DoritoS got a reaction from crossed in Inventory Interface?
This is probably one of the things that irritate me most in PZ and I'm not even sure what you call it. That little line you can drag that separates "item" and "category". Why in the name of god is the space for items so damn small while category has an ABSURD amount of useless space? Every time I need to open the game I have to re-adjust it because I can't tell how many of one item I even have. By DEFAULT please, in the name of Spiffo, move that little damn line over so item and category have at least a 30-70 space ratio. I can understand not making them 50-50 for aesthetic reasons i guess? Maybe it's to keep more of the screen visible while in inventory, but still.

Please tell me everyone else want this?

I've never been excited for fishing, but this is enough to make me really wanna take the skill seriously. Thank you for your hard work.

Maybe you could start with 0 but get a +1% immunity with every scratch (inflicted by a zombie, obviously) you survived as your immune system develops a resistance.
You'd most likely die from the scratches before you reach 5%, but there would be a chance to develop full immunity and become an absolute legend

User Burger Time made a post about how he would like to improve the medic skills and I'd like to add my own two cents without de-railing his post. There are many ways in which you could improve the medic skills but what I'd like to focus on in this post is a practical way to lvl up your character in the first place. One of the biggest short comings with the role is injuries that are curable don't occur often enough in a play-through to get anywhere. You're more likely to die of zombafication LOOOONG before you can reach even lvl 5, unless of course....you hurt yourself, yes, hurt yourself. I broke my own legs, and jumped through windows to reach lvl 10. My proposal is to allow players to examine the suicide victims you can find riddled around the map and expariment on them as a doctor would use pig/ artificial skin to practice his suturing. When close enough to a corpse an additional menu would come up letting the player work on the deep wounds, bleeding, fractures, gun shot wounds, etc.
If a new player found of you could Dr. Frankenstein corpses it would definitely be a neat discovery and hilarious.

I also believe each level you have in medical should reduce your likelihood of zombafication by 1% as well. Maybe let players "flush the wound" within a small time frame and apply medical skill level to reduce the chance of zombification.

DoritoS got a reaction from grammarsalad in Post Papers on Cork Board
There's been talk in my Discord about renting a server for Zomboid, so others can get on and play their characters without having to rely on the host. Obviously time in the game is still advancing, but people that normally would manage things like crops, or resource gathering might not be online. It would be neat if you could pin messages on paper to the cork board for others to read.

    ie.
    - Don't forget to water the crops
    - Bring back more thread if you find it

Some advantage to doing things this way would be organization, and it wouldn't take up floor space.

I've thought about the use of cork boards for a while. They could really turn into the hub of your survivor community. Not only could you add notes/messages as you mention above but you could pin a map of town on the board, so people could mark off what buildings had been looted and what area the community were targeting next. Potentially, you could trace the map so you could take a copy out with you. You could pin a calendar on there and mark off dates for certain events, like when crops needs to be watered etc. Add lists of what supplies the base desperately needs.

Cork boards could be really valuable, something where people could just log into a server, look at the board and immediately know what the community plan of attack was, without the need for anyone to be there to explain it.

    4. Cooking is a clicking-marathon.

I never ever cook anything special in this game. Too much clicking for too little gain. I only go as far as cooking animals I trapped.

Having the game check a nearby vicinity (25x25 area would suffice I reckon) for cooking utensils and ingredients in containers and on the ground would be sooo much better. Also adding ingredients one by one is a nightmare that you need to get through every-single-time.

Someone suggested the ability to save custom cooking recipes. That with vicinity search would help to reduce the cooking hassle.

Occationally things get frustrating and we do, do that, the adventage of spawning seperate is a greater chance to finding the rarer items, especially if loot is set to rare.

I believe it's both more realistic and fun to add compasses as loot. I mean, just on your block there's probably at least 1 guy with a compass in his house right? That's really all I'm asking for in terms of rarity.

I think legible street names would be fine as well, both preferably.

More professions should have perks unique to them, similar to how the Ranger can move through trees faster. Some professions are rather weak, especially when they can be leveled up passively while playing under another class which can make it difficult to justify choosing them. I'd suggest buffing the burglar with a lock pick skill that lets you open locked doors without triggering alarms.

Somone as OCD as myself would really appriciate the option to beautify your makeshift home and shelter from the undead. Patches of flowers, rose bushes, herbs, grass, etc.

Earlier a friend and I were making a new storage area and encountered an issue; some boxes would not stack. We tested to see whether it had something to do with only "like" boxes stacking or not stacking, however there seemed to be no no rhyme or reason. Is this a possible bug?

This was the first, and so far the only part of the game that I looked at and was REALLY disappointed with. It looks so...lazy, and hardly like water honestly. I'm sure it leaves a bad impression to first timers. Surely animating just the water tiles you see isn't too resource intensive, and much less work than what is currently being worked on.

Can you imagine waking up to a panic moodle years into your save, your base is about to be decended on by several hordes, a cities worth of undead and you're suddenly given a countdown until rescue. Moments before your inevitable death an in-game cutscene plays with a military convoy pulling up, a dozen soldiers jump out completely one hitting every zom in your way to safty. That, would be a neat way to end the game mode.
