  1. ohhhh, i had no furniture selected x)... i feel stupid now thank you for the helpful answer
  2. I have it on, but it still doesn't work
  3. So few hours / days before I could still use the furniture tool in BuildEd, but since the newest project / building I started the Furniture button is greyed out. Since then I can't place anymore furniture. Even the older projects I have where I placed alot of furniture have the button blocked / greyed out now. I can't seem to figure how to fix that, and haven't found anything in the help (mapping) forums.
  4. I know it's still in alpha, but just wanted to make sure you should make the streets / every tile in the world (and roof) get snow when in winter. Doesnt make sense to have non-snowy streets (unless the zombies are still doing their jobs and know how to drive snowplows )
  5. I LOVE the US version of the ARMA 2 Fire station. Seriously, great work, be proud of that The small house is nice too, although I think it wouldve been nicer if there were smaller / lower roofs, but thats none of your faults anyway so nice work at that aswell.
  6. 1, Zombies and zombie hunters (you can never get enough of those) 2, Soldiers (modern) 3, Normal People (you can never get enough of those, either.) 4, Romans 5, Orcs 6, Soldiers WW2 (its been done to death and theres probably more of those than there are zombies and zombie hunters)
  7. Right now, you basically walk around and click on zombies killing them or pushing them away. I've been thinking some more immersive / stylish kill moves would be cool, like when you use the kitchen knife, your player rams the knife up their chins. I don't want to talk to much about this so this would be my idea: I think this shouldnt be for all weapons if youre gonna implement it. Only the one hit kill ones, like the fire axe, and later in maybe an katana or machete. On humans it would be the modded baseball bats, the fire axe, if you add it in the machete etc anything bladed that would do an instakill.
  8. ...Police Chief John Wayne Gacy?...
  9. The Last of Us definitely deserves a mod imo. It's the ONLY game in my life that I am still actively playing (Singleplayer as well as Factions) and a PZ mod for it would make my free time even more awesome. What I'd hope would be a last of us styled fighting system. Punching humans with fists results in the guy getting knocked back, against the wall, head kicked in etc... Would be hard to impossible to do, but it would be awesome to have that! I think the infected would be a big task though. Right now, the fast shamblers option gives zombies of varying behavior, walk style, speed... You'd need a bloater being a tad bigger than a normal human to not look stupid and make him slow in idle and fast shamble-speed in agro mode. And the clickers? Normal shambler / fast shambler / sprinter behavior wouldn't cut it. You would need their normal actual behavior, twitching with the arms, looking completely wreck'd, running around in a crippled-ish way etc. I think it would be a giant task. Youd need to mix every single speed option in the game together into that one survival mode, make special zombies be special (i dont know how anyones going to do that) and put the correct "criterias" or so to them, like the stalkers and bloaters being in dark places / buildings like warehouses. Just my opinions / stuff here. Note that im assuming for the most parts, Im not a good scripter / coder / modder (im only good in texture and model modding).
  10. Somewhere I read, that being burned alive feels like, I quote "A thousand cheese graters slowly grinding onto all of your nerves". Just thought I'd throw it in here... And yet I still love molotovs and anything that can launch fire onto stuff (in other words, thousand yes's to incendiary ammo)
  11. And what will they add to the game? Will they bring happiness (raised mood - less likely for depression)? Will they help grow food and kill zombies? Will they do stupid things like shoot a gun when there is a horde nearby and only a couple of zombies that are a real threat? Will they panic and run or panic and stand still and get eaten? Will they follow orders? They are more mouths to feed. If you choose to group with NPCs will they help your survivability or will they just eat all the food and you all starve? I could see cooking becoming even more useful. Will there be more recipes like a pot of soup that create four servings instead of just one? I think you will need more. How big of a group could be sustainable? Will they join you or do you join them? Part of me is reluctant to start another game because I don't want to make great progress only to have NPCs added and then I will feel obligated to start again from the beginning. I am also cautiously optimistic about NPCs although it worries me a little that they were in the game and now they are not. I think they will add to the game but only time will tell. They will be realistic so just think of basic human psychology. Some will be very useful, others a deathtrap. In a mondoid from like 10 months ago if I'm correct, they said they will try to make the NPC's and the Metagame make sandbox mode feel like a full story. They'd be far away from that point, but they do already have some interesting things. I know that they said you could get betrayed in the way that in scavenging runs, one of your group members could kill you or wound you so bad youd be so slow and get killed by the horde, and then later back at base say that the zombies got you and that he tried to help you. I thought sandbox lets you change how many survivors you want? Like zombie distribution. Sorry, I dont really get this. Correct me if Im wrong.

I think it should be added after gore / dismemberment if they implement it. It would be weird to see zombies without limbs attack you while you can even hack the finger off a "normal" one with whatever slicing tool you might use.
  13. Sometimes, I like to call them mashed potatoes. Reason is because they're so stupid and slow, you'd think they'd have potatoes instead of brains. But no, they're even too stupid for potatoes - So it's mashed potatoes instead of their brains. And when I'm actually normal, I just call them Zombies, Zahmbies, Brainless's and The Challenged.
  14. Thanks for the tool man been waiting a year for something like that So when we can mod the characters (I hope) I can finally make the gore mods i always wanted to do
  15. With my post, I meant the way zombies behave. I believe with "like the walking dead" he just meant how the zombies and infection system works. Theres fast shamblers and the "everyone's infected" option, so he / she could've pretty much a walking dead style experience, plus the fact that the muldraugh and west point map here isnt TOO different from walking dead's georgia - It includes wilderness, farmland and cities.
  16. I got that nice row of big buildings with garages in west point, near the elementary that is near the police station and apartments and robomat's dentistry. Gonna fortify that place since its already semi-fenced it'll be easy, then have some guards (2 in each side) cover it, one with shotgun the other with a handgun, another 2 would be scavenging for supplies, 3 would be farming and barricadin, and I'd be sittin' on the top of the roof watching my minions work in the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter, while maniacally laughing for not a single reason while my empire builds up. Then, when everything is done, or someone asks me if he / she can get a drink, Ill take out my shotgun, murder all of them, take their supplies, get another group of npcs with me, head to the farm and live a happy life there .
  17. OCH! Spiffo is so cute :3 I often leave open the how to survive window just to look at spiffo every now and then and forget about all the apocalypse stuff around me :3
  18. Ahh yes, ZSpawn, the first ever 2.9 mod I used. Brings back the memories. Nice one man, thanks for the mod
  19. Why didnt you just watch the 2nd video on the steam page with ringod explaining it? He even mentioned that in sandbox mode you could put the settings like that in the walking dead as an example. Buy the game, its worth the money. Try the demo first, though.
  20. I remember how it all was back when I joined, 2011. Seeing what you managed to do with your community and game from there to now, I can really see you give alot of... stuff, for your community. Thank you for this awesome game and having the best community ever where the devs and mods communicate and state opinions and have great discussions (instead of the usual "I like that!" "I dont like that!" "Die in a car crash!" stuffs) and what not. Sorry, rather tired and such (and waiting alot for the steam release ) so this might not be the best thank you letter or something here but i tried
  21. [sarcasm]But, yes! Now weve got it! Killing isnt a bad thing, you can kill a million survivors and zombies and not blink a single time! Whats really bad, and the thing that turns people into mass murdering psychopaths is nudity! War veterans have ptsd for a reason, they probably saw too many nude girls Better go back to killing people and delete porn off the web, afterall I wanna stay nice and not become a terrorist or something. Im totally fine with smashing survivors and zombies alikes brains in, sometimes just for the lulz. Atleast its not as bad as seeing a pair of heavily pixelated 32x32 breasts. Ofcourse! [/sarcasm] Really now, here in germany you usually see alot, a WHOLE LOT of nudity in news tv and what not at like 12pm and 15 -16 pm. Just yesterday at 17pm I saw some hot model go around street letting random people touch her /uncensored/ pair of breasts for fun on the same channel that shows the simpsons, the big bang theory and co just few minutes before and after. Enlighten me how drugs and killing arent as bad as a porn store? However, Im not for it because I think there arent any such stores in muldraugh. Then again, I've sadly never been in the United Epicnesses of States of le america, let alone muldraugh :/.
  22. It could be done before animals are introduced, you could add a random timer going from 1 hour to 1 day, and then just have it spawn a "dead rabbit" food item that you can cook, just like with the chicken and such being in fridges. Im not a coder though so I can be wrong.
  23. Every end should be a bad ending then following pz's tradition of how you died. This means, every end includes the char dieing, and it includes other people dieing, and that nothing good has come out of the situation, only bad stuff. Btw, I've been thinking on a 14 days mode, people have to survive 14 days and try to do as much of kicking the apocalypse in the teeth or helping the zombies nom and kill other humans. Ending 1: Bad playing (kill every survivor, team up with the least people possible, and help the zed kill people.) Baldspot goes to bed on day 14. The screen turns black and on the black screen you could make out a sillhouette of a soldier / survivor: There were 200 survivors alive in muldraugh, the day before you started your havoc. How many are alive today, I wonder? How many will be alive tomorrow? I thought my duty was to protect this city from the zombies. I was wrong... I have to protect it from you! You wake up and your house is suddenly on fire. You have to escape the house when suddenly a woodplank from above falls on baldspot. The screen turns black, says you've survived for 14 days! and then you can hear baldspot scream in utter agony from getting burned and smashed at the same time. Neutral ending: Join / create a survivor group but kill everyone else who isnt in there and kill some zombies. At day 14 you and 3 other people are in the forests searching for food and materials. You hear a bunch of shots nearby and alot of bush rustling, you walk a bit to the shots when a horde of zombies is standing there feasting on the corpse. You and your people decide to head back just to see another horde right behind them coming for the gunshots. You shoot them attracting the other horde, get sorrounded, it shows "You've survived for 14 days" again and you can again here many screams and gunshots from the survivors getting eaten and ripped apart while trying to shoot off the zombies. Good ending: Teamup with all and never try to kill someone, kill as much zombies as possible. You meet up with the group to have a talk. They talk about the food being seriously low, and there not being much left in muldraugh to eat and drink. On a scavenging round in a nearby town, you search for some food, when you find a can of beans. You look back to find more just to find your man pointing a shotgun on your head. Before you can ask "Wha-" he pulls the trigger. It then turns black slowly while you can in the background make out that the guy says "This is going to be one good feasting my friend..." and the man who killed you readys his fireaxe when it turns completely black and says once again "You've survived for 14 days". These are just ideas and do not need to be implemented (and most likely wont be anyway), and it was just to make the point that no matter what you do, or how good the ending is, you should still die no matter what, and it shouldnt tell you anything like "Congratulations youve made it to the end", just the normal youve survived for that you get in sandbox when you die or in survival.
