  1. Interesting, in that case, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then see if that helps. If it does not, try disabling the external monitor and use your laptop screen as a test to see if the game launches, this would give us more info as to what the exact problem is.
  2. This time the log shows that the game loaded correctly, it is possible a configuration change on your PC would cause the issue in that case. So to try and fix it, I would recommend you do a full game reinstall. First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there. After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
  3. Can you tell us your system specifications? Do you perhaps have multiple monitors connected?
  4. We generally consider anything above 100 prone to issues and anything above 200 to be quite unplayable. That ping is way too high to have a good experience, and most of the issues you described would be caused by that. Therefore I can only recommend playing on servers that you have better ping and are closer to your actual location.
  5. Can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?
  6. You could try everything in the thread linked below, though as you can see, we do not have an answer as to why it happens exactly, the fact that the .exe itself works is a step in figuring it out though, I would assume a Steam reinstall might help in that case:
  7. If you want we can try several things to see if it fixes the Steam launch, or for a very fast fix I would personally recommend using the "Add Non-Steam game" option in Steam and then add the .exe to it. This way you can launch the game through the Steam library, since it would just use the .exe.

    Farming tiles

I would recommend reporting modded map issues to the map creator in that case.

    Problème

If you have an AMD graphics card, then the recent driver for it is causing issues in OpenGL games such as Project Zomboid. I recommend updating your drivers to the latest driver version from the AMD website: https://www.amd.com/en/support
  10. When launching the game through the .exe, does the Steam integration work? Are you able to join servers and enable mods?
  11. I would recommend backing up the save and then checking the mods on the server / removing them. The error seems to be related to a worn item on a corpse, so if you have any mods added that add new clothing or accessories, then they might be the cause of the issue.
  12. Do you perhaps have any mods enabled? Does the error show up with them being disabled?
  13. Are you able to join any other servers? Is anyone else able to join this server?
  14. In this case, try doing a full reinstall.
  15. Yes you will need to contact the administrators in that case.
  16. It would depend on the failure, but generally hardware failures can prevent an application from starting.
  17. There is no setting to change the timeout for the map failing to load at this moment unfortunately.

  19. Are you the one hosting the server? Do you have access to the server settings?
  20. Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam and then share a screenshot of the console window that shows up? It should show errors that will help fix the issue.
  21. They load at game start, unless you disable them and then restart the game. You can also go to your Zomboid folder and delete the "mods" folder there as an alternative.
  22. The logs unfortunately still all show mods enabled on the main menu, you can check yourself by looking for "mod" in the console.txt files. The previous err pid you sent is Nvidia related though "nvoglv64.dll" causing the crash. The only fix for that seems to be a driver reinstall as written here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/467489/nvoglv64dll-crash-to-desktop/ https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Faulting-module-nvoglv64-dll-when-launching-AutoCAD.html
  23. If you have issues with mods, try disabling them one by one or in batches to figure out which specific mod is causing the problems. Do it on a new save to prevent any issues on your current playthrough, as removing mods can cause items to be permanently deleted. After you find out which mod is problematic, consider reporting the problem to the mod creator on their workshop page.
  24. Do you have any mods enabled? Does the issue happen without them?
  25. Ask him to load in with a different username and to not add any modded items on his character on the creation screen.
