  1. No mod Maggots can't be used as baits in stick traps
  2. you can already paint some symbols on walls with a paint brush and a bucket of paint but there aren't many: skull, right arrow, up arrow, left arrow, down arrow. They could add a lot more indeed.
  3. it was planned, don't know if it's going to be a thing one day. https://projectzomboid.com/blog/news/2018/09/beeverdoid/
  4. I think workbenches are already planned
  5. That's typically the thing that would be really annoying but needed and I thought about this too, also it shouldn't be possible to eat while you are nauseous.
  6. You have to craft a Notched Wooden Plank and have sticks in your main inventory, then you right click on the campfire => light with notched wooden plank, and you keep trying until it works. Apparently the trait outdoorsman gives you a better chance at succeeding
  7. Or just dive directly through it, could be done like that: if character is sprinting (not running) and hitting a window then they dive through it, closed or opened, and obviously if it is closed it breaks and character gets hurt. I know, in reality most windows wouldn't break this easily but why do we have to make everything so realistic?
  8. An "easy" way to fix this would be to make fences destroyable by zombies when they can't climb them, crawlers are already coded like that so it may be not that hard to make normal zombies attack them too
  9. 7 years ago TIS talked about a creative mode, it was supposed to be released for build33 but they gave up on it, I don't know why.
  10. That's a good idea, maybe not always have to type every time and just check a box or select a choice for common/repeating actions so it's less tedious but yes it could be useful, that's what I'm doing sometimes with paper sheets in the game. it would be really useful in MP, players could check players calendars or the faction's calendar to attribute tasks and plan on things to do.
  11. That's what I thought too but what if you cut the leg of a zombie and it crawls to the other side of the street and you kill it there, you gonna get its shoes even though one of its leg is 10 meters away, it could work but wouldn't be realistic. You're right it could be tedious but I had in mind that the current combat system would be kept if the player doesn't hover a zombie's part.
  12. It would be even better if you could decide where to hit by hovering the mouse cursor on a part of the zombie. It would make combat way more interesting because of the skill needed as a player to hover the mouse cursor during a fight and for the choice to make, "do I take the risk of missing a hit by targeting the head but kill it in one swing or do I target the legs to make sure I hit it and make it fall?" But it brings a performance issue, each severed limb would have to be displayed as containers because if you cut a leg and you want the zombie's shoes you gonna have to loot the leg and the rest of the corpse.
  13. Like those? No, it's not a mod, I found them here: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#13153x1398x7088 The problem is that we can't pick them up apparently.
  14. When I read the title I expected something more like a pile of corpses created by killing lot of zombies at the same place making it difficult to walk or even impossible to pass, as others said it seems unlikely to have this phenomena with slow zombies and I don't see how it could be implemented in the game, maybe if 20 zombies are in a very tight place a zombie could pop up at the 1st floor, it would be kinda weird to see that in PZ. Also it goes against the behavior of zombies in PZ, when a zombie sees you in PZ and can't reach you it just stands where it is, it doesn't try to get to you by slamming itself in a wall, even with a fence it doesn't do that (except if it is a player made construction), which I personally think is a shame to not have this classic zombie behavior by the way but that's how it is...
  15. As an extension of this idea crops should be protected against animals, wooden fences against rabbits, scare crows against birds and barbed wire fences or walls against boars/deers
  16. Exactly what I had in mind when I read the first line of your topic, also worms should be easier to find (by digging or foraging) when it rains for the same reason.
  17. yes and our characters making sounds instead of being totally mute to all kind of injuries except sometimes when they die, and it wouldn't be just for a better immersion it could have impacts on the gameplay, for example a character with a foot/leg injury would make a bit more sound by walking/running because of the pain, when they're exhausted, when they're scared or other situations I didn't think of. Makes me think of a new trait: "heavy snorer" snoring may attract zombies while sleeping
  18. My opinion on the subject is that farming should be nerfed, at lvl 0 in farming you already have all the knowledge you need to take care of crops which obviously IRL is not like that at all, but your ideas are great
  19. strong wind could also slow down your character depending on which side they're going, same thing for zombies and could stumble too
  20. yes, and a light weight character could move and turn around faster and be sneakier than an heavy weight character, for really strong character I would also add the ability to push several zombies at once and have a higher chance to make them fall down. The idea would be to choose between a more agile character or a more strong one, instead of everyone going for a strong one.
  21. it is possible but it depends on what you want to change, for example if you want to make loot rarer it won't change in places you already visited because loot already spawned, but if you want to make zombies stronger for example you can. All you have to do is making a new game with the settings you want, then you go to your Zomboid folder which is usually located there: C:\Users\your name\Zomboid\ then Saves then the name of your new game, you go in there and copy the map_sand.bin then paste it in your main game save folder to replace it. I've done it several times and never had an issue, but to be sure you should make a copy of your save first. Still this is clearly not a viable solution for everyone, I agree with your idea and would like this option too, doesn't seem hard to implement either.
  22. Great idea, I was really disappointed by the sound radius of noise makers when I used one for the first time and never used it again since it's mostly useless
  23. Shit, dude broke his neck while sleeping lol
  24. Hi, sorry to disappoint you but this idea has been already suggested many times and devs don't want this mechanic in the game, a mod for this exists though List of commonly suggested ideas:
