  1. I copied all the files to my server folder and loaded the server through the Host menu, it loaded the Spawn points just fine. Or are you perhaps starting a Dedicated server and not going through the Host menu? Do you perhaps have any other server settings in the Zomboid/Server folder? Lastly, I may just recommend trying to verify your game files first as well, since it loaded correctly for me. Steam Library > Right-click Project Zomboid > Properties > Local Files > Verify Local Files
  2. I assume this is your post then? https://steamcommunity.com/app/108600/discussions/1/6790907198739664020/

    Server crash

It still shows a ton of mods loading. I recommend you create a new server with just the default server settings, do not add any mods there and then try starting it. This would confirm if the issue happens due to mods or without them as well.
  4. Can you instead share the whole "Server" folder from the "Zomboid" folder so I can check all of the settings? Also the latest "server-console.txt" file from the Zomboid folder would be useful as well.

    Server crash

Looks to be some sort of issue with the "aegis_narc" folder, which is not a vanilla game folder. If you have issues with mods, try disabling them one by one or in batches to figure out which specific mod is causing the problems. Do it on a new save to prevent any issues on your current playthrough, as removing mods can cause items to be permanently deleted.
  6. What happens when you remove the Kingsmouth map?
  7. If you mean by "when attempting to start our main my" that you are just starting the server, high CPU usage is normal, since the server has to load all the scripts and everything it needs while it is starting.
  8. It looks like there are a ton of mod errors, are you the one hosting the server? Are you able to load into a server without any mods?
  9. These look like the server logs right? And there is no issue with the server based on your description, and the logs confirm that. You need to share your client "console" log if your game itself is freezing.
  10. I can only recommend reporting mod specific issues to the mod creators themselves.
  11. Your friends would need to use the 73.4.24.40 IP in the IP tab, as that is your public IP. Then the Local IP tab should be empty, since they are not on your local network, so it is not necessary. The rest looks fine in the screenshot.
  12. Thanks, from what I can tell the server itself is correctly set up, meaning the issue may be with the network configuration itself. Do you perhaps have any firewall on your server machine that may be blocking the server? Both 16261 and 16262 UDP ports need to be opened, not TCP as is default usually. Additionally, if your second PC is a windows machine, you may need to make sure that your network is set as "pritvate" instead of "public", since that would prevent connection to local PCs https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/73866/how-to-change-network-settings-from-public-to-priv Lastly, I would for now recommend testing the connection by just filling out the Local IP of the server to the "IP" tab, while keeping the Local IP tab empty, since this would try to connect you directly through the local network to the server.
  13. Can you share the "Server" and "Logs" folders found in Home/Zomboid folder where you host the server on? Additionally, can you share a screenshot on how you filled out the server info when trying to connect to it?
  14. I would recommend creating your own thread with your own image of the console window as the original poster did, since your issue may be very different. These tips are also a year old at this point and may not apply to your situation.
  15. There do seem to be some game errors in the log, in this case I would recommend doing a full reinstall. First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there. After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
  16. Follow the path as shown in the screenshot to your game folder / media folder. Delete the "scripts" folder in that path. Then verify your game files: Steam Library > Right-click Project Zomboid > Properties > Local Files > Verify Local Files Have your friend do the same thing, then it should work fine.
  17. Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  18. The err_pid file is located in your main game folder, severs have their own files that do not include any crashes that the players on the server may experience.
  19. It seems like it just has a generic crash, meaning there isn't really anything to go on, we would only need to do testing to find the exact cause. You mentioned this only happens when you play on a specific server?, Has it happened on any other servers? Or when playing singleplayer? Does it happen totally randomly or within a certain timeframe?
  20. Alright, you would need to use the "nosteam_startserver" file if you want to run non steam servers. Because if you run a Steam server, then non steam users will have the error that you are getting.
  21. That may make things more difficult. In the case that the file does not exist, can you share a screenshot of the Technical Details of the crash in the Reliability monitor? Here are some good guides for it: https://www.howtogeek.com/school/using-windows-admin-tools-like-a-pro/lesson3/ https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/sk-sk/000178177/how-to-use-windows-reliability-monitor-to-identify-software-issues
  22. Are you sure you bough the game from Steam?
  23. These seem to be the logs from the server, correct? Are you hosting the server on a different PC than the one you are playing from? Can you share the logs from the PC that you are connecting from as well? Since these sever logs look totally fine at the moment.
  24. It looks like as if there would be some missing files which cause it to fail. In which case, can you try doing a full game reinstall? First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there. After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
  25. That would be unlikely, since the main important file would be "hs_err_pid" which gets removed at uninstall. If it does happen again then just send the same requested files and we can have a look.
