  1. Should I come back? I never finished like I wanted to.
  2. Should I update the mod? Is anyone actually using it?
  3. As of right now, there is no way to edit the character 2d sprites as far as I know. They are all contained in the "Characters.pack" and if I understand correctly no one has been able to successfully unpack, modify and repack that particular file.
  4. First Beta release, download is on page 1.
  5. I think you install the extension mod and enable it to get everything working. Coild be an issue with Redboid though? Do I install the Extension Mod in a different directory than the zombie folder?Drop the MLMOD folder into your mod folder. Then at the main menu go to mods and enable it.

  7. One big hurdle to deal with is character creation. The creation menu uses sprites to show hair. This could be done in such a way that the character screen shows bald hair, but rather chooses custom options. Of course with some work, a 3D model can be shown. Another thing to factor in is the potential issue of custom hair and multiplayer. If the data is sent as a String via C2S / S2C, then there is no issue with custom hair as long as the client can handle invalid hair types. The only problem that I'm having right now is getting my model loader integrated into yours. I had given up on trying to make the character creation screen show the 3d model of the character(its out of my skill range), so the character will unfortunately show as a bald character. And I've also done a few multiplayer tests, if the server has the mod and the client doesn't then the character is shown bald(the tests were done on v32.xx). I'm thinking though that I may be able to get them added to the game via your model loader running along side my survivorfactory and lua files. But I'm trying to limit downloads for players. I wouldn't want them to have to download your files, my files and then a mod, just to get hair working. I've been trying to hardcode my models into your loader with no luck. I always get errors. As of now I get 3 errors all on line 55. I literally just need to add my models to your loader to get to a release state, I could release a standalone but, most people use your loader and as of now they are not compatible. I dont want to do that, I feel it would toss a wrench into everything you've accomplished especially with your new release with clothing support.
  8. Either I need someone with more java experience than myself to give me a hand getting it to work with jabs model loader or I'll have to release a standalone version and then create a mod adding my hair styles to jabs model loader as wigs that can be found on the map.
  9. I can release the mod now but, I still haven't gotten it to work with jabs model loader. So it would be the choice of mine or his. This means you would have to choose between having new weapon or having new hair. If anyone knows more about java than me and would like to give me a hand or guide me in the right direction that would be great. I'm just can't seem to get the modelmanager class to recompile. But, I don't think jab has even updated his mod so I don't think I can get it to work anyway. I think i may get in touch with one of the weapon mod makers and see about getting permission to add their mod into mine hardcoded. EDIT: Jab has updated his mod, so i'll try to get everything working
  10. Update: Done, Will be releasing sometime after Christmas!! 2 versions will be released, one that supports Jabs Modelloader and one that is standalone.
  11. I will actuall be replacing the mohawk that has the extra hair for a different hair style. I will also be remaking the afro and liberty spikes. Those two were just thrown together when I first started making the mod.
  12. Instead of replacing the messy hair I'll just add it with the others except with a new name. It may just end up being the spikey hair. Also the only hair left on the list is the ponytail because a few weren't even viable because there isn't textures to distinguish the direction the hair is actually flowing.
  13. Wrong section sorry. I meant to post it in help.
  14. If anyone would like to make some hair models I will include them in my mod. I don't have the time to do much modeling anymore. Link to my mod: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/17088-wipcustom-hair-via-character-creation-screen/ Check it out.
  15. Cornrows just look too distorted to even bother. They looked good in Blender but, once loaded into the game they look horrid. On another note though. Liberty Spikes look good. They could use a little work but, I have a 2 month old son so I don't have time to make all of these models perfectly.
  16. UPDATE: long hair for males added Messy hair actually looks messy. Soon to come: Braids(if I can get them to look right) Ponytail Spikes Cornrows Liberty spikes After all the male hair styles are completed I'll start on the female.
  17. I'm working on it guys. http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/17088-wipcustom-hair-via-character-creation-screen/
  18. One big braid down the back or numerous little braids? Spiky like this?http://hairasidentity.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/purple-and-green-spikey-hair_flickr_1.jpg
  19. UPDATE: Up to this point I have 4 custom hair types added to the game and I'm currently experimenting with shirts and other clothing items.
  20. Updated to 34.28 Sorry for taking so long guys, I switched jobs and I spend most of my free time trying to figure out this being a father thing lol. My son is only 8 months old and I spend all of my free time with him. He and his mother went on "vacation" to visit family out of town so I finally got time to complete the mod. Sorry, and I hope everyone hasn't lost interest. When you choose one of the custom hairstyles at the character creation menu the character preview will show the player bald. Don't freak out, that is completely normal and as of right now there is no way to change it. There are 2 different versions, both included in the download. One is for players that use Jab's ModelLoader and the other is for players that don't. Either way the install instructions are included. Have fun!!! Download Alternate Download If you enjoy this content feel free to Donate. FYI, the mod is still currently beta, though it works perfectly fine. It's only beta because I'm not finished adding hairstyles for men and I haven't even started adding beards or hairstyles for the women. I have actually created my own tools to make it easier, once production is finished I will release the tools also, that way everyone can add their own hairstyles to the game easily. ALSO...Do not add my mod to any modpacks.
  21. What version of Blender is required? 2.75? I'm having wonky things happen with 2.73a though it worked fine before. It could possibly be user error.
