  1. Last run with build 31 lasted for over 3 months before I got bored. Tried built 32 for the first time. Was ded in 4 hours. The old ways don't work anymore apparently.
  2. I waited for the 32 update to give this a good spin, because I had the 32 build figured out to the point I survived for months, = not much spawning going on. I'll keep you informed if I encounter bugs etc.
  3. You can always try Svarog's "Cheaterman" mod. It gives you the possibility to create whatever character you like, http://pz-mods.net/professions/Cheaterman/
  4. In game, my spiffos typically get their very own safe-house. Well, eventually at least.
  5. IIRC Project Zomboid is set in late nineties. I know it's a significant time before the present.
  6. I would secretely love to see a Miley cyrus zombie. She (of course) comes in like a wrecking ball, or rather on a wrecking ball that destroyed everything in its path in one hit. And then she gets off it and proceeds to make out with your sledge hammer. It would ruin the game, but I would laugh so hard.
  7. The gateway drug hypothesis is nothing but a unsubstantiated belief system. There's no evidence whatsoever that it works that way, and it's not likely there ever will ever be any, because it's going to be very hard to prove or disprove it. Your personal anecdote also proves exactly nothing. Anecdotes never do.
  8. I don't think the fact that there more guns than people in America, combined with the fact that many, if not most, people don't have anything in the way of formal training with those guns, will necessarily turn out to be beneficial in case of a zombie-induced societal collapse. That said it's hard to see how slow zombies would bring on the apocalypse anywhere, unless they start out/are discovered near or past the point they reach critical mass in the population. Once they get past a certain point, and I don't expect that to be very high, 5% of the population or so, there's no going back and most people will turn.
  9. This keeps getting better. I really like how it's turned out.
  10. If the NPC's are in, I want a mission to look for the cure. And when you finally find the cure, it turns out to be an eighties new-wave band, which is unfortunately zombiefied, and proceed to rip your head off.
  11. Since humans are, quite literally, full of shit, ingesting (more) human fecus is (despite its obvious ew factor) not necessarily dangerous for ones health. Which is good because due to the same fact it's probably much more common than you want to believe, even in hygiene obsessed Western societies. It's only when you ingest specific microorganisms and parasites that shit gets real. that problems arise. And yes, there's plenty of places where people don't have access to clean water, but even there people mostly get away with it despite the fact that dirty drinking water is one of the biggest public health issue on this rock. Also problems typically affect people with weak immune systems, like young children. If ingesting contaminated water or food would haveten/usually result in food-poisoning etc, even in the Western World people would chronically suffer from intestinal infections.
  12. A real shitty start can be great fun, but I guess there's a bit too much forest to make it completely random. because that would mean only one in twenty spawns would be in another place than the in middle of the forest. But I guess it wouldn't be to hard to generates spawning points of limited zones around the in and around build-up areas
  13. I tested four, two spawned in Muldraugh and two in West Point. Btw, would it be possible to make a mod that generates completely random spawn-point? So you could spawn you literally anywhere on the map?
  14. Actually, you'll probably be okay if you do just that. Even if it's contaminated your immune system will probbly take care of any microbiological threat. How do you think people not only survived but thrived before basic hygiene became popular a couple of centuries ago?
  15. *A carpenter that has to improvise with very limited means.
  16. I like the idea and it wouldn't be hard to implement AFAIK. I personally would prefer to go even further and would love to see much more different spawning points. Preferably one in every building if it was up to me. This could result in very difficult starts like in a cabin in the middle of nowhere so you have to make your way back to (collapsed) civilization on a can of dog food and a bottler of toilet water.
  17. @Keepbro 1) As luck would have it, we have examples of countries that have (partly) decriminalized drugs. This doesn't seem to result in an increase of drug related problems, in fact it seems to reduce it. 2) Comparing the use of drugs, (like, say, drinking a cup of coffee or a couple of beers,) to honor killings is ridiculous.
  18. Works like a charm in deed. Thank you very much, @Svarog
  19. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stampede Also, I googled on the pressure a skull can withstand and the lowest estimate I found was 520 pounds, so if someone steps on your head, it probably won't result in traumatic brain injury Because the skull can easily withstand that kind of pressure.
  20. Thank you very much, Svarog, I'll try it out tomorrow as it is nearing my bed time here. @UnmotivatedZombie: more to have access to a wider variety of characters, but fooling around with an overpowered character can be fun, yes.
  21. Yeah, I did put it in the game directory, and now you mention it, a UI file got copied, so that's probably the problem. That would be great , thanks
  22. It's sort of what I had in mind, but instead of a cheater profession, I'd prefer a cheater trait you can choose. That way you can create a truly custom character because you also get to choose a profession. Still thanks for the Mod anyway, it's still very usable for my evil schemems. One thing, the "only 1000 points"version of the mod seriously messes up the layout of the starting screens. Everything still works AFAICT but it's not particularly pretty.
  23. Thank you for your quick and complete reply, Svarog, I think it's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Now leme see if I can get it to work...
