  1. How will we get to see the seasons? For example in winter, will the tiles slowly turn white via a shader / overlay texture, will there be actual winter animations, will the clothing and other visuals on people turn into a snowy texture? In multiplayer theres no sleeping, and even if there is it would still be hard to make it simply swatch all the textures when somebody goes to sleep as that would result in some people talking about winter wonderlands and joking about zombies having hard times / building snowmen in the snow while others will still be stuck in some rainy kentucky with bare trees and such. Also, how much and what clothing will we get? Will the update be simple as in adding A hoodie for cold climates, a jacket to put over everything, and a t shirt for summer? Or will it be more indepth and personal with stuff like extra parkas, trenchcoats, rain coats down jackets etc..
  2. The last of us' university map (in multiplayer) is pretty fucking awesome, my third favourite map of the 20 somethings. Now when you said it I definitely want a university in pz, would be awesome looting class rooms and then opening another door and having tons of zombies burst out. Throw those books after em!
  3. I agree, I love little details that add to immersion in games. I have maybe 15-20 of those kinds of mods for Skyrim. Do you know anyone that would be willing to make a mod such as this? I loved the game "Vietcong" and its expansions a ton because of its little details. Its the most authentic (and sadly only good) vietnam war game that really seems like the devs spent time researching about. It had a great medical system with tons of brutal realistic and different damage models for each soldier (for example, a vietcong hit by artillery would show his chest and intestines blown up, while a different variation of a vietcong would show half the head and lots of skin and the legs gone which added alot to the immersion and "WOW THAT WAS FUCKING BRUTAL" factors.) or the realistic foliage that actually grows in vietnam and all. Its from 2004 though alot of people still play it and its multiplayer, last time I counted like 300 servers with 100 players playing. Little details are what make every game, I'd much rather have realistic foliage that actually grows in muldraugh and limbs exploding in different ways for different weapons over a bigger selection of weapons any day.
  4. Sounds good enough. Little details like these would surely add to the immersion!
  5. To make it work in multiplayer, you have to copy all the skins (man/female_white/black ones) to your textures folder. Please note however, that that will override your current textures and you may make a backup of the images / folder. Good luck Thanks alot, my fine sir! I hope my mod brings you lots of fun
  6. Youre not the server owner from what im gathering, not sure how to take this. Imo PVP is what makes these servers, PVP is a thousand times more adrenaline inducing than PVE.
  7. While a good idea, such weapon could be used to easily decimate a horde with one or two clicks. Ive seen lots of hordes in pz, theyre packed together in one big blob and a flamethrower like that would set em all ablaze with one click, leaving you no challenge at all. I think the gasoline should deplete really quickly from the flamethrower, taking up all of the gasoline in the tank within 4-5 seconds. Also, it should be very hard to carry and weigh something like the sledgehammer does, plus all burning zombies will burn alive for like 2 irl minutes so they can atleast still get the player if theyre not careful, or set the city / forest on fire when using it. It should be a last resort weapon for when shit really hits the fan. Other than that great idea. But Im not sure if we should be able to craft THAT exact flamethrower. Pretty sure only a handful to nearly no single person in muldraugh would be able to build something like THAT and instead rather use the good ol flame can instead of a highly mechanical and technical backpack thrower. Remember that theres no internet anymore to look for stuff like that, and having every resident in muldraugh craft a backpack flamethrower instead of a small aerosol can flamethrower seems unrealistic.
  8. In one mondoid, the devs stated they wanted to try and make the vehicles be 3d objects on the 2d world which will then drive 3d gamey, so they will not follow the set directions asdw and a+w or d+s and will instead drive in every single angle, the same way that aiming works right now. Dunno if that requires physics but im sure its different.
  9. What will we be able to paint just skulls and arrows or will we be able to paint letters as well? Do you think writing letters on walls will be nice for the game? I just can see with my future-vision griefers writing memes on the walls, and other... Things... Unturned is perfect for this example. Every note ive found yet was basically "w fuckers get cancer lol" or "1 4m 50 1337 kek 9/11 ftw lmao brehs you all suck 420 noscope while blazin" and stuff like that. While it does kinda ruin the immersion however, not everyone will be doing that, pretty sure if you have a maintain community / whitelist of good rp'ers youll find most if not all notes will probably have some interesting rp stories and sightings on them. Just because one part of the community will mis-use them doesnt mean every single one has to suffer because of them. I could see notes being pretty helpful, like hanging notes on certain buildings to give directions to a stash, or a safehouse. I just hope that the notes that have been written on by players cant be edited by random people like in unturned, because thats what usually ends up in the "420 blazeit feggits" stuff.
  10. Hope youll have fun making it. If youre planning atlanta, have fun with that. I already tried a larger sized city map and unless youre having some kind of vacation you likely wont have the free time, and in some cases the will and motivation to do so. Thats for me atleast, dont know about your will to produce If that map is going to get released ill sure as hell play the heck out of it!
  11. You deserve to take some time off and clear your head! Im pretty sure youve been a giant help to many community mappers, as i said f***ton of buildings you have here
  12. Thats a f***ton of buildings you got there. Im in awe. Youre extremely dedicated to your work, I see, lots of respect to you !
  13. Im growing more and more tired of multiplayer survival games. Around 80% of those are ruined and no fun because of their shitty kill on sight communities. PZ MP is a great experience to me because you dont encounter alot of humans, and when you do they're most likely friendly or neutral ones, cant say that about any other such game i played where you cant even crouch without getting a forthelulz headshot to the face and losing days of progress just for one random guy to have a small "lol" at you. I really hope they have a singleplayer mode with npc humans, else im likely not going to get it. Aside from that, the game does look pretty awesome. I like how you can walk around in the rv
  14. Thats really awesome! Ive been a long time nexus fan because of the easiness to download and install mods with their tool. Great to see PZ on it now
  15. That would be cool to see indeed! Thanks for your support Btw, I was working on the last of us infected aswell. I had clickers and runners and stalkers done, the clickers look fucking gorgeous as a zoomed in texture file but when its in the game, all zoomed out, the mushroom on the head just looks like a bloody skull even though its orange white.
  16. Nice question breh. I was bored, so I typed "cute doggies playing" in youtube, and a project zomboid video came up at around 3 videos in. I immediately fell in love with the german shepherd and project zomboid and thought "gotta buy this noaw!" Thats it.
  17. That was my feeling as well. Problem is that as far as I know, clothing is server based in multiplayer, and you cant have underwear zombies as that would need to remove their clothing from their loot where wouldnt get clothes there but everyone else would, and that would be seen as a mismatch between client and server files making multiplayer incompatible with this mod (which is, until npcs are in, rather gamebreaking :/) plus I dont know how to script that stuff anyway. Problem is that I did most of my detailing on the torso and legs on the zombies, i realized later on when i tested that those parts arent shown since every single zombie wears pants and shirts.
  18. One of the most important things would be more and larger trees. Then the detail like dried and fresh leaves on the ground, branches and small bodies of water. Heck, for all i care they could even just make like large forest tiles that include dried forests bushes and groups of trees and spam them over the forest areas. As long as I have an immersive and beautiful feel to the forests im fine. Just drawing out the images of my "The road"-esque looking survivor in winter clothing and the glorious thick beard kneeling infront of a faint fire in a dark and blinding forest with a hunting rifle and a large filled backpack and some cans of soup next to me.
  19. I think so, too! The other day, I was toying around with the building and map editing tools and I believe as of now the most realistic forests would be by making detailed forest "buildings" in the building editor and then put them into the forests of your map. I personally did some "buildings" with lots of dirt and some grass, small streams and also many non-pine / fir trees (aka the ones you see in the city for example) then I added some limber and some stumps to simulate other survivors that tried to build small cabins in the woods but failed. While it looked more beautiful and detailed than the normal trees only forests, theres only so much you can do with like, 3 fir trees and 4-5 aspen / dedicious trees.
  20. I dont know about that. I have been in really fucking messed up situations like doing fun wrestling with my brother where he threw me into lego bricks ripping parts of my back open and i didnt scream out loud. He speared me into the thing on the wall that warms the room up if you turn it on, had a deep large cut in my head and i didnt scream, and when he was obese he fell right onto my foot and nearly broke it (the bone was kinda dislocated) and I didnt scream either. I wouldnt want my character to scream while sneaking in a horde simply because of being bitten by a zombie or because I have a wound, in which case I also dont scream or cry in agony. Im pretty sure if youre in the middle of a horde and try not to get seen you wouldnt scream loudly and alert a whole horde because of a scratch. Also note that I was in a young age, about 7-9 when all that happened and the sounds that I did were quiet "fffff..." "argh..." "fuck that hurts..." and not "ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHAHAHUAHUAHAUEHUEHEURHAHAHHAHAHARRRRGG"s. As a trait that adds points like +2 or +4 that would be ok, but not as a forced thing. Also, when my dog bit a deep bite into my arm I simply did that neck pinching thing with your fingers which shows dogs that youre the dominant one and it instantly let go, and even there I wouldnt scream loudly because of the bite, I just screamed loudly so that my parents would come and desinfected and get me to a doctor, but if I were in a zombie apocalypse situation I doubt id scream.
  21. Some people carrying a rifle would see a zombie group coming at them as nothing a rifle couldnt handle, while others would start panicking thinking about the potential of missing heads or having the rifle jam, for example. Same is with the guns or no guns thing. Some guys could see a baseball bat as a better and more secure way to go (due to not fearing a miss or jam in their perspective) and could panic with a rifle in their hands if they're inexperienced shooters, while others would panic only having a baseball bat and not a rifle in their hands. Its a tricky thing to please every player with and I believe until they find a better way they should really just keep up with the "weapon doesnt matter im 96% going to die" setting.
  22. What makes you think it's specifically in Canada? There's plenty of similar woodland in northern Europe and Russia. Because the currency / cash you find littered on the ground are dollar notes, the plane had a german flag on it so its either in germany, USA or canada. Im extremely highly sure that this game doesnt play in russia, and german forests dont exactly look like whats shown in the game. Also, there was a story of a lost colony in virginia, who knows if it play there? Back before the game came out the wiki stated that the game played in a forest somewhere in america. And lastly, I hope for it to be and the weather you see in the game is extremely similiar to the climates found in a canadian boreal forest and the foliage is, also, mostly found in canadian boreal forests. Climate, foliage and dollar notes hint quite alot to a canadian forest.
  23. I was waiting for quite a long time for this, and I have to say that this is one of the very rare games that live up to their hype trains (imo). What annoys me is the bunch of kids that are screaming around that the game has bugs and that they die in stupid ways, or the general fact that these people are trying to enjoy a game without any bugs that is released early so that people can report glitches and bugs to help the devs find them and patch em quicker, and just want to play instead of reporting bugs and just go full metal "DIED BY A PLANT THIS GAME FUCKING SUCKS I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!111". However, avoiding those kinds of people I feel like the community is pretty mature and fun to have discussions and such with, and the game itself is awesome and has a lot of replayability even in its current state, then again, I find every game that has even somewhat realistic melee combat in it awesome . Also, this is the only game I know that has a realistic forest in it where you can get blinded by plants and get lost quickly, other than in almost every other game where deep forests are simply grass with some trees and bushes in them, and I think the wildlife and immersion is simply awesome. Also, alot of people including me believe that the game plays somewhere in canada because im 97% sure its a canadian boreal forest. Incase that is true, we could get some grizzly encounters (see what i did there ?) with bears and maybe lions too. It would be dope to have raccoons and bunnys as pets xD
  24. I'll fix this when I have the time to, it does look silly now that you mention it
  25. No, I just wanted to state that you need 3d only player ATLEAST for this to work. If you do player + zombies then you will have both creatures with my mods wouldn't your new skin be placed on zeds as well? if i had 3d set to player + 5? Zombies and humans have different skins, I myself am playing with both mods combined without any problems, don't worry
