Hey everyone, been a lurker for a long time and i've been playing Zomboid throughout early access. Playing the game on a friend's hosted server and seeing that RP servers existed has been a really awesome thing, and i'd really like it if I could play the game more regularly in my preferred element. To that end, I posted this to see if there are any PVE/RP focused servers out there looking for more people to jump on board. While i'm not vehemently against PVP, it's just something I would prefer not to take part in. It takes me a long time to build up a character (not to mention working twelve hour shifts), and i'd hate the thought of all that time and work being taken away by being killed on sight. I understand some RP servers are out there that offer PVP, but in my experience with other survival type games like Zomboid, PVP is a hard thing to police and make fair on everyone. Random killing, in my experience, is a frequent thing. Even when policed, there's almost always still circumstances of it and even if random pvp is punished and/or discouraged, it still doesn't bring a roleplay character back, what with the inclusion of backstory and build-up. I would really enjoy finding a server where the whole roleplay mentality is based around society and teamwork in order to have a prolonged, enjoyable character. I have a very experienced RP background from forum RP and RP on MMOs that spans about ten years. I'd really like to bring that to the table on an enjoyable, cooperative server that's big on roleplay. I also run several mods in my own games and my friend's private server for us and our friends runs the same ones. While not a requirement, it would definitely add the icing on the cake. We use mods that add content such as Hydrocraft, where the loot variety I feel adds a lot to the experience. Again, not a requirement, but it would be neat to find a server that runs similar mods Thanks for reading, and I hope someone out there can drop me a line.
