  1. If you cook it long enough, you can probably get away with eating rotten meat. The heat will kill all the pathogens and neutralize most toxins. Even better if you cut the meat in little pieces and change the cooking water a couple of times, to get rid of possible remaining toxins. The result won't be very palatable, but nutritious and probably safe. Notice the use of the word probably.
  2. I would choose the power to win internet discussions. I would be, like, a virtual God.
  3. Man you suck at this game! I am totally whipping your ass! Oh.. No... NO!!!! NOOOO!!!! *Viceroy is now melancholic* Actually, the "What If I told You" meme s so old and tired that it can only exist in the past, so I didn't really post it because.... Oh crap.
  4. That was then, I would say that most locations are survivable spawning locations ATM. And I'm far from the most talented PZ player.
  5. We used to have those, but for some reason this was disabled, and replaced by a system where you start in one of 10 or so locations in Muldraugh or WP. I personally think it would be more fun to go back to a randomized starting location again, If that's possible that is. IIRC it was originally changed to avoid hard starts, but randomly getting F-ed over is, like, the point of this game isn't it?
  6. Actually, you do have a point. I also often have to hover over the mood-lets to tell the difference. So your idea is good, but as sfy pointrs out, it might work better with other colours
  7. This can't be left out because it's a very common and basic DIY modification. two magazines taped together with duct-tape like this to dramatically decrease reloading time.
  8. Being cold or even mildly hypothermic is not going to shut down your immune system. It will most likely work less than optimal, but it will be nowhere near seriously compromised, else hypothermic people would with some regularity develop a syndrome similar to AIDS. I only see it becoming an issue when someone is chronically mildly hypothermic, More severe hypothermia simply won't last long because if it isn't resolved quickly it will generally be fatal. In both cases the temporary strained immune system won't be much of an issue.
  9. In the one/ some of the versions iof the olden days you were able to use a wheel-binnie as a cart, so at one point the devs actually sort of implemented one of your ideas, I expect they will one day re-implement it (but I'm in no way certain of that)
  10. By the time cold is starting to compromise your immune system, the increased possibility of contracting the flu and the common cold are most probably the least of your problems. Better implement a hypothermia/hyperthermia system, instead. It's fine to derive some increase in chance to get sick for not caring for yourself by (among many other things) not keeping yourself warm, but being cold = getting flu is fairly nonsensical.
  11. This playthrough on youtube.
  12. I suspect this row. you can grab a beig piece of land with 20 walls or so and expand in modules of sorts. http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.62885196320298,0.10198280545062119,72.61856865704016

This is interesting. I'm sick and tired of luring zombies away from my intended safehouse because of the eternel mess they make.
  14. Why isn't cheese more like chocolate? It makes no sense because I don't like cheese and I love chocolate..
  15. I don't worry about the NSA, because I've nothing to hide. Why wait if you can light the fuse of this topic right away
  16. One of these brick houses is a good place to set up: http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.495467332765748,0.2210373179476676,59.291374724713954 -Lots of fat loot targets nearby -Forrest on one side unbreakable fence on the other side. Only two directions zombies can get to yyou, ergo little zombies to worry about. -Big, two story houses with everything you need. -All the forests you'll ever need.
  17. I don't know about this. Crappy fences are most probably build completely crappy, so it makes sense that when you want to improve them, you tear them down and build better ones from scratch. Improving a crappy fence would not really result in a good fence, but in an improved crappy fence that's somewhat better than earlier OTOH it's not fun at all to knock fences down to replace them, and worse, you loose a lot of material while doing it.
  18. I had a nice well stocked fortress in the house in the middle. It's fairly sheltered from zombies, but still close enough to a lot of good places full of goodies. I could find everything but the Master book for Carpentry in Muldraugh, so I decided to travel to try my luck Enigma Books in West Point. After a long walk I arrived in WP and was promptly greeted by a zombie who fatally bit me in the groin. Then I Laughed and laughed and laughed..... and rage quited before I thought of making a screenshot of the fortress. http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.49495080457385815,0.2231049213650471,99.22903012752127
  19. It would make for a very interesting game with all the spread out little hamlets.
  20. I play sandbox because I'm an obsessive compulsive hoarder. 1 hour is to short to do all I need to do AND store my stuff in such a way that doesn't make me twitch.

Sandbox Mode was something the devs definitely didn't want, but the idea had overwhelming support in the community. The resistance of the Devs to Sandbox mode is still visible in the "proper zombies" box you have to unclick if you want to play with anything else than the zombies as the Devs envisioned them. It's so we will always know that the Devs are sad when we want to have ourselves ripped to pieces by running zombies or something instead of Proper Zomboids ™
