  1. Unless it's a metal ladder. Most sturdy enough to not be destroyed aren't very portable. The heavy metal ladders on fire escapes I could see as indestructible by zombies... the cheap aluminum ones you buy at stores could easily be rendered useless as a ladder (I know, I've gone through quite a few over the years).
  2. You must be interacting with zombies in a far different manner than I do...
  3. Except on Sandbox with No Transmission option... Then it takes a bit more... But for the default scenarios, you are correct.
  4. That brings up an odd question (and would probably take a linguistic to answer) if gender is specific to each language or there's enough similarities. Like, I wonder if all the ones that are neutral in say Deutsch are all the same gender in (either all masculine or all feminine) in French. Regardless, it'd probably be easier to simply code the existence of the variable (defaulting to Neutral) and a bit to select the adjective/determiner. Then have the actual addition of non-neutral gender (and non-neutral adjectives/determiners) under language files. (I did a lot of modding to Civ IV and V but never did much with langauges since I'm not bilingual - I understand grammar for Deutsch but know little vocabulary as I wasn't a fan of memorization by rote and preferred memorization through use - but I recall seeing the variables in the XML).
  5. I'm assuming you are referring to the running animation while empty-handed and using "Ctrl" to look around (which is technically fast sneaking and should look goofy) because just outright running empty-handed didn't appear this way to me.
  6. the problem with this particular assumption is that the lore the game follows makes it so we don't know just what started the outbreak in the first place. yeah, but you'd assume that the clothes would have infected blood on it from the wounds/bites that infected the person in the first place. even if the flesh itself isn't directly an infection risk, the dried/congealed blood on the clothes would make putting them on an open wound a bad idea. That goes on the assumption that whatever causes the infection is transmitted by blood. Since you don't risk infection when you bash a zombie's brains in with a bat (and believe me, you'd get splattered) and instead when you're scratched or bitten, that to me rules out blood alone as a source of transmission. We also don't know how long the infection can survive outside (if it even can) another organism, so the clothes might be perfectly safe (I could see this as an option for sandbox or mods though, but not necessarily standard to the game).
  7. Yo! Another aproach to this could be that the player gets a happiness boost when actually manages to fish something. Like in real life! You may spend hours looking at the pole in the sea (or the river), you'll get bored, but then, suddenly, the thing actually start to move and you manage to catch the poor fish and... happiness boost I really like these changes and I like this suggestion too As someone that often plays a fisherman, I always found it weird that my character would get bored when fishing lol. It would be really cool if certain actions being successful or doing something related to your chosen traits affected your characters mood as well I'll jump on this as well... I don't fish often but when I actually catch something, I do get a sense of achievement and pride out of it. Side note: There should be a trait for reducing boredom in general (I don't tend to bore easily because I have a vivid imagination and can distract myself with daydreams while doing menial chores that don't require much attention). And a trait for reducing boredom while reading skill books... I've always enjoyed learning something new and never got bored reading textbooks - especially in subjects I wanted learn - but I have a thirst for knowledge and often research things on my own to learn more about them (most recently, I was curious about national holidays in other countries so I spent about 4 hours reading about them on the net - started with curiosity about parallels to Independence Day/President's Day in other nations - Mexico, New Zealand, Japan and Serbia had their foundation holidays earlier this month).
  8. Technically with the evolved recipes (and the option to each 1/4 or 1/2 of something) food is kinda drainable...
  9. It doesn't? I recall showing remaining water left in containers like botles/cups... Same for drainables like pills, tissue, salt... If it's not showing now it might be a recent bug.
  10. Quite a few here use walk-in freezers. I know Pizza Inn and Godfather's both had walk-in freezers when I worked there. I've also worked as a caterer at some higher-class places that used large refridgerator-style freezers or horizontal freezers, but they weren't that common (usually when people needed portability - most established restaurants would spring for a walk-in freezer) A lot of convenient stores use them (especially the horizontal freezers - with glass lids for displaying frozen snacks) in addition to a walk-in freezer.
  11. You can if you drag the icon the your inventory and not the side bar where it shows containers.
  12. Just watched the video for it and - as a statement to how juvenile I can be - one of the times they opened their inventory I noticed "Nut" right above "Butter" and couldn't help chuckling... Also noticed the "Bowl of Cereal" looked more like a box in the screenshot.
  13. Depends on if it's an optional feature or not. If it's not optional it might create issues for players with connection issues or those who frequently have to step away from the computer for short periods.
