  1. They're developing crystal discs that'll hold around 360 terabytes and last millions of years: http://www.pcworld.com/article/3033071/storage/permanent-superman-crystal-holographic-storage-is-etched-with-the-bible-magna-carta.html Solid media isn't going anywhere, especially with the way people've freaked out about privacy in the last decade. There's also more people waking up to crippling DRM, which could go in a few different ways. Many people like to own their stuff, and streaming isn't a solid solution, yet. Even then, people grown uneasy of others controlling their stuff.
  2. It's not a cheat to have a second floor only accessible by sheet ropes so I don't get why the game should punish us for that and zombies already wait under the sheet rope if they saw you climbing it, so you can be locked in your safehouse if you don't have another escape. In one of my game I had to build a catwalk to get out of my safehouse because it was surrounded by zombies, so even if your safehouse is only accessible with sheet ropes there is still a risk. I don't think it is a cheat, I just think once people realize they can build a base this way it makes wanting to build bases on the first floor basically foolish. By punish I don't mean punish you supernaturally for cheating but rather punish you for not having a proper second exit. Build base on first floor = scary Building base on second floor (with stairs destroyed) = scary only if you have a teammate who forgets to turn the oven off Maybe it isn't true but in my experience zombies can be easily fooled not to go to the second floor and I feel like the zombies never huddle around my ropes especially since I now only pick buildings where I can drop down like 5 different ropes. Hmm maybe... rope durability that needs to be constantly checked and can randomly weaken resulting in your miserable fall? Maybe broken arms and legs having a high chance to fall when climbing ropes requiring handicap accessible entrances to your base for your wounded teammates? That'd be hilarious in MP.
  3. When you shoot a weapon you've no idea if you're hitting the target, so I'm wondering if there's any plan for bullet tracers or at the very least smoke puffs (and/or blood sprays if shooting zed/player) to indicate where your bullets are going? I ask this because yesterday I shot someone point blank with buckshot and had to shoot twice more because I had no idea if I actually shot him or not. With some indication of hitting your target you'll use less ammo and be more effective without having to shoot then pray you hit them.
  4. When I'm out in the forest on a server, especially with the new sounds, I tend to get a little creeped out, and I was thinking it'd be pretty cool and creepy to have a single bigfoot wandering around in the forest. With just one the chances of finding it would be low, but cool nonetheless.
  5. I enjoy the multiplayer not full of people. In most survival games the instant you're starting to progress you get shot in the face and lose everything. In this game, on Reddit server at least, you'll rarely see people but when you do it's creepy. Yesterday my buddy and I were scavenging and I saw someone across the street hop in a window, they didn't see us, so we hid in our house. Hours later we're on our way back to base with newly found machine guns when suddenly my buddy's gunned down in the street. I ran like a bastard and dashed into our house without the assailant seeing me, barricaded the door, and tracked blood all over the floor from three bullet wounds. I pulled them out with tweezers and stitched up like Fifty Cent. Rare player encounters like that make the game a blast, more so than consistently dying and not progressing from many many restarts/deaths.
  6. Personally, I don't care about NPCs. If I want to play with other survivors I hop on server. It seems like a waste of resources best spent somewhere else. Love the game & hard work, but IndieStone seem to have gotten themselves into a bad spot, because if they don't deliver on promises their reputation will be destroyed, and the longer it takes the bigger the hype/risk. NPCs are taking forever, vehicles will take a while, too. People get very angry about long development times lol. At some point you need to constrict your goals, accomplish them, fine tune them...move on. Some of the best games could've been more, but succeeded greatly at what they were.
