Wow, everything so far sounds absolutely amazing! Build 42 will truly be epic if you can do all that. I was sad when Blacksmithing was canned, it's good to see we're getting a proper full tech tree! I am 100% on board with it, go for it! :3
I also hope and kindly request that build 43 has tameable foxes. :3

Yeah I have my base there too, all the forest areas should be foragable.

I agree children would be a good thing to go for, especially once NPCs are out. However I believe this is mod territory if the devs don't want to do this.
We do need a "Woohoo" mod first though.
Getting hampered by a pregnancy trait that gets worse for 9 months is also a challenge in itself.

It takes a while for the water to get rid of pollutants. Even now IRL in many countries you cannot just drink rainwater, it is dangerous. A cool mechanic would be if after a year or so the drinking water was no longer tainted.
Also while we're at it: Please let snow fill rain barrels.
The caveat is, that you need to warm it up for it to turn into water.

If they don't: Then yeah it should absolutely be changed so they protect you from corpse diseases.

I wish more mods would be integrated into the main game, and this is definitely one that should be. This mod sounds absolutely awesome!

I wish you could pick up railway tracks, It would be cool to make your own railway somewhere.
They're big but it isn't the first big thing you can pick up.
Also most new objects in Louisville cannot be picked up like the military crates, fountains and such.
Here's hoping for more pickable objects...And yes, doors would be nice!

You can't expect sound designers to finish MP faster, that's not how it works!
I for one love and appreciate the new sound effects big time! I am also waiting for multiplayer but I'm not gonna bitch when we get cool new content. I am excited to hear what snow sounds like.
The animals are also great!
Are Foxes are one of the mammals?
I really hope tameable foxes will be available when animals come out properly someday.

B41 is the most important update so far and a real opportunity to break the game into the mainstream and if we don't land it right it would be devastating. As explained in the Thursdoid.
Why not have a testing branch for early multiplayer then? If IWBUMS is now regarded as a "Beta" branch then having an "Alpha" branch could be the solution. It'll allow testing while making it clear to people this isn't even a beta or IWBUMS. I mean this is what you did with cars.

Thank you for the update, do not worry, good things take time!
How is that epic computer DOS system thing going? Honestly that was one of the coolest things ever even if it's not slated for 41.
And great to finally see Louisville! I wonder how Louisville will be handled lorewise...
At the start of the infection it should be uninfected and outside the quarantine zone, will it be blocked off?

1. This is a big one... I don't get why the devs are so much against silencers if it's balanced properly. Weapon mods are already rare, silencers would be rare too, and simply make a weapon with silencers break much faster than one without. That means a weapon with silencers can only be used sparingly...And finally, silencers don't actually silence the sound, they suppress it, meaning it's still pretty loud and would attract nearby Zeds, just not the entire town.

3. Perhaps through metalworking, I approve of this.
4. Agreed. Also pets you can keep in your home would be nice too, I especially want a Fox!

During those days you had video rental stores. Perhaps video tapes can be collected in such stores? While VCRs have to be acquired at a video store and can rarely be found with a TV.
Finally: What about the Video game consoles? You find cute handheld consoles, giving functionality to those would be nice!

I agree with this, I used to believe false positives were possible and that you can survive even if you're anxious if you eat enough.
But nope, anxious always means death...
