  1. do you want to know the occupation we would be least likely to choose? for me I pretty much don't choose any occupation that doesn't really help me right off the bat. Doctor, burglar, security guard, farmer, fisherman, ect don't really help me in the beginning so I never choose them. I think you should come at this from the other direction and ask what peoples go-to occupation is. Mine is Lumberjack. faster ax swing (great for zombies and trees), slightly faster forest travel speed. a strength bonus plus a blade accuracy bonus. My second favorite is the veteran for that sweet, sweet desensitization.
  2. the far west campground building at 4675x8598 now has a wall on the second floor, but is still missing lighting on the second floor in the main room and kitchen.
  3. regarding weather effects there are cloud effects now, so even though it might not be raining or snowing, it could be overcast.
  4. spiffospace needs an update to 40.18 when someone gets a chance
  5. hopefully it can be fixed, but I think this might be one of those thing's that can't be without disabling the lightning due to engine limitations.
  6. it sure seems to be, I haven't had any problems yet

    Men with Ven

with animations we'll be able to see our car doors, hoods, and trunks open, right?
  8. interestingly enough I had something similar happen to me last night. I had a metal wall shelf that I had looted somewhere that I had hung up. was doing some remodeling and attempted to take it down but had no option to no matter what tools I had on hand, I had to destroy it to finish my remodel.
  9. lol, I did think it was really creepy looking, I certainly wouldn't mind something like that happening naturally.
  10. awesome-sauce, no more crashing! however, when I was playing it rained for a few seconds - got really foggy and then turned super red. then went back to sunny day (all within a minute or 2) maybe someone was playing with admin weather settings?
  11. One thing I've noticed with the weather debug, is when you disable it it stays whatever weather it was when on, so if you disable it while raining it will keep raining, and it will be daylight 24/7 (possibly night 24/7 if you disable it at night, but I tend to exit out first thing in the morning after a nights rest, so I'm always disabling it during the day.)
  12. try without mods enabled. the more variables you have the more likely an issue will crop up and the less likely someone can help you. just because something isn't "overwritten" doesn't mean it won't cause glitches with something else.
  13. one thing is, you need to remove everything from a container before you can move it.
  14. is it not compatible with IWBUMS? it's not loading in for me. I have this mod, Filibuster's used cars and smaller vehicles, and POS installed. ::edit:: nevermind started a new game and its there now.
  15. found a couple more oddities in the far west campground. The building at 5010 x 8000 the door is lockable/unlockable from both sides without a key. the building at 4725 x 7990 has a window in a weird location - from the bathroom to the main hall (see attached picture) it also seems weird that the main camp road/s (to the two ranger stations?) are dirt, but I'm assuming that's a design decision to make you have to work for such a sweet setup.
  16. ha, wish I had seen this sooner - I just figured it out on my own and posted it in a thread in the bugs forum. Poster above me there pointed out if you open the weather debug menu you can disable weather and the crashing should stop as well. Now on to the reason I came to this thread, I went to the far west campground and noticed there are no cars anywhere in that whole area (rest stop and houses included). In addition to that minor issue, At the main camp ground building (see attached pics) a wall on the second floor is missing - you can walk right through where its supposed to be. There's also no lights on that second floor for the main room or kitchen.
  17. I forgot all about the weather debug menu. (although you might have problems at night - I was playing single player and had nice weather so no crashing, but once night came going from dark to light areas seemed to cause crashes for me - but maybe there was a weather effect going on I wasn't seeing) I tried a bunch of different settings and found if you disable 3d models (set to none) the crashing stops, but vehicles become invisible - all you will see is their shadows on the ground. Steam overlay can be on and all other settings at your own personal default.
  18. So my spiffospace save got corrupted right before the 40.16 update. I had to delete my save and make a new character. Now my safe-house is still there with everything, but I no longer have control of it. instead of bringing up the safe-house control box it just tells me the building is occupied. I'm really not sure if this should be considered a bug or not. ::edit:: destroyed some walls and then I was able to reclaim.
  19. RX 460, have a similar issue after trying to sleep - screen went black ( clock icon never showed up) could hear my character moving after I forced him awake but couldn't see anything and couldn't even pull up the menu afterwards, I had to alt-f4 to exit. ::edit:: went to play today and it only worked for a few seconds until the graphics froze just like Ungod. Steam overlay has been disabled since the 40.16 update. win 10 64 bit, Ryzen 3 2200g, 4 gig rx 460, 8 gig ram.
  20. it's not a stash stash. just an in game explanation for loot respawn.
  21. like your idea, but I think it should be impossible to open by melee smashing. If you don't have the key or combination you should have to use a mid to high level metalworking skill to be able open it.
  22. Currently we have options from no loot respawn to every two months. I was thinking it would be nice if we could have a more random timer like with the water and power outage options where it could happen (or not) in a given time frame. Combined (or replaced by, as it could be a bit redundant) with some sort of dice roll system that determines whether a particular container (or group of containers) will actually respawn anything, with perhaps another dice roll system that determines the loot rarity for that respawn time - I think could add some "life" to the world. The way I'm imagining it, your character completely loots a house. They come back after a while and maybe find some things they "missed" on their previous run, or maybe come across some other survivor's supply stash. Of course they could also find nothing at all.
  23. the temperature display in the car has always been there. there was never a battery level indicator. they simply added an option between Celsius and Fahrenheit with Fahrenheit being the default now.
  24. SpiffoSpace server is down ::edit:: It's back up but its telling me "this save is incompatible. please switch to steam branch "build 23" to continue this save."
