  1. Failing to connect just comes down to two causes. The first one is network stability, if you use a Wifi or Hotspots, then those can be prone to failing to download the map. Having high ping is also problematic. Secondly, it will depend on the amount of map and items you need to download where you are spawning. You can try connecting with a different username and log in different locations to test for that.
  2. I can only recommend working with the server owners in that case to find out which mods cause the issue, though it would be up to their choice to remove them in that case.
  3. Can you check the Windows Reliability monitor for any ProjectZomboid application crashes there? If you do find any, can you share a screenshot of the Technical Details section so we can check the errors that show up there? https://www.computerworld.com/article/3575353/troubleshooting-windows-10-with-reliability-monitor.html https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/sk-sk/000178177/how-to-use-windows-reliability-monitor-to-identify-software-issues
  4. Depends exactly what you mean by that. If the only thing you lack is the server settings, if you did not copy them for example, then you only need to create a new settings file with the exact same name as the Save folder has in the Multiplayer folder. By default this name is "servertest" You can then load into the server by loading using that settings file, which would load the Save file.
  5. Are you able to join any other servers? It is very likely that the mods on that server would not be compatible with your system.
  6. Due to the nature of this error, I recommend anyone who has it to make a new thread in the Support forums and post their logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid and the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid” Since the OP's issue was already answered, I will be locking this thread to prevent confusion from other posters.
  7. That would generally indicate a problem or a memory leak with the mod, does this only happen with your mod?
  8. I would first recommend reinstalling your Java. After that, do a full reinstall of the game as well. First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there. After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
  9. Checking the version, you are on the Sonoma beta version, right? I personally do not have the specific MacBook you have to test at the moment, but recently another player on an M2 Macbook got the game to run completely fine, it is likely that there may be an issue with the beta version of MacOS, is it possible to roll back as a test?

If you have issues with mods, try disabling them one by one or in batches to figure out which specific mod is causing the problems. Do it on a new save to prevent any issues on your current playthrough, as removing mods can cause items to be permanently deleted. After you find out which mod is problematic, consider reporting the problem to the mod creator on their workshop page.
  11. In that case, try setting the game to Windowed mode and lower all the other settings. Then check if the issue persists in this mode.
  12. Yeah I can only see a lot of mod texture errors here. I could recommend backing up the save first and then trying to remove mods from it to see if removing some of them lets it load.
  13. Maps are saved on each client, if the IP and Username to the server is the same, then the map will save across servers, once the IP or username changes, the map will be different. Players can choose to forget the map by pressing the X button on the bottom right corner of the map.
  14. Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -cachedir=C:\Zomboid > Start the game
  15. Do you perhaps have any external devices connected to the Mac? Or do you use any sort of Dock for it?
  16. Make sure that your game Display is set to "Fullscreen", because Borderless mode will always scale up the resolution to the max. GUI updates will come in future versions.
  17. Your PC does not fulfill the minimum game requirements. I can only recommend switching to the older "Legacy" game versions by going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Betas > Select the Legacy 40 or older versions.
  18. Looks like Ubuntu uses Mesa 23.2.1 while Debian is still on 22.3.6 I can only recommend finding a way to update it or waiting until the Mesa package updates on Debian to the later version.
  19. Did it stop happening after removing the mods?
  20. Try going to the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid folder and edit the options.ini file. In that file, edit the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false Then try launching the game again.
  21. Good to know, can you share the logs from it? It is likely that Ubuntu would have a more recent Mesa version, which might fix whatever issue is being caused by the older Debian one, if it does have a more recent update.
  22. Do you use Xorg or Wayland on your install? And do you only have Debian or have you tested other Distros? I have mainly tested Arch, Ubuntu, Fedora and Linux Mint as the most common ones, but not Debian.
  23. The last log has a ton of mod errors still: function: ApplyRecoil -- file: GunFighter_02Function.lua line # 6324 | MOD: Arsenal(26) GunFighter [MAIN MOD 2.0] And before that the log shows some unusual vehicle spawning issues. I would recommend doing a full game reinstall and then starting a new game.
  24. There is something unusual in the log, as it lists a Nvidia card as well, do you have any Nvidia cards on this PC?
  25. You should be able to use the other cars to bump into the floating car, or spawn a van for better reach, this way you can get it down on the ground and delete it.
