to reference a page on the wiki and find it doesn't have enough information for your liking? Then say something. Post a link or say the topic you feel needs changing and say how important it is. I will designate it (and hope others would use this system too when posting in this thread) of the three stage system. Information Layout What Needs Editing Emergency Edit Required Urgent Edit Required Edit When Possible - Staff Profiles - Just generally check around the wiki. They seem a bit empty and barren. While doing some research on Spiffo I came across a few interviews which could fill those pages up. They're also not formatted so figured that needs to be fixed. It's also criminal that Will Porter has no page. I mean really, this should probably be classed as an Emergency Edit! - Characters & Story Just some things that could be expanded. I put these down low since getting the players to understand the mechanics of the games rather than the story I imagine would be more important, but I'll probably give this an edit later in the week. 20. It won't really. While people bitch about the comment systems and such, Google won't do shit until many, many, many high profile YouTubers stop posting videos on youtube and decide to go somewhere else. In the end why do people go to Youtube? Some just browse, others go see their favorite youtubers and therefore it helps bring in money for Google. "Then why not just block youtube ads. Send Google a message?" great idea, but flawed. You would need to bring in a huge amount of people to make even a slight difference and if it did become a huge enough problem Google would invest more time into circumventing the ad block systems. At the moment this whole debacle is just hurting content creators more than anything, since comments are able to distribute malicious links and such. While I find it admirable that people would switch to somewhere like DailyMotion or Vimeo you have one problem with that. Monetization. While I'm unaware how Vimeo handles it I'm pretty sure Dailymotion has no system in place, or if they do a pretty crappy one. Not to mention by switching sites your hurting yourself since you would see a drop in how many viewers there were on average, since a 1:1 retention when switching channels or sites is an incredibly tough thing to pull off. I imagine the only way Google would ever bother to change the system is if a huge chunk of content creators left, or people kicked up so much fuss it started getting covered by reputable news sites and newspapers. Forgot to add something. Above all else people are generally... well. Lazy. When push comes to shove I doubt people will put much effort in switching sites, creating accounts and following people again.
