  1. If deleting the Scripts folder and verifying your files doesn't help then the issue is on the server, the server owner needs to update the server files.
  2. The server itself looks perfectly fine, likely the problem is as you described that for some reason your server is blocking or not binding to 8766, could you try installing the "Steam Client" and see if that helps? It would install all the Steam dependencies and what not and might fix the issue. If it doesnt help, can you check if you have any "steamclient.so" file in your server folder?
  3. I recommend wiping all of the server files and reinstalling it with SteamCMD, if that doesn't fix the issue then the problem would be on the players side and they need to do the same to the scripts folder.
  4. Are you able to connect through the favorite when you have the IP there and not the DNS name? And can you share the whole server log?
  5. Do you have any mods enabled? Some of them are not compatible with the debug mode.
  6. https://linuxgsm.com/ https://linuxize.com/post/how-to-use-linux-screen/ https://linuxize.com/post/getting-started-with-tmux/ These might be helpful to help you achieve that?
  7. What kind of graphics card do you have though? Since the processor itself or the RAM is unlikely to be the issue itself.
  8. Seems to be related to the voice chat, try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -novoip > Start the game and see if that prevents the disconnects? Additionally, are perhaps any players in your group using the voice chat?
  9. You mean you set them to false but it still kicks you out due to the exact same packet errors? Can you share the logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid from the person that is hosting?
  10. We added options to the server settings to disable the specific kick options, have you tried disabling them through that?
  11. You should be able to check the "item.txt" files in your server Logs, there you can see all the item pickups and item drops. Your own pickup of the note should be logged there. Use the coordinates of where you picked up the note and look for them in all of the item logs, it should show you all players who picked up or dropped the note and you can investigate based on that. There are currently no "writing in note" logs, meaning the best and only way is going through the item drop / pickup logs as explained above.
  12. Do you perhaps have Magnification turned on? As that would certainly mess with the scaling of the game. Try going to your Mac settings -> Display -> set to 100%
  13. Can your friend share their console.txt file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  14. Seems to be a corrupted "Base.PopBottleEmpty" item, do you perhaps have any mods enabled? Some of them might have corrupted the item.
  15. As far as I know there is no such file in the game, are you perhaps using any mods?
  16. Do you have any mods enabled? And if you do have you tried disabling them?
  17. Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If that fails, can you share your console.txt file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  18. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid? Share it right after the game crashes again.
  19. Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -novoip > Start the game normally
  20. As far as I know, it is not caused by many mini files on the disk or anything similar, but due to the Docker not having the correct permissions assigned to it to create the backup successfully. The fix is correct though, since disabling the backup means there is no need for those permissions.
  21. Could you share the logs again to check if the game is using the correct graphics card now?
  22. Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share a screenshot of the console window that should show in the background and I can check out the errors shown there.
  23. There seem to be several graphical errors because your PC is using the wrong graphics card seemingly. Can you try to force it to use the Nvidia graphics card instead? https://pureinfotech.com/set-gpu-app-windows-10/ https://support.serato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202305784-Changing-graphics-card-settings-to-use-your-dedicated-GPU-on-a-Windows-computer-
  24. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  25. Did you perhaps crash or forcefully quit the game when you played last time? And do you have any mods enabled on the save?
