Well they said well in the past that there was going to be a SP test build first in IWBUMS and then MP, but alas that never happen and now it might happen? I didnt get that last part right, we just went into a big loop.

Also its great to see that the metal+microwave tactic is finally going to be viable, but what ever happen to gaining XP from watching TV? That was forgotten? The TV has been part of the game for a long time and yet that feature is not in place yet.

Overall i loved how informative this mondoid was after the dry state of the mondoids before it.

This mod lets structures come crashing down when their support structures are removed. All structures must have a wall in a 5x5 area below or get destroyed.
Also prevents players from building floors more than 3 tiles away from any wall.
Be aware that any player (and zombie) that is below a crashing structure will get hurt, maybe even killed...

Mod preview image by Onkeen. Thanks!

I'm still working on the details and effects of this, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to reply!

This is what happens when you remove enough supporting structures:

This is the new maximum distance to build floors:

And this is what happens when you stand below a single floortile crashing down on you:

And finally, download the mod here:

But why sleeping regens health tho?

Also, i dont know if it happens already or not, but maybe sleeping hungry should be difficult, thus you sleep very little or nothing at all, if you are literally starving you shouldnt be able to sleep for more than 2 hours without waking up.

I suggested this some time ago.

I just like The Long Dark approach where if the place is competently dark you cant read.

Candles and flashlights along with batteries are competently useless right now, this would make them very useful, along with the night events where zombies will see light in the house and may be attracted to them.

Maybe the game could check if you have a flashlight with batteries before reading in the dark and automatically equip it and produce a small light aura, same goes with candles and strike matches/ lighters, you take out the micromanagement and it becomes a thing about resources (batteries, candles).

Also the character could say something along the lines of "Its too dark to read here" so new players understand that they need a light source.

Maybe in lower light, reading is slowed as it is harder to make out the words, and so understand sentence in context, etc.

And, if there is no light, then it's impossible to read.

The effect should be mitigated by cat's eyes

Alright, so first of; if you're unable to respond nothing but sarcasm; go fuck yourself.

Secondly; TIS is a company, a business, and I bought a product from their company because of their advertisement based on promises that claimed NPC's and vehicles in their online world. A promise that has not yet been even close to being delivered, MANY years after advertising with it. So if you can't understand why I might have questions about how a product I invested in is doing in its developement; then go fuck yourself.

Thirdly; if you've heard this many times before, there might be a reason for that. It's not just coincidence. It's not just me asking this question. If you take a look on their Steam-page, there are HUNDREDS more asking the exact same question - namely because there is no one addressing the issue about the lack of the core elements that was advertised in this game.
If you're unable to understand this; then go fuck yourself.

    We're done here.

    SlyWolf and VanVon;
Thank you, for both responding like normal people, and not like the rest of the dim-witted fanboys that seems to saturate this forum. There is nothing wrong with asking questions about a product, especially not when you've personally invested in the business - to further their potential.

    For what is worth.

The devs knows that the game needs to be finished, so lets put that aside.

Project Zomboid has the reputation of slow development speed and for good reasons, shit happens, some features take less time than others and builds start going crazy, some features need to be pushed back so the completed features go forward and all that good stuff. Hiring new staff wont fix the development speed.

So what would be a small feature or update?
Right now to be finished, the game needs NPCs, hunting, the map with Louisville or al least Fort Knox and vehicles.

Now, NPCs, hunting and Vehicles are tied to the animation system that has been going for a long time, you cant make any advances on those features because well, like you said, you would need to rewrite everything.

As far as i can tell,  we are in a place where there is no smaller thing, that would be something similar to what happen in Build 35 where they pumped out features the community wanted to fill in the gaps while waiting for the animations, look at how that turned out because the animations kept begin delayed because shit kept happening, we just need to accept that the features will take a long ass time to get completed, i know in my heart that the animations wont get into the game until February or something like that and it hurts, but there is nothing you or i can do to speed up the process.

Project Zomboid was out even when early access was a thing,  back then was a tech demo out and the promise of "If you liked what you saw, you will get this and more if you buy our game", it was a promise between customer and dev and it still stands, even after the robbery, the bomb squad shit and everything that has happen to TIS, they still push forward to finish the damn game.

You just need to accept that TIS wont be any faster than it was right now, but its faster than it was way before, it cant get worse than this and the final product can only get better.

There is a mod that adds vehicles, that fills that neat little gap that you and i experience.
But the real pain is in MP, i still dont know how people do the trips in modded maps like, the game map becomes huge, i just dont see the appeal of running that time either.
