  1. Before the update, PZ Steam .17 (beta) had two mods that were standard (never had to download or activate them myself). One of them was the menu improvement mod (menus stay on screen). Both mods aren't available anymore after the update, even though they are in the mod directory. Could this be the issue for not loading old save games? I've re-installed PZ and the mods in question but no success. I've deleted my 1 month save game because of this...lol. Don't mind that because I love rebuilding. Would be great to solve this for the future though. Thx.
  2. Well....this one time, I walked away from my computer to get a drink. Leaving my survivor in the rain with a fever. Smart? Not really.
  3. 5 steps to victory............ (for better quality and no comments....pm me )
  4. I think this is an interesting idea. Maybe the succes rate of the seeds could be adjusted. Let's say 50% success rate. I've planted several seeds from food I ate in RL and yes it's possible to grow new things from them. Especially from organic food. Also the berries in the woods are great for this.
  5. Ah okay, well I can understand why there will never be a highscore list. Come to think of it....it's better that way. Thx for the info. Yeah you're right, maybe I'm so caught up in this game and it's survival aspects that I'm afraid it wil be ruined. Have seen that happen to so many other great survival games. W.A.
  6. Why do you care about how other people play their game? As long as they don't cheat in multiplayer (which is far off atm) I don't see a problem with cheating-mods. More importantly how do you classify a cheating mod. Some people might say Lockpicking is essential, others will say it is cheaty to use it in Survival. So where would you draw the line? Exactly. Where to draw the line? Survival mode (would be cool to have a top 100 survivors) no 'non official' mods and Sandbox mode free to do whatever you like. The question is not why, I just care about it (last alinea original post explains some of it). Not saying everyone should feel te same. This is how I feel. And I think the only way to be safe from cheats is to play with RL friends......if they can be trusted that is ......
  7. So I took a look at the mod section of the forum and discovered there are some great 'game making' and 'game breaking' mods. First of all I want you to know I'm not attacking anyone here. I admire everyone who makes a mod for PZ. Thx for putting effort in the game. That said, I think some mods belong in Survival mode (survival mods like making a slingshot or great extra stories) and some belong in Sandbox mode (spawning items in game). In my opinion this game is about survival. Why spawn items to survive. It should be extremy hard to survive. That's what I enjoy about PZ (and other brutal games like FTL). That's what keeps me playing. I want to be able to say...Hell yeah, I survived for a year in this hostile place. If mods really go wild there will be all kinds of 'How to make live easy in a Zed apocalypse' mods. And of course that's okay, but only make those mods available in sandbox mode. Survival mode should be and stay brutal.I just like exploring and making my own map with pen and paper or just by remembering instead of looking things up on the internet. I love being hungry and take huge risks for just a can of soup. Now I know some people might say 'Don't install those mods.' Well yeah you're right, but it just doesn't feel the same for me, knowning that I'm busting my balls to survive in survival mode and other people just spawn some food when they want to survive another day. That's why PZ should have both. Survival mode should stay true to it's origins and Sandbox mode is free to try whatever people can come up with. Have fun all. W.A.
