    913: Weather/storm/fog controls options in Sandbox.
     
    I would love to see some options under the Nature tab in sandbox to allow people more control over the weather. I really enjoy the atmosphere of the special scenario "A Storm is Coming." I'd like to  recreate something like that for multiplayer or just a personalized sandbox game. I like to create personally tweaked sandbox game depending on my mood. Having options in sandbox would let me capture the weather/storms that I loved in "A Storm is Coming" while also allowing me to further customize my game.

    Turbo's added (and improved on) this in the shift + backspace menu that'll likely be released on Thursday.

    Hello. I am hoping at some point in the future that options for the weather will be added to the sandbox options. Do the temperature and rain settings affect the chance of storms, etc?
     
    I love tweaking the sandbox settings to create "themes." Having the ability to really ramp up the amount of storms could fit well into that. Frequent storms as Mother Earth impotently rages against these unholy monstrosities crawling across her skin. Alright, that's a little dramatic, but crazy frequent storms would fit well into the "the world is ending" vibe.
     
    To be honest, I still need to play some with this build so the comment above is coming in blind with the exception of reading the Thursdoids.

    EDIT: So I just started a game under the "A Storm is Coming" scenario. I'm only at day two, but it's been constant snowfall and nighttime brought thunderstorms and dubious lighting forcing me to pay extra attention. I love it so far. Again, I'm only two days into that scenario, but so far this is what I'd love to be able to recreate under a sandbox game. Or server settings.

    The separate, independent vehicle dev branch should be moved to IWBUMS this month.  Once that happens, there should only be the two branches of stable (public) and IWBUMS going forward.

    Lol. I took restless sleeper and sleepyhead for a solo game a long time ago because I figure I'd just sleep more so it was free points. You are right, it sucked. After that game, I have never taken those again. If I can fit it in, I try to grab wakeful now as I'm scarred by the experience of taking both the negative sleeping traits.

    Looking for clarification here. Knockdown and knockback are different things. Knockdown where they fall down on the ground crying for an afterlifelong relationship with my boots where knockback is when they stumble back from a hit or push. You said knockdown is minimal because you are getting knockback while panicked. (What was your character's strength?) Just curious for some clarification.

    Yes, but you have to keep stuffing your face with food. I did I one time until I just gave up because I was eating all my food.
     
    Hmm can't seem to delete that first quote box with my limited mobile skills... Oh well.
