  1. I'M RIGHT ON SOMETHING ABOUT WEAPONS ! *dance* Ima order my first AR-15 now, do they have fast deliver to France ? Fyi : Still struggle with the rifle(s?) to add, a .22 or a .223, and maybe a .308 Got different point of view, all saying something else, soo.... But I think I'll also go for some weapon upgrades (different scope, butt/recoil pad, maybe larger clip for the gun...), make it fully moddable so anyone could add the silencer mod (which I won't, according to the gunslinger, silencer are very rare down there) That sounds amazing if we could use attachment. Also I think the .22 would be the better choice than the .223. Many people own a ruger 10/22 due to cheap (well before obama) ammo cost. That would be my primary casual zed hunting rifle. Only a headshot would do anything though.
  2. Shotguns chop people in half? No. No they don't, unless you named a chainsaw "Shotgun." Your gun experience sounds like its a mixture of call of duty and hear-say from a grandparent. 9mm FMJ rounds are going for 21 cents a round, intermediate rounds (.223/x39) are .19-41 cents a round, your larger .308/x54 are .20-.45 cents around. Any soft point round (hunting round) will obviously be more but 90% of the ammo people ARE buying are the cheap FMJ/target cheap rounds, I don't understand any of your logic. Of course I did not mean a literal chop in half nor am I getting my experience from "call of duty or a grandparent (don't have any alive)" nor do I know what you are referring to in that sense. I have seen some major wounds inflicted by shotgun at close range to the torso which is why I said that (good friend is an officer who worked a case in which a robber busted into a store, chased the clerk into the backroom and was met with a point blank shotgun blast). Not sure if you are talking to me about the prices since I don't see what it has to do with anything about what I said except for the ammo types which I was referring to shotguns mainly.
  3. I would still have bullets pierce, that's how it happens in real life. As long as the angle is where the bullet or pellets line up. My 80 year old rifle can go through a modern Kevlar helmet, out the back and into another. Imagine how easy it would be able to pierce rotting flesh of a zombie. Shotguns at close range nearly chop people in half so maybe range dependent penetration. 9 mm pistol, unless it's hollow point still penetrates unless it hits something major (granted would penetrates less due to slower speed after exiting the first body). Also is the possibility of different ammo types possible, thinking mainly for shotgun (pellets, slugs) so there is a close and long range option. Also .22 rifles are very common and most gun owners have at least one. Only hunters generally have bolt actions (unless it's an old one) due to the higher cost of gun and ammo. Just my input as a gun owner. Can't wait for the changes! Keep up the good work
  4. Some do not work yet like starting time, possibly the weather related ones, starting month might be bugged still, not sure honestly.
  5. Looking forward to bug testing some more, hopefully some of the random crashes got fixed so I can play for more than 5 mins =). Thanks for the hard work guys.
  6. Wouldn't newspapers be useless pretty quick?
  7. Indeed mate, would be nice but I can see how hard it would be to implement in the game, I would be plenty happy with options
  8. A pro athlete could likely survive indefinitely off a 1,000 calorie diet. He might not have the energy to keep being a pro athlete, but he'd live just fine. Like I said, people (especially Americans, sadly) have a very skewed idea about the whole concept of Caloric intake and it's affects on the human physique, which is largely due to misinformation propagated by the FDA. What I meant was not a pro athlete post-apoc but rather while he is being active in a normal day setting =). (Someone who runs 10 miles a day or trains for hours on end plus what ever else they do can't do much on 1000 calories without issues). I'm sure post-apoc, pro athletes could adapt just fine and probably better than most people. Sorry had to clarify.
  9. Arma though, has really been a community game and only got very popular after the creation of dayz. I think with modding, the community will help this out quite a lot. It's a simulator and they aren't for the average gamer. ATM, my biggest disappointment is the BF4 PC release, server crashes, bugs, and glitches galore. Hope it's fixed soon, like playing it with my brother across the country.
  10. Excellent!! I can't wait to finally set up shop again!
  11. Good news, maybe we will see it in the coming year =)
  12. Back to the OP since this is turning into a health debate . Is there no reason why we, the users, can't have an option in sandbox that was can adjust to our liking at some point in development. I mean if someone wants to set the day time to a longer span, and they want to be looking for food all the time and build a massive farm, good for them. Need Options: Food Amount - Low, Normal, High, Realistic Water Amount - " " But sense it's happening, I think 2,000 calorie was a number made for the average somewhat active person. Like someone else posted, in reality it should be based on your activities which would be harder to implement. If you are a pro athlete, you can't survive off 1000 calories. Likewise, if you spend the day in PZ doing very laborious activities, you would be burning more calories and getting more hungry than sleeping all day. Whether or not that was implement I wouldn't care. I still think it would be nice to have a sandbox option sometime in development though =).
  13. I'm assuming there is still some tweaking needing to be done. Could be a density tweak, zombie spawning tweak, etc etc.
  14. I'll have my dinosaurs right after my dragons please! Other than the fact you have other senses that help locate. If everyone has bad BO in a room except one person. You can if you are near them can't you? (Rotting flesh would be an even easier job) Also, out of curiosity, is PZ Zombie infection blood born or blood/saliva. Because I know someone said earlier that getting stuff in your mouth is good as infected but if it was blood born, that is not true for the same reason you can't get HIV/AIDS by kissing a person with HIV/AIDS. Granted if you had a cut in your mouth it might be different. Also, in the Walking Dead, didn't they use like rubber clothing and boots to put all the stuff on so it never touched their skin or actual clothes... Anyway, whether this would be a cool idea or not is completely based on the PZ Zombie infection lore, I'd be fine either way.
