  1. Thanks for the response. Have you noticed if there is a vertical limit or is it just a horizontal radius? Basically, If I put the solar generator on the roof of a multi story building, will it reach the first floor?
  2. You can create a log stack now, can hold up to 20 logs, but it is a pain in the rear to position and set up and you end up with a ton of these stacks all over the place. I was kinda thinking of something that would allow you to keep things a bit neater than that.
  3. So I have been doing a little searching (Google is not being very helpful) and I am having an issue finding an actual definitive listing for the radius that the various generators provide power for. I am trying to figure out where I will need to place them, and how many I will need to power my base that I am building at the Elementary School in Muldraugh. If anyone has a link or something that will help me with this I would be extremely grateful. If there isn't an actual list, if someone could provide me with some info on it ( even guestimations would be cool) I would appreciate that also.
  4. So I was wondering if there is a way to add in some sort of high capacity log storage "bin" or something? Basically it would be something you would have to build that would be used to hold large amount of logs that would fill up as you added more. Like the things people use that have a fireplace and they fill up with logs for winter. I figure it would require you to place it next to a building or a solid wall of some sort and would be able to hold up to 100 (more or less) logs. I think this would be something that would definitely be used in a situation like the one the game is set in as you would definitely need to stock up on logs for both building materials and also as a fuel source for fires and what not. Now if this is already in the game then I really need to find it soon. What do you all think?
  5. I was standing by several piles that I had moved and picked up 5 to make the pile and thought it would do the same thing. Just stayed in my inventory and wouldn't let me drop them until I unstacked them. Then I could drop them in a group of five. Am I doing something wrong or should I try to make the stack with the logs on the ground? So after restarting my steam and the game it seems to be working. I go to make the stack and it auto places it to the ground. Not sure what was going on, but my game had been acting weird and laggy before so maybe it just got hung up on itself. Works now though so....
  6. So I was wondering if you are supposed to be able to drop the Pile of Logs that you can make? I just finished making a pile from logs I had on the ground and now I can't drop it to get rid of the 1k weight of the pile. Thought to use that to better organize the logs I had, but it isn't letting me drop it to the ground.
  7. So I have noticed that when you build your own floors that extend beyond the walls of an existing building, if you walk under the floor you built it doesn't go transparent like the original building does. Now I haven't placed a roof/upper level above what I have built, but I had to go deal with a zed that had gotten down below and was almost mauled because the floor never went transparent like it does in a natural building. This just me or has anyone else noticed this?
  8. So I am wondering what everyone thinks about adding in a little speed buff or something to disassembly in relation to the various skills. For example, once you reach lvl 10 Carpentry you should be able to disassemble chairs and simple tables faster than you normally would. Maybe even making it speed up disassembly of all wooden items. Same thing could be applied to the other crafting skills like metalworking, electrical, etc. What do you all think?
  9. So I did a little search and haven't been able to find anything referencing what I am about to suggest, though I will admit I didn't look very long. So I know that you can practically strip a car down of most of it's parts and then use those parts to repair/replace other cars. I like this and am working on stripping several cars in my current play though. So what I was wondering/suggesting was if there is a plan to implement being able to scrap a car (after you strip it down or before) for scrap metal and scrap electronics (or additional materials if so desired)? I figure that amount of materials you would get would be dependent on the overall condition of the car. Maybe require a workbench or something similar to do it. Also with this, maybe implement the ability to town vehicles with a another vehicle so that you could move the car you wish to scrap to an area that you have the required workbench at. Just a thought. Sorry if this was already discussed someplace else or if it has been already listed as a no. What do you all think?
  10. So I have been finding several food items that are in the refrigerators that have gone rotten while there is still power available. I understand the food that is outside of a fridge or freezer, but why would they go rotten in the fridge? Is there a time frame where all food will go rotten even if it is inside of a fridge?
  11. Ok so I have noticed that my Blunt Guard Skill is not leveling like it was in the vehicle beta. I have beaten up a few zeds and I know my condition hasn't dropped for all of them, yet I have not gained any skill increase. Was that skill increasing changed in this update? I am on the new IWBUS build. Funny thing is it still says vehicle build when I start the game up for version type. Is that what is supposed to say or is it supposed to say IWBUS build version#?
  12. Ahh ok. Well that explains a lot. The game is still being developed so I am sure there will be some sort of change made in the future...well one can hope anyways. Maybe make the map lighting update when you load up your save or something like that. Then it might only cause a minor lag in the initial save loading up and then not effect anything during actual game play. Not really sure how they coded it or how it works so just throwing out an idea..
  13. I would but I died about 1 day later in game and deleted the save before I figured out you could start a new person in that save. If this issue repeats in this play through I will make sure I get a screenshot.
  14. So I was wondering if there a way for you to add in recycling of the unusable metal and wood bits? I know it says it is unusable, but I figured that if it required like 15-20 (or more) metal bits to create one ingot of metal and the wood could be used as a fuel source for the kiln, furnace. etc. Just a thought as you would find a use for scrap like that if you were trying to survive. Any thoughts on this? Something else I was curious to know was if you can make it possible to recycle all the bags that are available. For example the satchels and things like that?
  15. So I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I am in the school and tearing down some of the interior walls to make room and I noticed that the lighting acts like the wall I just removed is still there. Is this a known issue or something new? Also I haven't tested it in other buildings, but it may be something to look into (if it isn't already being worked on).
