  1. I am running Win7 64. I just reinstalled both versions of Java using the offline installer. Will edit this post with results. Okay, ran the game as soon as I finished installing the offline packages (do I need to set up file pathing?) I got a longer err64 document, with even more errors than the last, hopefully it's more of a help to you. The game ran in 64 bit mode using the command prompt. Tried again java.nio.BufferOverflowExceptionat java.nio.DirectByteBuffer.put(Unknown Source)at com.evildevil.engines.bubble.texture.DDSLoader.readFileData(DDSLoader.java:203)at com.evildevil.engines.bubble.texture.DDSLoader.loadDDSFile(DDSLoader.java:104)at zombie.core.textures.ImageData.<init>(ImageData.java:321)at zombie.core.textures.TextureID.<init>(TextureID.java:175)at zombie.core.textures.Texture.<init>(Texture.java:147)at zombie.core.textures.TexturePackPage.loadFromPackFileDDS(TexturePackPage.java:465)at zombie.GameWindow.LoadTexturePackDDS(GameWindow.java:1450)at zombie.GameWindow.run(GameWindow.java:1057)at zombie.GameWindow.maina(GameWindow.java:943)at zombie.gameStates.MainScreenState.main(MainScreenState.java:112)at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)at com.exe4j.runtime.LauncherEngine.launch(Unknown Source)at com.exe4j.runtime.WinLauncher.main(Unknown Source)java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap spaceat zombie.iso.IsoCell.clearCacheGridSquare(IsoCell.java:3747)at zombie.iso.IsoChunkMap.ProcessChunkPos(IsoChunkMap.java:837)at zombie.gameStates.IngameState.update(IngameState.java:931)at zombie.gameStates.GameStateMachine.update(GameStateMachine.java:87)at zombie.GameWindow.logic(GameWindow.java:652)at zombie.GameWindow.run(GameWindow.java:1111)at zombie.GameWindow.maina(GameWindow.java:943)at zombie.gameStates.MainScreenState.main(MainScreenState.java:112)at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)at com.exe4j.runtime.LauncherEngine.launch(Unknown Source)at com.exe4j.runtime.WinLauncher.main(Unknown Source)AL lib: (EE) alc_cleanup: 1 device not closed
  2. I followed Enigma's instructions Spoiler http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/2505-released-04th-nov-2013-version-29917-0010/page-7#entry38360 and that's all my err64.txt contains. The command prompt closed itself with the game.
  3. This was what was spat out into my err64.txt file when my game crashed. I stayed in the game until it closed, and right at the end the game music starting playing again, and then terminated itself. Like I mentioned previously, last time I played and it crashed, I noticed the CPU usage go up to 94%, then dropped to 28% and crashed. Obviously there's something wrong. If you have any other ideas of what I can do to help you guys, please let me know, since the above tidbit isn't what you're looking for.
  4. Man... This is really starting to irk me now. Just spent an hour on a single character, and my game crashed after a zombie broke through a window. Nothing came up in the console, but the CPU usage skyrocketed to 94%, then quickly fell to 28% and crashed. Help me help you. I want to be able to recommend this game to my friends and not to tell them of all the game breaking bugs it has. I want to be able to play it myself without something going awry. https://mega.co.nz/#!xQplET7L!Ehp7C3R2-TtvqMuAwVykESc_XDUeRLXqE_gYSZDYwmA Here's my dxdiag. If you need information, drop a line... And before anyone says it, I know this is a development build that is supposed to be for bug squashing. Well Oct 31's build was unplayable, I reported my findings in that thread. And this build is unplayable for the most part. But even for a development build, it shouldn't be this bad.
  5. Desura uses an old, but stable build of the game, and won't be updated until the next stable build is released. To get alpha updates such as the one in this thread, activate your PZ key on Steam and follow the steps on the first post of this thread. Is PZ in your Steam library as a Steam game? (as opposed to a non-Steam game) If so, you do not need your Steam key from Desura, as the game key is already tied to your Steam account. If you were running it as a non-Steam game and it's not a part of your Steam account, go to http://www.desura.com/games/project-zomboid/keys and it will spit you out your Steam key if you're logged into Desura. Then you take that key to Steam and redeem it. Very top of Steam > Games > Activate a product on Steam > input that code you just got
  6. 1. Noticed a few objects were unclickable, trash cans, a few cabinets next to sinks 2. http://i.imgur.com/JNJpamC.jpg That house with the open doors has an inaccessible bedroom, can only get in through a window (the supervisor overseeing this house's construction should be fired)
  7. Don't have a chance to play it yet, but does it fix the crashing bug? http://pastebin.com/V4gHW4Pa
  8. Is this the same hotfix that was released last night that fixed the right clicking issue? Or was there another one released today? My downloads section said there was a download at like 3pm CST, but was 0kb. Restarted steam and nothing. What did the update address?
  9. The beta build is just that. It's a beta build for an alpha game. It will be prone to bugs. If you want stable gameplay, download it off Desura, that is the most stable build there is.
  10. This was addressed last night with a very small hotfix update, which should have been downloaded if you use Steam. Make sure you're still on the beta build.
  11. Another bug I found When looting from a world object, the items loot window will disappear, forcing you to click the object every time you want to loot something
  12. Okay so I guess this issue is only happening on full screen. I tried 1920x1080 windowed and was able to go a long distance. Then tried 1920x1080 in fullscreen and had a huge stutter, lasting about 10 seconds, which I thought was it crapping out. But it came back to life, and this http://pastebin.com/kEiscdFx was spit out. I'll keep trying until I get another hard crash. Oh also I couldn't load any more of the map besides the chunk I was in after this happened http://imgur.com/a/zyKqq#0 Made another map and got the same results as above. Maybe when it was crashing the first few times, it was just doing the same thing as in the pastebin, but I immediately took it as a crash and opened Task manager. http://pastebin.com/V4gHW4Pa Heres from the second 10 second stutter and recovery. Chunks wouldn't load after this happened. Only the chunks that were already loaded were accessible I've been on IRC, the forums and playing the game all day, I'm going to sleep now. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to pm/email me.
  13. I've had an issue on 4 different world saves that I created since this update hit. My game eventually crashes after I run away from spawn a good distance. This has happened on 4/5 tries, the last one I was recording with OBS, and I was able to run for 5 minutes without any issues. But other runs lasted only a minute or two before crashing. Crash happened on both 64 and 32 bit If you need any more details, feel free to email/pm me. My dxdiag can be found in an earlier post I made
  14. Found another minor bug 1. When accessing the option menu while a game is currently in session, the drop down menu appears and disappears very quickly. 2. Character does not face a window when you open/close it from the context menu Accessing the option menu from the title screen stays there until you choose a resolution
