  1. does anyone else notice a certain choppiness now to the game when traveling between areas (as if a new portion of the map was loading), or when a lot of zombies or corpses are on the screen? I just lost a good character due to this lag of a large zombie horde that had gathered to one area after an alarm went off

    Reusable Jars

Yeah, I saw the debate about the jar lids in another thread. I'll have to confess I don't know the first thing about canning in real life, but I think it's important to be able to suspend our disbeliefs sometimes when it comes to video games - I'm not sure how realistic it is to be able to kill zombies with a butter knife or climb a rope to a second story window with a backpack full of canned food, either. As for this mod, I've tried to make sure it's not TOO overpowered - I'm testing right now - cleared almost half of the homes in Muldraugh and I've only found one of my jars so far on normal loot settings. If anyone else is currently using this mod I'd be interested in feedback on whether the jars are too common or too rare.
  3. I've spent about 200 hours playing this game and in the entire time I've only seen one jar lid. Maybe I'm just unlucky but it makes me wonder if anyone has ever successfully made a jar of leeks or eggplants. I'm probably not qualified to make an argument against their current rarity based on a game balancing perspective (my longest time survived was about 2 months) but damn if it's just no fun that I'll probably never be able to use jars and that the majority of my farming effort will get thrown away. So, I made a thing:

    Reusable Jars

http://pz-mods.net/weapons-items/ReusableJars/ This mod creates a new item - an "Empty Jar with Lid" that can be reused. The jar and lid are treated as one single item and it will be returned to you after it's emptied, so that you can use it over and over again. The game's original jars and lids still exist, but this item will spawn in home kitchens, although it is moderately rare. Please note, this will only work with the default canning foods - carrots, potatoes, etc. If you have a mod that allows you to can meat or anything else, this jar won't work for those recipes.
  5. There seems to be a bug with the new digital watches that spawn on zombies. Sometimes a dead zombie with a watch will have the alarm already set, when the alarm goes off it will make the alarm noise. Picking up the watch and resetting the alarm will not make the noise go away. If you pick up the watch and move it somewhere else, the noise will continue at the spot where the zombie died. If you move the corpse, the noise will continue at the spot where the zombie died. Nothing you can do in game seems to make that noise go away, if you leave the area and return the noise will play again. As you can imagine it's super annoying, especially if the watch is near your safehouse I don't know if it's significant or not but both times this happened to me were at the spot with the 2 picnic tables just east of the large warehouse on the north end of Muldraugh. I managed to make the noise go away by removing the AlarmSound event from the digital watch entry in the newitems.txt file. This means you can't hear the watch alarm, but I assume the zombies will. So until it's fixed, this is a temporary solution if this happens to you and the watch alarm noise is making you crazy Also this is my first post, enjoying the game immensely so far. Great job!
