Is there a way to restrict reload difficulty to a set mode on a server?

Where do you edit the code for how the pistol and pistol magazine work? My plan is to copy that code to make my own custom weapons. I know I can create and edit my own scripts in /media/scripts, but I would like to manipulate how the pistol reloads ammo and magazines?
