  1. This mod makes the zombies look a bit more brutal, they have more wounds on their body and the areas around their eyes have been darkened to give a walking dead-esque decay effect. Make sure the zombies are set to 3D, or else this wont work / show up! That's for sure. However, (I haven't tested yet!) if you just move the skin files over to your project zomboid folder (the one where the executables are), then they SHOULD show up in multiplayer too. If you do that, make sure to backup your files, if you grow tired of my skins some day you dont have to reinstall the whole game
  2. You walk through a desolate town when 2 ninjas come out of a dark corner. You try to kick one of them, but miss (miserably in 0.40m distance). Suddenly, you can no longer control yourself; a ninja is holding your from behind. The other ninja then proceeds to kick you into your nuts and pour poison into your mouth, then they laugh at you while you lie on the cold concrete ground in a fetal position. Finally, you proceed to seizure on the ground while your pupils rapidly grow in size and then die.   4. I thought now that new clothing is finally getting added, here are some suggestions of what would be cool to have: Down Jackets: They let you stay out in the rain and they dont get wet. Normal Jacket: Raincoat: Same as down jacket, and I think it would be cool if it could be overlayed other clothing. Hoodies Cargo Pants Sneakers / Running shoes: They will make you tire slower when running. What do you think?
  5. Yeah, they had that in the handdrawn, and i believe in the early rc2 times, sadly they removed that feature (it wasnt really helpful though, because zombies used to move the furniture in a matter of like 2 seconds.)
  6. Exactly. I just don't get how they believe they are any original and different from the other zombie games. I mean, about 50% of the game is fighting zombies, so why the hell do they implement old "swinganimation, connect, knockback animatIons" shit that you'd expect from a badly made nintendo 64 ga-... actually now when I think about it even badly made nintendo 64 games had better combat than this shit. If they don't even bother to give us a realistic fighting experience in a game thats based solely upon scavenging and fighting, then why should I bother to buy, let alone look at it? Why should they bother to create it at all? The knockback swing shit is just gonna get boring after 10 zombie kills (together with the fact they dont even have gore or simple wound textures to make it atleast a BIT better, by that), and then at that same time the whole game (or a giant part of it) will get boring to death and just much of a "no thanks, im done with it" product after 10 minutes of watching a gameplay. That combat system is the reason i lost all my hope in Warz, a combat action game. Look at the last of us, or the forest. These games fucking nailed the combat. In these games when im in a fight, I actually FEEL like im in a fight. I immerse myself to it. Whats more boring in a combat game, ramming a machete into someones body, and then kicking them off to slide that machete out of the flesh when they are kneeling, and see them die with a bloody flesh wound on that rammed place, or swinging the machete and seeing someone turn his head by 20 degrees east without even a single bruise? Definitely not gonna buy this unless they fix that shit. Sorry if I sound too cynical or mean, but 2013 and 2014 are the years of major fucking letdowns and hypetrain mass crashes to me. Project Zomboid, Neo Scavenger, The Stomping Lands, The Forest and The last of us. Those are the only realistic and enjoyable games in the post apocalyptic, survival and combat genres, Smh.

Its the new server Chap Chappington and I are playing on, we loved playing with ya guys too, you should definitely take a look at it. Also at your decent people part, I totally agree. Actually, this whole forum is the nicest and most decent I've been on (together with the older one from the retro / handdrawn times) and I think it's an honour to be here with all of you guys The server I mentioned is probably like alicecoopers in terms of nice players, 2 encounters, one shot on sight the other i had a pleasurable one with a nice dude who's name I forgot. If it continues like this I see a really bright future for PZ's community.
  8. doesn't mean we all cant play together still. Its not only the playing together. In alicecoopers server, I could actually scavenge stuff, have fun with friends and build small bases. We got a small starting kit to aid with survival as a newb. In almost every other server this is not the point. You check 90 houses and get one rotten leek if youre lucky, and you get nothing when you spawn... So basically I had 2 days fun in mp, and now its shutdown thanks to these kiddies, and now I can go and search me another game to play again Edit: Just played in another server after this one. Spawned, went outside after finding nothing, instantly shot by someone. Well, fuck this then.
  9. This is so sad. Finally, I found a multiplayer server where I had fun in, with friendly people and a cool owner, and then the fucking retarded script kiddies get a spawning app and ruin it for everyone. So sad people like that are allowed to exist..
  10. Yeah, firearms shouldn't degrade that's true Also, I think the melee combat should be just some realistically played, real feeling and humanlike kills. I'm talking ramming a sharp weapon into the head of a zombie instead of poking it, like what you do with the knifes right now where he rams it into the zombies, but I think it should just be a little slower, for example, add a chance that the knife gets stuck in the head, or that you kick it off you, or maybe that theres a small chance the first penetration isnt fatal enough (hue...hueheuheue...) and your char does a second one. My point / opinion is that these will not only add a more realistic life like feeling to sharp weapons combat, but also will it take you a little more to kill one zombie, the more you take to kill one zombie the less the chance youre going to survive trying to fight a bigger group (im talking 5-20 zombies). Right now, it IS easy (but as said, placeholder combat system) as you just ram the knife up and out in no time which encourages you more to take on hordes, but if you just add some more slowdowns like the stuff being stuck inside people are much less likely to get encouraged like that and might already have sweaty palms, racing hearts and buzzing heads when 5 zombies are closing in, which is what the devs want from all I know. About the blunt system I really cant say much, like in real life you pretty much swing them with all your power and hope for the skull to break. And lastly, I like your avatar booner. Workaholics is awesome!

Its the same generic zombie setting Same generic quests system where you walk up to the guy he says "Ey b0ss can I habe 500 zombie skulls pls?" and your guy responds "500 zombie heads in a dense urban area... And I get a waterbottle for that?" -"Da's right b0ss" and you respond "Fuck ye cya in 4 days" and you go and risk your life for something completely out of value anyway Same generic & boring looting system where you walk up to a glowing object and drop your backpack, open it, pick it up, put it inside, close your backpack and put it back on your back in 0.0000001 nanoseconds because that's normal. Same generic & boring combat system, guy swings weapon zombie plays knockback animation, since nowadays survivors are just too downright stupid to just ram the sharp weapon they possess into a zombies head like they / normal people with a fucking IQ of over 5 always do in the walking dead & co. Same generic & boring promises of a so hard and unique gameplay people will team up with you and kill zombies with you /AAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHH OH GOD FUCK WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SHOW THAT WHEN I WAS DRINKING, MY MONITOR BAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA/ which just ends up in the same good old pvp chaos of "Hey dude watch that guy 50 zombies following him wanna shoot him" -"Fuck yeah, its not like hes a human that could be any worth or good to team up with against the 3 hit kill zombies, and its not like this will probably just be the same old server hopping system of DayZ & co where you can willingly jump out of an US into an AU server in no time instead of being bound to this server so you can actually create a fucking base and clan and have some actual realistic zombie survival experience" - Boom headshot +5 cooking skills added you learnt how to properly peel an apple. However, that's just a really quick cynical review of the trailer and the 2 paragraphs on the main page, haven't bothered to read the news or forum posts yet since I'm kinda sure this is just gone be WarZ all over again. Also, on a quick sidenote, when the chor kicked in in the trailer I fucking lost my shit. Don't know what the fetish for devs is to put medieval battle music into zombie game trailers but they sure as hell make the apocalypse situation brighter and funnier if you ask me. Well, that's it for this month guys! I'm going back to my Aard cave where i will spend my next month staring at your family.
  12. A really great first post, welcome to the forums The generators are a great idea, and are well balanced. I would see it being a great addition when npcs are in, with your clan being one of the few with a working generator and better storable food and water etc... you could probably as well attract rogue groups / clans or have a higher chance of people joining you. "Hey, wanna tag along?" "Get lost." "We got a working generator!" "Lets fucking go!" I support this!

  15. Gunshot wounds: Thats my fav! Actually, wounds in general! When I ram an axe into someones head, i expect blood and flesh to show up Taking cover: It should probably work with autoinitialize and taking cover, so for example when the player is under fire and runs against a car the player will automatically combat roll / slide / squat against the car and then be able to shoot around and go back to cover, and you should be able to get out of cover using "c", this would allow the devs to add another function to the button that would have been the cover button, and also it would look alot cooler than simply having the crouch animation infront of a car That worked pretty well in the last of us!

  19. I would but I simply dont know how to make other people than my 2 friends be able to join. Something with port forwarding yeah but how... HOW?! Would i just need to enter the ports needed and then ask people to join and theyd randomly get that port and join my server or do i have to tell each one of them a different port?
  20. Can you explain the logic behind this thought? I don't know of a single gun or mag in rl that tells you how many bullets are left. but i haven't fired any high tech guns. The P90 kinda does, it has a transparent magazine on top of it and it lets you see how many bullets you fired. It doesnt give you the exact count, but you can see if its half or quarter full and such. However, I think with the cop trait (or later if they add it, (ex) military) you should be able to "feel" the amount of bullets left, so after a while of shooting and reloading and loading guns and all that, your character gets a feel of what weight the magazine has and like that be able to say something like "Magazine's half full!" or "Got a quarter left" or something like that, you get the idea, no exact amounts of bullets but rather just a... less exact one. I never really fired magazine-using gun myself, but I heard alot that after awhile you get a hang of the gun you use alot and just feel the weight.

  23. For example when i try to place a tree on grass or wheat on dirt, the tile already sitting on that place gets replaced with the new one. I see alot of pictures of lots with camping tents or trees or signs on other tiles or street tiles with these parking lines on them, when i try to make those the part under it gets deleted. Sorry fo the noob question
  24. B-but, building the buildings is 1/3 of the fun of map making What we REALLY need is a road generator. The real pain is making all of the side walks, street lines and cracks and details into the roads, I swear it takes like 1/4 of the map making process / time.
