Why are people so desperate to see their characters shit and have sex?

I disagree, it definitely does break the concept. A core part of PZ is that small decisions you make can get you into trouble down the line. For example, while trying to escape zombies you make a quick decision of walking down a cramped alley-way and get boxed in and end up dying or you decide to engage a pack of zombies and end up getting bit. Save-scumming would go against that so much considering you can just save-scum before every encounter or anything dangerous is in your way. The concept is "This is how you died", which perma-death definitely ties into.

Disagreed, I'm fine with professions and their unique abilities. Something like the desensitized trait being avaliable without veteran sounds OP as hell considering it eliminates panic, which is the main incentive of going veteran rather than police officer considering that veteran costs more and is only lvl 2 in aiming & reloading compared to police officer's lvl 3 aiming and reloading. Same goes for lumberjack's axe-man ability. Plus while there are plenty of good professions, none of them are vital. You don't need them to have a great character build.

I'd say 1993 suits the game just fine. Why does it need to be changed? It really fits in with the lore. The government was easily able to prevent most information from getting out to the public since technology was more limited back in those days compared to now. Mobile phones not being that common, especially in rural areas.

Plus I'm pretty sure the mad cow disease outbreak was still occurring over in the U.K during that time period which is what contributes to some of the paranoia on the radio/tv ingame.

I'd say GPS wouldn't suit this game in my opinion. While more types of maps would be cool in vanilla[Such as a map of the highways], GPS just seems so unnecessary. Eris mini map mod scratches that itch for the people who really want that type of thing anyway.

The character can see their own weight for balancing purposes I'd imagine. If you wanted some item required for weighing your character, why not just implement bathroom scale? You don't need to set the game in 2005-10 for that.

More advanced vending machine variety? What is even the point of that? It's just something you loot for snacks.

More food variety? Why make it set in 2005-10 for that? 1990's had plenty of different types of food.

Bites are a confirmed guaranteed death.

"Zero counterplay"? There is a counterplay. be careful in combat and don't get involved in unnecessary fights. It's possible to kill tons of zombies and not get injured, plenty of people can destroy tons of zombies and get away with no injuries.

If you get cornered and surrounded, I'm sorry to say but that's your fault for getting careless and not being cautious of your surroundings and the amount of zombies, it's very easy to walk away from fights[unless sprinters are enabled], even fast shamblers walk quite slow, not too hard to out-walk them.

Unless you die to a group of zombies attacking you at once, you can just remove all the important items from your character and stash them somewhere to pick-up later. It isn't that bad to have a character after the power and water is shut-off since if's probable that you already have a safe-house set up with supplies and the power and water shut-off isn't really that bad to begin with. Water is very easy to get your hands on.

Well it's not possible and never was.
It was made up to give you false hope that there was a chance. There was a bug which let you survive but it's always intended as 100%.

If there's anything unlikely to be conceded in, it's this. Sandbox is there for a reason, why people refuse to use it is beyond me.

It's not their fault that the mods are likely causing these issues in your game, you'd have to figure out which mod(s) is causing these issues.

Not going to lie, you seem very entitled, he tries to give you some advice to help with your issue but you call his idea bad and tell him to get another solution because you don't want to disable some or all mods?

Mods fundamentally alter the game. Blaming us for problems that could be solved by disabling them is not going to get you anywhere.

You’ll have to do the minimum to fix it yourself.

Most likely it’s the mods breaking it in the first place.

Why are you getting so angry about a beer bottle? I can understand getting annoyed about poor balancing that affects core/important parts of the game, but over a beer bottle? Asking for somebody to get sacked for that? Jeez.

    Made this report October 9,
to fix that you need 1 minute, nothing done even now, and you block my account for aking who make balance in the game, because I suppose he ashamed on his work and how he doing it.
Also I made post about wrong balance in bottles for water. One again - nothing done.
Beer bottle you add in previus path have unbalance stats 0,4 weight can contain 12,5 units of water, wine bottle can contain 12.5 water units and have 1 weight when full. You just copy past code strokes and too lazy to normally made balance.
To fix that you need 2 minutes, this is ridiculous. I made this post and it taking more time, than I'll just fix it in game files every time you did new update.
Can you fire the bummer who fixes the balance and hire a normal responsible person?

What a great constructive way to report issues. This is such a minor issue, it'll be fixed when someone gets around to it. There are far more important things they are working on. Insulting the developers is hardly going to get you anywhere, is it?
I wonder why, considering you're insulting them in general I assume you'd look to personally insult them because what you want isn't done which is what's truly shameful.

It’s a video game, not a 1:1 sim of real life. Even the current map isn’t a perfect representation, so I’m at a loss as to what the problem is.

An oddly loose relationship with the truth for someone that tells it like it is. I never said you should have felt honoured to be part of the test group, just as no one suggested you should "slave" 'away testing the build before it's released, or that the issues you experienced were the fault of your i9 and thus necessitated a CPU upgrade to smooth out. No one has called you a hater, or demonized you, or "attacked" you beyond explaining why "this" hasn't been going well for anyone involved in this chat. Though I admit I can see why having a bunch of unpleasant text at you can feel like an attack, I can only hope it provides a spark of empathy for how it feels on our end to be criticized over trivialities like ... failing to put functional glasses in the game months ago ...

No one here was asking you to work for us, to provide advertising for us, to educate our users -- something you objectively can't do in any noticeable capacity  with an average of 35 viewers, anyway. Yet, you seem to think you deserve a credit, an in-game item, even possibly paid and direct influence on the direction of the game for ... A few posts on the forum; a few hours streamed each week. It's a sad fact in life that rarely does anyone get "credit" for something others never asked them to do, but that acknowledgement is even far less likely when you peace out at the first step (the test group) and get snippy with the people you'd have to work with, should the rare thing happen and you actually get a job offer for testing a game (they're far rarer than you think; and even rarer still in the day and age when an ever-growing audience will do it for free or themselves pay for it). And by all means, don't think I'm attacking you for these beliefs -- I'm no believer in common sense after 9 years of this -- we all learn these lessons in our own time, in our own way.  We all learn, eventually, that it's not just about "me;" that relationships are symbiotic things: we make a game, you buy a game, you enjoy that game, you talk about and share that game, and it results in that game gaining popularity and we sell more copies; but you still get something out of it -- you get the game, you get the enjoyment from playing it; from your friends playing it. You even get viewership because you can make something entertaining with it. There's little point pretending it's all take and no give.

For anyone else experiencing slowdowns in the build, try turning off the FPS cap and disabling vsync. It might help, but it's a shot in the dark, so I can't claim it's the solution.  I would like to hear from others on it, if possible.  I really have no answers for it; watching other twitch users today, it seemed like their experiences were generally fine aside from some stuttering when seeing zombies for the first time; usually it seemed to smooth out after the first encounter or only happen sporadically later in their play through; it did not seem to match the stuttering in your stream, Koet. There's just very little to go on.

OUTSTANDING. I'd expect that from the big EG... but he didn't see that one coming from Nasko... I guarantee it...
