So... i started a new game in sandbox so i could maybe see if there was any major difference in weather etc. depending on the time of year. Right off the bat i suffered a complete loss of dignity.... i was struggling to escape a small cluster of the beasts and i find myself bitten and bleeding. I checked my inventory and there were no bandages (fail). As the cluster grew in size at the scent of their prey, and as i slowly tried to make my way safely away from them and also stem the flow of blood, i realised there was only one option.... i was going to have to rip up my pants. 
 
I am now several days in heading north via the farmhouse and Dixie Trailer Park.... still haven't found and trousers.
 
What were your lowest moments in game? Has anyone tried Rat soup yet?

Some pretty good stories there guys. Funny shit. I'm sure as i survive longer (hopefully) the loss of dignity will become increased. Hopefully at that point, i will have found some trousers.

I had thought the blade weapons would have required some kind of grinding stone to sharpen them, but this is great!!

Cortman Medical is pretty good as a secondary safehouse because it's fairly near to town making it ideal as a stop-over for looting runs etc.

Dida take my word for it, I'm the fucking Mac expert here. Java is packaged with the game and functional, using Java 7. You need to launch directly via the JavaAppLauncher if you want to play right now.
Edit: to be clear, I spent about 20 hours of working sorting the OS X shit- if you really want an in depth outline of what I did I can provide it, but I wouldn't recommend sitting in here and arguing with people who did the work on this stuff.

yes..... mac.... :/ Both EVE Online patch and Zomboid patch have not worked today which all directs me to one thing..... buy a PC.

Running all the way to the farm west of Mudraugh without a tent because I didn't know they were a thing on this playthrough but had heard of the farm in the west. Make it to the farm exhausted, drenched, and generally, miserable (but not sick). Excited because I am coming from McCoys Logging with a crazy huge number of nails, a hammer, a sledge, an axe, a trowel, a watering can, and an assortment of seeds, and in a locker a big dufflebag to store it all in - couldn't have asked for a better run (and haven't had luck like that since).
 
Clear the area around the farm house, clear the living room, entryway, kitchen, bathroom, second bathroom, but not the office at the east side of the house. Go upstairs, clear it out, feeling pretty good. Amateur hour with the zombies and I am teflon. Notice there is a nice flat roof outside and climb through the eastern window through the two bed bedroom on the second floor to get onto said roof to get a look around and plan a second floor building extension only to fall through the roof into office I didn't check into a three way between two zombies, Home Alone style.
 
Since this was the first trowel I had ever found, I had foolishly dug a trench outside after clearing the floors and before trying to get on the roof (to try it out for my first time) and it was still equipped when I tumbled through. Shovel fighting worked a lot better in Day of Defeat.

I'm currently in my lowest moment by far. 3 months in, I've exhausted pretty much anything worth eating, I'm scavenging water from toilets, eating dogfood and cooking rats on a campfire. I can't farm anything because of the cold.
I have plans to go to West Point by foot, I already have packed a tent kit, a campfire and 2 cans of soup - probably the last two cans of soup on Earth.

I felt kinda stupid when i realized that bleach not is food (Although it says so in the game). It took me a couple of characters to understand what was killing me. 
English is not my native tounge, but maybe yall got that

I leave the stove on (accidentally) during the K&B tutorial, and head back upstairs to chat with my wounded wife. Suddenly the fire alarm goes off in the middle of our conversation, and I freak out. I rush downstairs and see the fire spreading in the kitchen from where I'm standing at the base of the stairs, so I begin running for the front door. 
 
Meanwhile, I'm on Teamspeak with my friends, and one of them tells me I can pick my wife up to save her. 
 
I sprint back upstairs, run up to the bed, pick up Kate, and then make my way back downstairs to beeline for the front door. The fire has spread to the archway by now. I open the door and begin walking forward, but I am greeted by a massive horde of zombies on the other side. Before I can even react, they rip my wife out of my hands and tear her to shreds before me. 
 
I retreat back to the center of the room, covered in blood, and I just watch in horror as my wife is reduced to a pool of blood. In my broken state I sprinted through the flames in the kitchen to run out into the back yard, but my shattered frame and soul succumb to anguish.
 
It was fucking nuts, and I loved every moment of it.

Many moons ago I back when surviving was a cakewalk I stocked up a mega amount of goods and huddled away for something like 6 months before one of those maniac survivor AIs decided to burst his way through my double barricaded doors; bringing with him a legion of the undead. 
 
I knew it was over, but I just couldn't accept my death. My swinging lasted twenty minutes before I finally got overwhelmed. Going through countless weapons. I may of made it if it wasn't for the idea that if I fixed the problem with quick measures (shotgun, yeah, guess what happened next) it'd go away -- it just made the situation worse. 

I hope it is not to late. I saw this topic today and decided to make a picture of the old demo (I played the game a long time ago).
 
First I want to say, I really enjoyed the game, always thought about buying it, but other things kind of gotten in the way and I never had the money to spent it on the game. Alright, sure I had 15$ at some point, but we all have to save up money for next gen don't we? And it's not like I can spend everything on games...
