  1. If you have issues with mods, try disabling them one by one or in batches to figure out which specific mod is causing the problems. Do it on a new save to prevent any issues on your current playthrough, as removing mods can cause items to be permanently deleted. After you find out which mod is problematic, consider reporting the problem to the mod creator on their workshop page.
  2. Do you have any mods enabled? Does the issue happen without them?
  3. Ask him to load in with a different username and to not add any modded items on his character on the creation screen.
  4. I have mainly seen this error happen due to mods, could you share the logs.zip file again? So I can check if any were enabled at the time of the error, or if any other errors happened before this one.
  5. Yes it is, it seems like it is a driver issue or the wrong graphics card is used. Can you make sure that your monitor is connected to the correct port on your PC?
  6. Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  7. The soft reset function does not work at this moment as mentioned.
  8. That is unlikely. Does it happen even when you remove all the mods? The signal would likely not be the cause either.
  9. There seems to be a problem with your game install. Can you try doing a full reinstall? First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there. After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
  10. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  11. Any other application crashes then? Any graphics card ones? Windows errors that might coincide with the time the game crashes?
  12. Failing to connect just comes down to two causes. The first one is network stability, if you use a Wifi or Hotspots, then those can be prone to failing to download the map. Having high ping is also problematic. Secondly, it will depend on the amount of map and items you need to download where you are spawning. You can try connecting with a different username and log in different locations to test for that.
  13. I can only recommend working with the server owners in that case to find out which mods cause the issue, though it would be up to their choice to remove them in that case.
  14. Can you check the Windows Reliability monitor for any ProjectZomboid application crashes there? If you do find any, can you share a screenshot of the Technical Details section so we can check the errors that show up there? https://www.computerworld.com/article/3575353/troubleshooting-windows-10-with-reliability-monitor.html https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/sk-sk/000178177/how-to-use-windows-reliability-monitor-to-identify-software-issues
  15. Depends exactly what you mean by that. If the only thing you lack is the server settings, if you did not copy them for example, then you only need to create a new settings file with the exact same name as the Save folder has in the Multiplayer folder. By default this name is "servertest" You can then load into the server by loading using that settings file, which would load the Save file.
  16. Are you able to join any other servers? It is very likely that the mods on that server would not be compatible with your system.
  17. Due to the nature of this error, I recommend anyone who has it to make a new thread in the Support forums and post their logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid and the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid” Since the OP's issue was already answered, I will be locking this thread to prevent confusion from other posters.
  18. That would generally indicate a problem or a memory leak with the mod, does this only happen with your mod?
  19. I would first recommend reinstalling your Java. After that, do a full reinstall of the game as well.
  20. Checking the version, you are on the Sonoma beta version, right? I personally do not have the specific MacBook you have to test at the moment, but recently another player on an M2 Macbook got the game to run completely fine, it is likely that there may be an issue with the beta version of MacOS, is it possible to roll back as a test?

  22. In that case, try setting the game to Windowed mode and lower all the other settings. Then check if the issue persists in this mode.
  23. Yeah I can only see a lot of mod texture errors here. I could recommend backing up the save first and then trying to remove mods from it to see if removing some of them lets it load.
  24. Maps are saved on each client, if the IP and Username to the server is the same, then the map will save across servers, once the IP or username changes, the map will be different. Players can choose to forget the map by pressing the X button on the bottom right corner of the map.
  25. Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -cachedir=C:\Zomboid > Start the game
