  1. @gravydigger56, try to disable all mods and run server (or install a new one) to check source of problems. 

     

    Worth to remember, Zomboid is actively using only 1 processor core.  I5-6500's with 3.2(3.6 turbo freq.) GHz is good for very small ammount of players.

    And UdpEngine problems is reason of 80% server crashes in my experience.

    Reason why i not hosting Zomboid servers anymore

     

    "Black walls" and "Air bites , no zombies nearby" is very frequent problems

     

    Having cpu with good frequency (4++ ghz) and 16 gb mem minimum helps a little. And absolutely NO to virtualisation.
    Also,  avtorestart server process frequently. My personal best result is almost stabile server with 3 hour avtorestart at 7700k +16 gb. Almost half a year and lots of patches ago .

     

    One mortre thing : Devs says that PZ mods can cause some issues. To make things clear, do you have any installed?

    No infection. You can be killed by zombie attacks. 

    Loot resp (a little)

    Hydrocraft mod - lots of new craft!

    x5 exp multiplyer 

    x3 books reading speed

    Generator not consuming fuel (but slowly brokens)

    Axe, Basebal bat, Water and digital watch for every new player

    Factions, trade, safehouses with no trespassing

  4. I've destroyed storage container, but it not resolves the issue.

    Have admin access and still cannot "open" or "take" it , even from the floor

    The sound issue isn't one of these issues. It's everywhere.

    To avoid any misunderstanding, i LOVE this game. 
    Personaly bought copy for all my kids and friends. Investing my time and money to server upkeep and forum help for other peoples.

    And it's totaly clear, that "early access" is NOT mean "final quality" 

     

    But let's face sad truth about serverside:

    - Any server (vanilla or heavy modded) works perfect at start. All issues begins 1-2 weeks later. I started new server (not removed mods from main) to check this.

    - its a frequent issue - server stops to accept incoming connections, no errors in console. Some times after (several minutes) issue disappears.  Seen in 37.17 build and later

    - sometimes server stops responding and you cannot issue console commands (very rare after 38.17)

    - after 38.18 (possibly 38.19)  seen some new error : server start lost connection with players , showing   "znet: Connection closed: reason=2 port=1" .  every server player experiencing this issue. Disconnects appears every 5-15 min. Switching map download to TCP does not helps at all. Sometimes its become frequent issue, sometimes not.  Players lost connection NOT in same time. it can be network problem, to be honest.

    - Memory menagement serverside is far from perfect. There is no warning when reaching critical ammount, just crash

    - Some "buffers" issue, can write about it later with more screenshot. Leads to server crash

    - RCON is accepting only TCP connection ( lost 2 days truying to figure it :-) Its not a bug,  just my personal pain).  Some incorrect rcon packets shows "java excepions" in server console.

    - lots of questions from new players about safehouses.  Can write a page of safehouse mechanics unperfection.

    - Cyrilic letters does not allowed in "Servermsg" ;-) 

     

    If developers team need some help, logs, remote access or anything else, we can help.

    But saying "its a mods problem" is not a solution for every case

     

    Realy, i wish this game become more popular and to say a big THANK YOU for all efforts developers did!

    We are not complaining, just truying to pinpoint bugs

    38.20 Is a client side update to fix sound, generaly. Not a new release.

    Generators stops working when you logoff or leave "map cell"  

    Some startnge things also happening with room lights 
    "no genertating generators" is just a joke from PZ Discord

    Can you please help with a toy wagon issue 

    Its looks like  any bag we put (accidentely) in toy wagon, become unmovable 
    If toy wagon moved to any warderobe, its become unvovable too:oops:

  11. When players connects to server,  short admin-defined message appears in chat appears and disapperas very fast with local/global comms.
    This method is not very efficent for informing players. New players frequently just skip this message and start's to find cover and searching for first axe :-)

     

     

    Can we, please, have some  GUI panel (possibly, like survivors guide) just in a middle of screen for admin-defined:

    - welcome message

    - short server description and rules

    CLICKABLE links for (discord, forum, steam group, website  etc). External browser launch. 

    - language switch 

     

    Changing workshop mod with "survivial tips" text,  every time you have to change some server info, is not an option. 

    Most peoples have it disabled. Somebody didnt nottice changes at this block at all

     

    Being unable to copy-paste from chat history also makes me mad a little ;-)

    Hi RJ! 

    - Is deleting Multiplayer/servername/map_zone.bin with active players online is safe? Or i need everybody logoff?
    - After tests on  backup copy enviroment ,  after deleting map_zone.bin,  i've loged in just inside sructures (??) and have some black spot around me and impossible to move. Noclip not helped me. still stucked. Only teleport to other spot resolves issue.  Is it safe for all players who didn't have access to teleport ?
