  1. Might have confused it with the normal Cheese Sandwich, which spawns in the bakeries. Grilled Cheese Sandwich might still be making a comeback at some point. I'd like to put a cheese sandwich in one of those toasters, personally.
  2. Butter is a difficult one, while butter does eventually go rancid, it's very unlikely to grow mold or bacteria. I agree it probably should eventually rot, but in the real world this can be up to several weeks and ~3 months refrigerated, which is a lot longer than most people seem to survive. I have to disagree with adding expiration dates to medication. While your medication does have an expiration date, the expiration date is more of a "potency guarantee". Most medications can still provide their positive benefits several years after they "expire". Disclaimer: Until the Zombie apocalypse does happen, I would recommend that you avoid using expired medication. EDIT: I misinterpreted what you were saying about the medication, saying that they should all be "Food" rather than "Drainable", right?
  3. I found one you missed. From newitems.txt 4960 FishingRodBreak: Fishing Rod Without line -> Fishing Rod Without Line capitalising the "L" in "line"
  4. The metal from baths, sinks and toilets may just be for their plumbing and faucets. Though I do agree there's a lack of consistency between the "plastic" chairs and tables.
  5. This isn't exactly an item name, but in items_radio.txt RadioMag3 TeachedRecipes says: Craft Makeshift HAM Radio, capitalising HAM, whereas all the radios use the lowercase version of Ham Premium Technologies Ham Radio US ARMY COMM. Ham Radio Makeshift Ham Radio In the weather build btw
  6. With this update there were some changes to how much RAM/memory the game uses/needs. So your system may no longer meet the system requirements. I can do my best to help you though. Firstly, do you have a PC or Mac? Is it 32 or 64-bit? How much RAM does it have? If you don't know, leave a screenshot of your dxdiag. You can find it by: 1. winkey + R 2. Type "dxdiag" and press Enter. 3. Take a screenshot and post it.
  7. The official wiki has unfortunately been left in the dust after the last few updates. So I'm asking if anyone is interested in contributing to getting the wiki back to a partially up-to-date state again, to please consider visiting the community portal to see how you can help. Whether you're a beginner or veteran in Project Zomboid, there is definitely somewhere on the wiki that your time and effort will be needed and appreciated. If you'd like to help but are clueless about anything and everything, please do leave a message either in this thread, the community discussion page, my talk page, the steam thread or on the discord #pzwiki channel. Don't be shy, I'm sure all new players would appreciate a more up-to-date wiki that you've contributed to. Please consider contributing to one of the following projects: Vehicles and Mechanics version 39 added a heap of new features including items, vehicles, mechanics skill and more, that are currently missing from the wiki. Spiffo's Construction Crew Metalworking has been pretty much missing since it was first added to the game along with the related items. Carpentry has also seen a lot of changes in its lifetime which may need to be added or updated. Seat Yourself Furniture Furniture has been one thing missing from the wiki which has become a fairly big part of the game since the addition of dismantling. More projects can be found in the Project Directory The wiki is a place where the community can really come together and geek-out over the game, sharing knowledge and secrets they've discovered in their time playing. If you're interested in learning more about wiki editing, a number of help articles have been prepared for you, including a beginner's guide to editing. We have also prepared a list of priority issues that are in need of attention. For more out-of-date articles consider seeing these pages that haven't been updated since version 0.2.0p/0.2.0r (2012) and 2.9.9.17(11) (2013).
  8. 851. Time controls (fast-forward, pause, etc.) should return to normal game speed if the button (or hotkey) is pressed again, essentially turning off fast-forward/pause. For example, if the game is in 2x speed then clicking the 2x button (or F5) should return it to 1x speed. It should be the same with the other speed options, including Pause/F3. This is very minor but would improve fluidity, especially when using hotkeys and accidentally fast-forwarding to the next day instead of returning to normal game speed (which I've done more times than I'd like to admit). Image for reference
  9. I get ya. I can't say I'm on either side of whether batteries and gas should be degradable or not, I understand that it's a game and balance and enjoyment are more important than 'realism'. I just figured that might be the case with car batteries based on my interpretation of what Axezombie had said. Cheers for letting me know that about batteries anyway. At least that won't be added into the Wiki.
  10. I really like science labs, whether or not they were working on a cure. I really like the idea of an abandoned lab in a zombie apocalypse. Asylums - mental Winery - with all that farmland you'd think there'd be a winery somewhere Power plant - Mill Creek Station is a coal power plant next to where Valley Station is in the real world. Could be an abundance of coal/charcoal Refinery - storing an abundance of gasoline Railway Stations - although I think they might already be planned
  11. Expanding on this^ suggestion plus my own 762 More throwable items to distract zombies stones (755) empty tin/pop can sparklers/box of sparklers sports equipment, give all the useless balls and such a use Bell +ability to ring it to draw zombies towards you 763 Use coldpack to reduce pain moodle. 764 Use toys to reduce unhappiness, stress, boredom 765 Use crayons to write in notebooks, journals, paper and maps +red and blue pens 766 Clean blood with a sponge, like the mop 767 Add socks, red wine and chardonnay to molotov cocktail recipe. Pretty sure socks used to be a thing... 768 Empty wine and chardonnay bottles refillable with water. 769 Disarmable security/home alarm, requiring a certain electrical skill, and give player the home alarm item after disarming.
  12. Pretty sure that's not a bug, it's probably intended to be like that. Just like real life, if you don't use a (car) battery it'll degrade/discharge over time and eventually go flat on its own (although 6 months is very quick for your standard alkaline battery, but it's a game). (see EnigmaGrey's post below) Mentioning that, I'm wondering if making gasoline degrade over time should be added or not. This is probably still planned. I think I remember RJ talking about it in discord the day vehicles were released. It might be more of a 'proof of concept' sort of thing for now.
  13. I'm assuming this is the chair you're talking about? I initially thought it might be because there was only a texture for those two directions, as is the case for some objects. But I can confirm that the art is there (so long as this is the right chair ).
  14. ESC definitely works. Whether it be in a vehicle, out of a vehicle, reading, transferring items, with the engine on, with the engine off. E or any other key isn't suppose to cancel the action. The "Cancel Action" key can be changed in Options > Key Bindings > Player Control > Cancel Action. I think it might be an idea to add either E, W or SPACEBAR to cancel an action as well, as I'm aware pressing ESC in a frantic situation may not be the first key you think of.
  15. Someone else on Discord mentioned they've been seeing this a lot, however it's the only time I've seen it like this. I did also find a missing tile here: https://map.projectzomboid.com/?#0.3422100218222915,0.2794052309844263,197.81359483314137 I confirmed it twice with a new character/game, except it was gone after a reload. Batsphinx mentioned you already had it recorded though. Thought I'd mention this as well, again, in case it was related, since you said the wall appeared after generating the cell again.
  16. Flibble666 on Discord noticed a house is missing a large chunk of its wall. This is seen on Build 39.66.3 Checked on Build 38.30 and the wall was not missing. Coords: 13814x4682 Cell: 46x15 Rel: 14x180 Location on Project Zomboid Map Project Note that although these images were taken from Blindcoder's map project, it was checked and confirmed in-game. Not a graphical glitch as I could walk through where the wall should be. Build 39.66.3 Build 38.30
  17. The part info tooltip for the Trunk Lid says: "A damaged trunk lid may result in objects falling from your vehicle." So what does this mean for vehicles without a trunk lid? Whether it's been broken/removed or, more specifically, the truck bed for the Chevalier D6? Since it doesn't have a trunk lid, will items randomly have a chance to fall out? Seems like it would be important to know. If it's already been mentioned, a link to the post would be appreciated. Picture reference for those unaware of what the Chevalier D6 is.
  18. Thanks RJ. I'll look into getting that fixed on the wiki. @Shinjitsu noDeshi the discord wiki just displays the raw code for the item, so I highly doubt that'd be changed to incorporate what RJ has said.
  19. The wiki is based on this line in newitems.txt: ConditionLowerChanceOneIn = 20 So maybe that field isn't used, or it's been misinterpreted?
  20. The official PZwiki has been updated with the new changelogs. All the public vehicle builds released up until now have been archived here.
  21. Proof The Indie Stone really listens to their community
  22. Build 39.64 and Build 38.30 Singleplayer When in "place mode" and having multiple placeable electronics (radios, walkie-talkies and TVs) in the main inventory, cycling placeable objects with the "R" key does not cycle through all of the placeable electronics and only cycles through the one. Example 1: Player has a radio and a walkie-talkie in their inventory. Entering "place mode" with the radio and pressing the "R" (cycle) key will do nothing, i.e. will not cycle between the radio and walkie-talkie. Example 2: Same as example 1, except player also has other furniture such as a chair and a table in their inventory. Entering "place mode" with the radio and pressing the "R" (cycle) key will only cycle between the radio, chair and table. The walkie-talkie will not be included in the rotation, unless the radio is dropped/placed. The same thing happens with all the electronics I tested. I've only managed to test it with the WalkieTalkie1, WalkieTalkie2, WalkieTalkie3, HamRadio1, RadioRed, RadioBlack and TvWideScreen. After noticing in build 39.64, I tested in build 38.30 where I still encountered the issue. Also noticed if I entered "place mode" through the walkie-talkie (or any electronic) contextual menu, it would switch to placing the radio instead (I think it was the WalkieTalkie3). However, having the TvWideScreen in the inventory as well, would always switch to placing that TV instead. Personal Thoughts To me, seemed as if all these electronics were recognised by the "place" mode as the same object, with a preference list with TV at the top going: TV > Radio > WalkieTalkie. Tried to see if this had already been reported, but I didn't see anything.
  23. It's suppose to hurt you, just not kill you. I think it's capped at 75%, as in it won't decrease below 75% from encumberance.
  24. I just noticed being drunk has no effect on the player when driving. Such as swerving and losing control, as is what happens when on foot. Is this intentional/known?
