Also, we need a metal door frame and a metal door that can be crafted with a doorknob and key that is 3-4 times stronger than the carpentry one.

    362. Redboid we get lots of complaints about players "combat logging" when about to pvp. i know the new build will do a save when player damage is taken, but any plans to add a 5 second cool down timer or something for players when they quit would help too. E.g they would have to watch the countdown before fading out to the main menu. Basically vulnerable for 5 secs. Would stop all this online alt f4 bullshit before they take damage.

No. But there will be, I'll add it tomorrow probably. For now you could use the coordinate teleporter, get your current coords, change Z value and teleport, most of the time you stay up there.

Well at least it is possible to make a train only using tiles of the base game, this station will be in the residential area of Eerie Country the main city, I may be fucked but not defeated in continuing to build.

    365. Metal crates and walls should be 2-3 times harder to break than wooden ones, and should make more noise doing so.
    366. Metal fire barrel should be added back in as an alternative fire source to camp fire.

Great things are under construction, good progress for the map, sorry for my delay in updating this post, things in my country Venezuela are not very good at the moment and I have several issues to worry about, error correction is in pause, but others Aspects of the map are progressing, plans continue at a good pace, thanks to 956Texas and Cyrrent Eiledoll, who are helping me with the map, their work is still under the shadow of the great Eerie project but I know they like the news that we have for you .

That is all for the moment a greeting from the Venezuelan Andes.

Hey guys, marked the 200 buildings anniversary that I made with this nice family sized Nuclear Bunker. It has 2 decontamination rooms, a common area, a kitchen, storage, bathroom, small armory, small medical supplies room, two shared bedrooms (F and M sleep in different rooms) and a storage room with food and freezers. It has a vent that goes outside, you can probably see it in the pictures. All is furnished and done, and yes, even the light switches are there, it's just that they are a bit hidden from view  Hope you all enjoy my work for the upcoming Union City map !

Hydro I am so, so sorry to read this. I simply can't imagine what you must be going through right now.

Real life comes before everything, and please don't let Hydrocraft occupy even a fraction of your mind while you're going through such difficult times.

As always Kirrus you have missed the mark. I've not pinpointed any specific feature in my post, merely posted a reminder to regular (even small) updates as promised many months ago. Currrently servers can't even edit the spawnpoints or regions until the iwbums go public. More subtance needed less fluffy mondoids, especially ones that mimic 3 years ago - https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2014/06/march-to-1-0/

They really need to add back in the fire barrel at least. That would be a nice safe fire and add a bit of variety for players.

still at work here, just building some massive buildings which are several buildings clustered up. So I could have more detail to my alleys, these buildings just take a long while to make, especially the furnishing parts.

I managed to create several storage units which I dont feel the need to share since its one of the most simple things to make.

And Im working on my highschool which is massive and takes pretty much a whole cell.

In the mean time I have smaller map I can work on which can showcase some of the buildings I have been working on for this map. And the town pretty much sticks to the lore of my city here.
Town Is called Tal Oaks which is a Rural town to the south of Sato City, small town with some tall buildings and lots of wilderness. as well a large gated Community with lots of mansions being the main POI.

Yea ive been enjoying the building part of the map making.
I tend to make stories up of the past residents of each apartment. And I don't limit myself to just making basic rooms. sometimes say the person who resided in  the apartment was messy as hell compared to his neighbor.
Also have been getting better and better at it,
Found one of the best methods to finish an apartment complex quick is to get a floor ready to be duplicated for the next floor, so Ill draw out the rooms, place the doors, windows, all the fixtures and appliances and lights before I duplicate the floor.
This way I don't have to place all the toilets, sinks, counters, lights, and stoves when I start furnishing all the rooms.
If you completely furnish a floor before duplication then youre going to either stick with each floor looking exactly the same or youll have to do the tedious task of deleting and replacing furniture to dispel the copypaste illusion

    RACCOON CITY MAP /PROJECT/

    Welcome Leon!

Update: Thanks for all the support and I'm sorry for staying silent all this long. I loved the idea of recreating this amazing city but at the time; school, work, some PZ updates, and my old laptop's old hardware made me lost motivation to keep working on this project. I just put everything away just to collect dust. But not anymore, after trying Project Zomboid's new animations for a couple of months, it brought me back that motivation I had when I worked in RC. I always loved the idea to experiment surviving in a city in PZ. And I knew RC would be one of the best cities where people can both recognize iconic buildings and have the feeling of being in a urban city. Thanks a lot and I will bring more updates in a couple of days, but at the time. I exported the map and tested multiple buildings as a Police Officer, I wonder who's Leon and if he at least had a nice first day?

    Old Post:

How you doing survivors, I´ll hope you are doing great. This new post was made to separate the old with the new.
I have been working in the project pretty slowly but without stopping.

I´m planning to make a big map, with all Raccoon City´s forests and two little towns called "Stoneville" and "Arklay City". I have many ideas for building the main city and too many tasks to do but I wont stop until the project is done. At the moment, I have the basis of the map as png files and are about 15 chunks for the city.

I'm using this map as reference:

I'm currently working in one chunk with iconic buildings from RE2 and a couple from RE3. I will show pictures of these places but at the same time try to avoid "spoiling" too much about the project. I'd rather have you guys experience it than being spoiled. I'll limit it for places that people already know for the moment.

    Progress Update:

So I've created shells for a few more towns which are Melway, Hickston, and Merrill. Heres a bit about what to expect in each of these towns and where the main settlement area will be:

    Melway
Melway is an industry type of town and will have access to larger docks and will have more warehouses. Thus for tools this should be amongst the first places you hit. In this town the place to fortify will likely be one of the smaller warehouses or a small boat.

    Hickston
Hickston is th second city in the area that im working on. It will have many tall office buildings, lots of construction and overall a balanced layout of buildings. The residential areas gravitate towards the center and the south portions of town and the business surround them on the east and west. To the north you'll find a large factory and some self storage units. In this city the place to hide is going to be on the roof top of one of the office buildings.

    Merrill
Merill is a resort type of town. its where people go to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. you'll find restaurants, a couple of hotels and plenty of hobby shops. Many of the smaller buildings are houses while some are rentable cabins. You'll also find some timeshare houses which will be the identical aside from the furniture. In its outskirts you'll likely find camps with some remaining loot. In this location the main hotel at the entrance to the city will have the settlement located on its top two floors.

Now i've been going on about settlements for the last couple of days and youre probably wondering what I mean. These are locations that will have lots of different resources for your disposal and provide refuge in an otherwise hostile environment.

Thats it for todays update. As always questions, comments and suggestions are welcomed!

Update update: Piers will be added back again in the next update. I tried to prevent zombies from jumping on water tiles, but due to the lack of visibility after making railings non-hoppable it wasn't that helpful.  So I'll try to think of another fix, but either way Piers will return.

    V1.3

    - Fixed Docks: The piers were nice, but allowed zombies to jump over railings and got stuck on water tiles. So they were removed for now.
    - Removed fence between docks and main base area
    - Added a Ship: Couldn't attach it to the Docks because of zombie behavior causing them to jump into water so I made a spot by the survivors shelter to dock.
    - Fixed some minor problems with vegetation and props
