  1. On top of inventory weight there should also be a space mechanic implemented somehow. I mean yeah a duffelbag could carry weight equal to 20+ gallons of orange juice, but good luck fitting it all in there. It could prove to be more of an annoying micromanagement than a realistic feature though. It would have to be done correctly, I wouldn't want (just) a bunch of numbers telling me how much space I've got or how much space each item takes up. I would like to see something similar to a visual grid of items with each item taking up a certain amount of "space". My only beef with visual grid inventories is arranging the items. It would have to be a relatively flexible system that wouldn't require too much dragging and dropping to make room (it's a bit more realistic to have to shuffle your bag around to make room, but it can be super annoying in practice.) This would make stacking items more difficult hence why I say it would have to be talked about. This is just a little idea me and my brother had and there are a few flaws I can think of (stacks, arranging stuff, how strength and endurance are affected) but overall we like the idea. What do you guys think of an added space mechanic?
  2. Sinks are stationary objects, rather than things that can be crafted and placed. Maybe if it could be treated as furniture though... Oh I see. Nonetheless the current mechanic is weird. All in all it's a great mod, but every here and there, there's a little something that sounds like a great idea, but is just straight up laughable. Like "Oh let me PICK UP this mining hole. Move some dirt on top of my house, then place the hole on top and go f***in mining on top of house." Don't get me wrong I love the mod and it adds a massive amount of awesome stuff, but some ideas are just executed poorly. Could it be possible to be made into a rain barrel? Or would that negate the option of filling it with fresh water on hand (ie. water bottles)?
  3. Just a quick suggestion. Instead of having the well and ibc's act as giant water bottles, why not giant sinks? It would be more practical in the sense that you don't put it in your pockets to pour it into a bottle, but rather fill your bottles from the container(sink) itself. I have no idea how mods like this work but it seems to me you would just have to make it so the water stays accessible after the piped water runs out which could be weird if you're making it a big sink. Like I said I have no idea how things work
  4. Sure olympic runners can run 25 mph, but that's in a highly controlled environment with little to no actual weight on them. Give them a full set of clothes (shirt, jeans, jacket, boots) a gun, and a half full backpack and see how fast they can run. I like the 3 different paces idea, but level 6 sprinting is like Usain Bolt on crystal meth. You could run that fast IF you had the runner perk and it was only for a short burst. But you can travel the whole map in under an hour with a high sprint level. That just shouldn't be possible. At level 4 sprinting I was wondering just how fast I'd get going. At level 5 I was questioning whether or not bikes or cars are necessary. At level 6 I really don't think vehicles should be added if the sprint speed remains the same. I mean I can run from Bedford to the Mall in West Point in like 20 minutes. If vehicles shortened those trips I would be out on 3 minute runs and that just doesn't sound that fun. I love this game and am very excited about the big things coming, vehicles mainly, I'm just worried they will be a bit useless.
  5. BTW cars and trucks spawn inside of buildings in Bedford. Keep the good stuff comin! Can't wait to see moving animals!
  6. Just what the title says. I don't personally think you should learn new recipes from leveling your skills. I think the efficacy of the things you make should be tied to your skill level. But you should learn new recipes from every few pages in a book, or reading a textbook/magazine. Maybe once NPCs are implemented you could ask them to teach you things or you could teach them things (idk how deep the npc system will be, but if you can make relationships, you could have a mentor/student for certain skills whose options changed depending on your standing with them. this would also add major major incentive to keep those NPCs alive). Maybe you could find or create blueprints to alleviate some of the learning process. What do you guys think of the current "learning" system?
  7. I have never made it to 10 sprinting, but level 6 can be hard to control in tight areas. I know the skill is to increase speed, but it should cap around the speed of 3 or 4 then translate to being able to sprint for longer distances and then maybe unlock other things like the ability to eat/drink or craft while sprinting. Honestly it feels like there is no need for vehicles. I can make a run from Bedford to Muldraugh to West Point and back to my base in Bedford in under a day. I don't know what kind of vehicles they plan on having other than cars but if anything is faster than the current level 10 sprinting, they will be near impossible to control. Except maybe a helicopter or plane. (Which should be in the game...) Idk what you guys think but level 6+ sprinting feels inhuman.
  8. How do you use the wells you create from a mine hole? I know they act as containers for water but how do I fill them?
  9. Oh my god it worked. The only different thing I did was the Hamachi step. I don't know if I forwarded ports wrong or what, but thank you so much!
  10. I've also followed the tutorial but am also having no luck. I just got this gamy for me and my brother and it would really be a shame to have to settle for a public server we can barely connect to. Anyway, here's my issue... I forwarded ports 8766 and 16261 with the TCP/UDP protocols on my router's IP (the same thing I type in to get to the page to forward the ports). I'm confused because I also have a LAN IP (IPv4?) that is just one digit different than my router's IP. Then I have a third, totally different IP, which is my Public IP address. I'm just really confused on what to do and would like to get some assistance to get a server running, and if at all possible if I could change some of the settings. (Like sandbox settings) Any help is appreciated!
