  1. I don't really know if the term 'Broad Hatchet' is correct, but this mod makes the Fire Axe look like a normal axe. Wood Handle and stone blade.   2. I was going to mention how to do this later because I figured in the beginning no one would really use or catch onto this script. When you mod clothes, you must first import the male or female model. (this loads the rig, and has to be there when exporting). Sorry. So: 1) import male.txt 2) import shirt.txt 3) mod the shirt 4) export the shirt (This is because the model doesn't contain the bone data required, but still exports the weights of the bones. This is weird, but this is how it is currently for the game.) Thanks for the help! I'll try that now. Is it like that for every such object, like beards and hair too? Edit: After some minor headaches, heres the exact steps that worked for me: 0) Make a backup of whatever you wanna mod 1) Import male.txt 2) Import shirt.txt 2.5) Make sure you do it in exactly THAT order 3) Mod the shirt 4) Deselect everything 5) Select only the shirt in Object Mode 6) Export I am having heaps of fun with your tools, modding the game so much right now lol.
  3. Well for some reason I can't export beards and clothes, its file size just shrinks and the game crashes. Basically ive untucked the shirt and blouse and made it a little longer / bigger but it doesnt seem to work. Do I need to export it skinned or with an uv map or should i not use vertex editing or..?

  6. I shall break the chain of Developer posts to stay true to my member title! Also, great work man I bet many modders will appreciate this. Personally, I was unable to load anything as it all just kept being a cube but then again, I'm a noob in blender and don't know anything about it lol.
  7. There's no official mod support for 3D stuff, and yet people manage to make their own models and port them into the game using all kinds of hex editing and coding tools etc, pretty amazing.
  8. I use gimp (2). Basically right now I'm taking the bald Bob and Kate skins, make them paler using hue & saturation, add blood on them and then I'm just about done.
  9. Had to revert my computer to factory settings, so the original mod files are gone. I am going to start work on it again soon, probably with a layer-based customizer so the users can make them as bloody / pale / etc as they want
  10. It depends on how the devs want to make that game. Do they want a realistic experience where you can climb walls and easily lose zombies like you could in real life? Do they want a hardcore experience where you can't climb easily climbable walls so that the challenge of the game isn't taken away? Do they want a mixed game? I think it should be a server / sandbox option. Like "Climbing / Parkour: [Zombies: Human, Medium, Slow, None] [Humans: Realistic, Mixed, Unrealistic, None]" or something like that.
  11. I think you could throw it over a medium high wall, like one thats 0.5-1 meter higher than you. That should however degrade the condition of some items.
  12. Arms up the air and your half a meter taller. Then a little jump and you can hang ontop and drag yourself up to jump over. If this was implemented, it should take time though. Like have the player hang around for like 3 or so seconds, then sit on the wall and rest for 2 seconds and then jump down and recover for 1 second.
  13. The only animal i wouldn't eat would be a german shepherd. Damn I love these dogs. Maybe if I'd see a stray cat id just let it run off. But if I'm hungry... *Dayum cats and dogs are DELICIOUS.* No honestly, if you were desperate, would you not kill a cat and dog to eat em? I seriously hope this thread isn't only about pets right now lol.

    It definitely does. I thought id make some, among them would be a detailed forest with a cabin, a hotel (think about the hotel grand from the last of us ) a mall a police station etc.

    I do not really know much about mapping yet, so I would probably have to take some lesson. There are plenty of awesome guides here! Really great idea to have this be a last stand map, I thought it could be some nice city block with the police station in the middle. Definitely happening if last stand maps aren't too complicated. This is my idea of more detailed forests, basically wilderness lots that you can place all over your maps wilderness: I made it really quickly because I have to go now, so ones where more time and passion have been put into will definitely look better than this.

    Here are some buildings i made from when the map tools came out and now. The inside of the station has a too large file size to upload, just imagine a bunch of chairs, an office, some cells an armory and an american flag. Dem american flags should always be included with american buildings. Most of 'em are work in progress as you can probably see. What's your opinion?
  21. I'm a fan of the alien movies and had tons of hours spent on aliens vs predators 2's "Alien Lifecycle" multiplayer mode. That was fucking awesome. Facehugging predators and eating until im a predator, awesome times. I'm probably going to get Alien Isolation a lil later though. However, it looks really promising and the Will Porter did a great job with the writing, from what I've seen on youtube.
  22. Just more stuff to have insecure cat owners come over to my real life topics and shit + piss on dogs and turn the "I find german shepherds really cute" into a war zone. Just my thoughts here, at least give us dogs we can play with and train and help scavenge and all. I know I'm the cynical ass here but I just HAD to. *just to make sure, with insecure i mean the insecure guys. I'm not talking about generalizing any animal owner / fan here, I just guess the early death of my dog made me a little hateful and cynic towards these people. If you don't poison flesh or put nails into it to have dogs eat them and don't go around insulting dogs and all then don't feel targeted here.
  23. I think the best maps are always those that have everything, think GTA San Andreas' and 5's map. A desert / large sandy area, an urban area, some towns and villages, forests rivers etc you get the idea. Also make sure to detail your forest, like creating buildings that are forest blocks. For the fighting each other, that depends. Do you want a war-ish feel with player encounters and fire fights every few minutes or do you want more of an apocalypse feel with maybe one fire fight every 2 days or week (ingame of course). I'd say do a medium map, maybe 8-12 cells. Again, make sure you have lots of variation. Cities with suburbs, many different houses and supermarkets, skyscrapers (maximal level in build ed is 8 if i'm correct) offices, churches, prisons hospitals asylums. When I made my first map I didn't do any planning and simply drew what came to my mind and then did some fine tuning and the buildings, my cell size was 12 which was pretty fine and easily doable and many houses and street layouts were done freestyle with some inspirations from small american towns on google maps.   25. What animations are going to be worked on? I think top priority should be something like crouching and searching around in the backpack when doing backpack inventory management, hugging the walls and maybe a longer walking and sprinting animation?
