    I agree that cigs should be more easy to find on corpses than axes (since actually, zombies are my main supply of axes everytime i play).
     
    If cigs were more hard to find BUT you could grow your own tobacco and make your own homemade cigarettes of lower quality and less lasting effects (buffs), that could make up for good balance.
     
    All of this revolving around the balance of one trait, but it would give normal found cigarettes more value and it could be a commodity for NPCs with the smoker trait.

    If we will can grow own tobbaco, then trait smoker have to balanced from 6 to 2 or maybe 4... Anyway growing own tobbaco will be cool ^^

    I agree with you. Axes could be more rarely. But. If cigs will fall more often, what the point of perk "smoker"? Just free 6 skillpoints?

    Remember, this is good news because there has been progress, but dont get hype, this same thing happen some months ago with the female models that was the last obstacle in the animation update (around 3 months ago).

    It was in the firsts versions of the challenge mode, i think something bugged out there but my character had it after i picked up a normal hammer and i was like "wot".
     
    Also there are no watches or clocks in the challenge?
    I wonder if that is because there hasnt been an update on the challenge mode or its because of some balance issue there.
     
    I am going for the former and say that the watch/clocks arent in the loot tables.

    Wait, what was the advanced reloading mechanic?
     
    I recall it had something to do with taking out a magazine and you could chamber the bullet but i thought that was dropped ages ago.
     
    Anyway, i am glad to hear those good news about the animations coming up nicely.

    If we have a map, it'll be a fixed map like a tourist one and maybe you could write on it, that's all, not automatic drawing, pointing where you are, etc...
     
    About jar lids nope, it works like this and it make balancing easier

    I'll reiterate for the sake of completeness my favorite least favorite bugs:
    1) Wood burning stove stops working on move.
    2) Missing composter art in the build menu and composter won't build visibly.
    3) Large fence won't build anywhere.
    That's what I can think of at the moment.  Thanks!

    Well for one, NPCs are the threat that is suppose to fill that gap when you feel comfy inside your base.
    Also hordes in the middle of the woods is not the way to go, we still have that promised update of hunting/wildlife.
     
    So i am pretty sure we are going to encounter some sort of wolf, bear or some wildlife predator down the PZ road.
     
    If anything, DayZ showed me how great it feels to be threatened by wildlife in a zombie game when you think that the woods are safe to travel on.

    I also really like this idea, and to be honest we'll need something like this when UNNAMED FEATURE and UNNAMED FEATURE get in, so I think I have a strong argument to put to the team for the inclusion. I'm pretty sure it's been mooted before internally too tbh.

    @Batsphinx Regargind foraging and fishing %: personally, I'd rather have a text message appear above the character's head saying "I can't seem to find anything else here" or "There seem to be no more fish here" instead of percentages.

    I probably will do this at some point, but only when the map is more fully-fledged - and I won't change the actual details of what happens. Just more locations will be mentioned.
     
    When it comes to Louisville I was thinking we could do something clever when it comes to the actual days on the infection timeline that you're allowed to start on - when it comes to 'official' stuff outside player-chosen Sandbox settings anyway. We have some ideas on ways to keep players in the current PZ map before the exclusion zone border falls.

    yeah there seems to be some patches with the broadcasts (like presumably we'll be able to spawn in louisville from the start yet lorewise it isn't part of the exclusion zone for a few days)
     
    would like to see it get gradually upgraded/modified to fit new areas etc etc as development goes on

    Potentially an oversight, but as firemen definitely use an Axe for fire rescue (and for gameplay balance reasons) it would have made more sense to keep it in.

    I love this idea.
     
    When you are in the middle of running and you need to say something quickly, you can just pop Q and use it.
     
    Also it could work for NPCs to give quick commands on the fly.
     
    For the MP side, maybe you could customize them too.

    353: Here's a good one.
     
    Add the Axe-man trait back to the Firemen so more balanced for the 8 points the job takes away (It's just a small athletics bonus otherwise).
     
    Context: Fire officers had the axe-man trait already but it was removed after the last big job update. One thing Fireman are good at is using axes to chop doors down. While the trait may not have that functionality just yet, they still have the axe training/usage that makes them worthy of the trait.

    More uses for "Q"! I suggest the new menu, like on this crappy paint-made picture. For quick stuff-shouting! Like in Battlefield and L4D - hold button, select phrase and release to shout.
