  1. Single player Mod: Necroforge V2.9b Zombies will always choose to get through a window or door which doesn't have a furniture behind, even if it makes them do a "big" detour. I did some tests, with a table behind a window and a door not obstructed by anything, they always choose the door. if there is nothing behind the window but a table behind the door they'll go through the window. If both are "blocked" they will pick which one is closer to them, I guess. here's a video about it: You can even see at 0:36 that a zombie is really close to the window I just jumped through and yet it decided to go all the way back to the window which doesn't have any furniture. Of course zombies can pass through those tables like I did so there is no reason it wouldn't have followed me through that same window. However there are some exceptions, if you wait for zombies to be really close to you and you climb through the window they'll follow you through that same window (most of the times...) It also seems that a new stimulus (shouting for example) reset zombie's pathfinding and they decide to pick the shorter way to get through you. it's mostly happening when players place furniture but I've seen this issue also here: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#13807x2473x15701 I was standing next to that little wooden table, they climbed over the fence then they ran to the closed door even though the window is open and way closer to them than the door, I've seen it happening at least 10 times and there is nothing behind this window, there is just this hedge in front of it, so I guess it must be the thing breaking zombie's pathfidning. There are also other issues but you probably already know them: - zombies walking 50m along a wired fence to get to you. - sitting zombies not moving at all when you're behind a fence, even though they can see you and hear you - zombies not moving at all when they can't reach you but walk towards you when they suddenly can OR when you're too far away from them. - zombies running against a door instead of hitting it when you open/close a door fast enough Edit: Here's the map_sand.bin file, maybe it can be useful. map_sand.bin
  2. You could add letters and notes too, or even journals, for example in survivors houses a daily journal narrating the days of those survivors, how it went, what they did, where they may have hidden stuff or where their last raiders went for the last time and we could find those zombified guys with a car full of stuff... Possibilities are endless, imagine a really long story you could follow through notes left by survivors, kinda like a quest, well you probably already thought about that.
  3. They talked about it in 2018, check this: https://projectzomboid.com/blog/news/2018/09/beeverdoid/ I guess it is still planned but it's not a priority to them (obviously...) maybe they'll surprise us with it in build42 when the new crafting system will be released, who knows?
  4. Your PC has probably a problem, hard drive, graphic card, ram, some program(s) running at the same time? Try to start a new game to see if it's really related to PZ and not your PC.
  5. EDIT: In this whole building all fridges are always empty: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#12629x1998x4922 and I think it's the same for this office too: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#12573x2028x13084
  6. Mod: NecroForge v.2.9 but I didn't use it to spawn items. Single player. If you cook ground beef and then transform it into a meat patty you can cook the meat patty even though it's already cooked: Those apartments do not have light switches: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#13111x1450x15701 Wrong loot distribution in this house's kitchen, it only spawns books, papers, pencils etc : https://map.projectzomboid.com/#10765x9485x10903 This carport is set as indoor, temperature is changing once you get under it, as if it was indoor: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#10971x9445x15701 EDIT: there is also a big map issue here: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#13225x1291x14698 those brown frame windows are sometimes ignored by zombies, they pass through them as if they were broken, here's a video:
  7. Probably because of a performance issue
  8. You're describing the migration mechanic, it's already in the game. Each chunk has a set population and the adjacent chunks "send" zombies to populate the ones which don't have enough zombies.
  9. Yes and melting snow into a container to get water would be great too
  10. 1 Sitting on chairs, lying on beds, opening car doors etc all those animations are planned since the release of build41. 2 Missions are planned too, a story mode should be released after the NPCs update (not just after it of course) and NPCs in standard games will probably give us missions/tasks too. Edit: I didn't think much about animations but you're right to ask for them, especially car animations, it has been years that we're waiting for them and it's a big issue actually to not be able to see if a car door is opened and this video explains it very well:
  11. I'm sorry but I don't really get the point, in all cases you're going to avoid as much as possible to get injured by a zombie, just like in every game before. The only time it could be interesting is when you get bitten and nothing happens, so instead of being bitten and giving up instantly you could have some hope. Or the duration of survival could be random too which means you could survive while being infected for a month, thinking you can't get infected by zombies and be careless, I'm starting to understand how it could be fun
  12. It's not just the lighting, it's the rooms sizes not being updated, like Gavstrav said even if you destroy all the walls of a house the rooms limits will still exist, therefore if you go in an ex-small room your claustrophobic character will panic.
  13. It's already a thing, on your save file click on "More..." then "New player". If you come back to this save file and click on "More..." you can now choose between the 2 characters you have made for this world. I don't know if there is a limit of characters.
  14. So we could get pillows, sheets and mattresses from beds now?
  15. It's a big issue in LV too, because huge buildings hide entire streets and when you're driving it's really awful, you are forced to drive extremely slowly else you're sure to hit zombies or cars hidden by the building, actually the hood of the car is even hidden by the building before it collapses.
  16. you're right, seems like many players don't get what this icon represents, not really a big deal once you know what it means but it could be fixed easily. Another moodle's icon should be changed and it's the broken bone one, at first you think you've got a fracture but it's just lower health, could be replaced by an heart, it would be coherent with the heart icon used to toggle the health panel.
  17. Another flying mailbox: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#13370x1301x10207
  18. it depends on the ceiling, with a wooden ceiling you can easily hear anything happening upstairs. IG I can't hear zombies downstairs or upstairs, even when they're running I don't hear them at all, I don't think I have an hearing problem though, maybe I should check my sound settings then
  19. yes that's ridiculous, last time I got a laceration on the hand from a tree by walking into it, and I was wearing mint condition leather gloves. Trees in Zomboid are worse than barbed wire.
  20. You should read this: "And yes, this is the main thing that’s been holding us back from sitting in chairs, lying in beds etc. Modders have done great things providing this in the capacity that’s feasible in the current engine, but are still limited from sitting properly in chairs that obscure the character or face in different directions. We want a proper solution that’ll work 100% when it comes to the main game. "
  21. Flying mailbox, instead of being on ground level it is on first level: https://map.projectzomboid.com/#13229x1292x7088 Maybe not a bug but it's weird, a coffee machine acting like an oven, yes you can heat stuff with a coffee machine I guess but 50 as capacity is too much and it is labelled as "Oven" https://map.projectzomboid.com/#13143x1445x15839
  22. That's a great idea because of the reason you gave but also to reduce fall damage, and make you able to see what's down there before letting go, because of the isometric view you can't see what's down there on north side before jumping. What I would also suggest to not fall off a roof by mistake is to crouch like in Minecraft, if you crouch you can't fall which would be really useful especially when while building. I'd suggest different controls though, hold E to jump through the window like it is right now so you can keep this classical jump through the window quickly, and if you keep holding E then you hang to the edge, if you release it then you fall, if you keep holding E and press W then you go up. It may be more complex but in my opinion it makes more sense and seems more "natural" because if you want your character to stay hanging then you hold a key like they hold on the edge and release it like they release their grip. I don't know if it's really better, maybe I'm too used to Tomb Raider
  23. Sorry but devs already said no to this suggestion, please read this topic:
  24. I agree and gave my opinion several times on the subject, as you said it's currently useless to lvl up it, a lvl 0 should have a really hard time with applying bandages therefore take way more time and as you said some failed attempts, bandages wouldn't hold as long, they wouldn't know when to change them, they wouldn't know how to properly disinfect an injury therefore more or not enough disinfectant would be used, taking pills could be a risk too, your character may take too much pills, not know how to make a splint, how to stitch, how to remove a bullet... those actions shouldn't even be available to a lvl 0. Basically first aid skill should become a necessity, no need to add new stuff for the moment, it just needs a big nerf.
