    some real old work i found when i first started with the idea of making a game. over the last 2 years i learnt a whole lot and got much better at stuff but looking back at this just warms my heart up. i love the aesthatic i created with the figures, it looks very satisfying to me. its so clean idk how to describe it.

     

    second is a burning animation and burnt corpse

     

    third is part of something i made to keep cool skies, colors and shading that id see in real life in mind by redrawing the sky and applying the sun + shadow lighting (and strength) how i remembered it the very hour or day that id see them. for example overcast afternoons with a lil bit of sun peeking out giving some warm lil spots of sunlight were something i really liked back then and i did this to remember what i liked and how it looked like it helps a lot with short term memory

    thanks im trying to make my own map (for the third time :() now although ill also include these in my USA map if I ever get around doing so. just a matter of figuring out tilezed now

    thanks :) if u mean the barn its just a barn theyre used to store farm stuff not to live inside, if u mean one of the cabins yes most of them will have outhouses haha its mainly cause i wanna keep the roofing and everything all round aesthatic and easily accessable and lootable so sometimes special rooms dont fit in and i find other ways to include those

    its exactly what i planned for my map it was an accurate country recreation and i wanted to map out decidious and pine forests accurately to the climate and terrain theyre in and i was told that that doesnt work cause if youre gonna do that color thing for the veg map its gonna work inside of tilezed, but when u export it into the game the erosion systems that are in the game itself (such as vines growing on walls, streets cracking up plants growing etc) will completely take over everything you did in the veg map and randomize it to the current kentucky nature in the original map :( 

     

    i never tried it out i was just told this by one of the developers, maybe you can find out what the tree codes are and make your own color and see if it works or bypasses erosion. if it does please tell

     

    as for starting theres a file in the map tools folder i think in tiles called rules.txt, if i remember correctly that was the one that had the color codes and corresponding tiles in it. it worked with a code for each tree something like 10_4 for a certain type of pine tree tile, and i never got to figure out what these codes are for the other trees. i searched all over tile definitions and such and didnt find a code for em sadly but maybe i just didnt look correctly. dont let any of this turn you off from doing what youre trying to do but make sure to backup your current map files before u try anything new.

    i asked about this before and one of the devs said that you cant do it because of how the erosion system works, it takes all the nature ur placed and basically randomizes it to the erosion system. he was more indepth about it but i cant find his post so this is the short version of it 

     

    something about this map standing out from all the others, its really breathtaking. great work seriously!!!

    thanks a lot i got some facial expressions such as shocked for when you see a corpse or encounter a slasher or happy when you smoke weed and interact with friends, this is like the indifferent emotion currently when u got nothing to do so i guess bored fits perfectly

    buuuut sadly as far as i know you cant edit sounds right now, i tried changing the music and sounds on level up and it didnt work i think well have to wait for mod tools

    spent an hour on this and im finally done shes modular and switches to several clothing types and hairstyles and now im working on white, black and asian ethnicities too this ones latina but i think it can also easily pass off as arab

    i like the style i got with this the most as its the minimalist kinda cartoony realistic pixel style im aiming for and im glad i got all the joints done well such as the knees and elbows bending perfectly

    this is the result of hourrssss of dedicated work and im so happy and proud it paid off imo

    any opinions or criticisms?

    I figure its the same reason gta online doesnt have any character voices not even any grunts on damage. in a game like this its important to have the player represent themselves and having a predone voice would break that immersion into being yourself I guess, kinda like how Fallout 4 recieved a ton of hate for its dialogue

     

  11. been working on a slasher game series lately learning the ropes with construct 2. did a lot of cool shit within like an hour with barely 2 guides and i basically got a fully working prototype that i may show here later (counts as creativity here right?)

    a mockup i drew of the animation of a guys face when a girl counselor flashes her jewels to him

    animation goes like this he has the first face, then two hands float up from heaven and they open his dome up like a car hood, then put the overheated brain out and put that blood bag in, then they close it back down and u just see the two counselors entering the nearest cabin and the guy just floats behind the girl like in the cartoons when they smell something somewhere and you wont see them leave the cabin for like 5 minutes
