There'll be like... one Spiffo zed max on the whole map, with the outfit discovered only in Spiffos. Currently it's a random spawn.

Will the special, legendary spiffo zed drop special items?

I have been playing this game since the very first demo ... which must have been 8 years ago or more now.. almost a decade. And I played the hell out of it at first thinking it would only get better, thinking they would be improving on that little charming map and world they first showed us..

But since the game has not added almost any of the features that it said it would have that got me excited like NPCs, Quests, Dynamic wounds like cauterizing and amputations, Human enemies, Diseases, Sanity. It was shaping up to be an amazing little girl but i feel like the game has only gotten uglier since the old days of wife smothering...

The graphics have been downgraded from the charming pixel art it had, the wordl feels empty and unchanging and prone to glitching or exploitation. Every year that crawls by i see almost no changes in the development.. No closer to the game they promised.  It feels like the game has been abandoned.
It just gets uglier and buggier with every year with no end in sight. Why they didnt build on that initial framework i do not know. But can somebody please tell me what the state of this game is.

I consider the car update to be the biggest update yet. We should praise them for the car update.
The second contender being the graphics update. They're slow with development, but they're just an indie developer team. We can't expect huge monthly patches.
The map expansions felt SUPER refreshing too.

  3. Cold definitely needs more downsides..
I wouldn't mind risking catching a cold or a fever/ the flu even. There's no reason not to run the prone to illness perk.

  4. Immunity to infection would be nice. Of course, only in sandbox.
I'd tune their damage up to super human levels so i can go for a more fast paced game mode instead of the safe and slow prevention of bites.
Medical skills/items and endurance perks would be more interesting in this mode too.

  5. I'd personally LOVE a themepark. Imagine the possibilities....
Imagine what furniture we could take back home. Imagine how well we could reinforce said theme park..
Imagine what sort of crazy bases we could create at said theme park.

  6. A whole bunch of zombies spawned inside one of the buildings in my base.

EDIT: Considering how closets are now filled with canned food and boxes of shotgun ammo, chances are that the game thought it was an overwhelmed survivor base.

Hey Patrick, could I get a better description of what's happening here? Maybe a daylight shot too if you're playing?

You're inside the house, but external attached walls are still visible?

The legs of my character are blocked by the fences i'm talking about.
    Svarog described it perfectly.

    @Batsphinx

What Patrick H is describing is actually fairly easy to reproduce with every single building in the game. Just destroy it and what will be left is a bunch of visibility issues because of the way the game handles whether or not a "room" is visible.

In most buildings you can enter the kitchen and every other room blacks out if you're not looking at it. Having an entire building, all of it's walls destroyed and looking at it from outside is problematic.

The video should show what I mean, I have the debug stuff on the left so you can see how the room def changes and what effect it has on visibility of surrounding world.

Good find. I didn't look at it that way.

Ah okay, well then maybe it's a Mash thing. It's a good thing to notice in any case.

    A man needs his toilets.

Oh, no i actually destroyed the toilet myself.
The black spot is just a leftover i cant get rid of.
I should add that i did not forget to also remove the toilet's ''rooftop''

Okay cool - maybe ChrisW's system doesn't like one-tile 'buildings' too much. Good catch!

I've had this spot for a while actually, i thought the bug was too rare to mention.
I don't think it has anything to do with ChrisW's system.

I don't know that area of the map too well.

Is it a player-constructed toilet, or on the existing map?

How many tiles did it occupy?

Can you walk through where it used to be? Is it invisible, or just gone?

And yes, i can walk through it. It seems to light up a little when i look at it's direction, but it's still darker than normal.
