  1. to be honest i had the same idea not long ago-walls near borders of map with sentry towers with snipers that will take down anything that approaches wall zombie or not,something inspired by dying light. i've imaginined now that character ends game other way than dying-by escaping,but according to lore virus escaped from quarantine zone and took over entire world a bit later,what disproves your last line about preventing bringing virus to rest of world,besides do you think that radios and TV's would stop working if virus would be effectively contained in knox county?virus just escaped from KC and spread further as the one of last TV broadcast in one of my gameplay said
  2. instead of disappearing they should change status from unread to read after reading that would make the same book,magazine etc. unreadable again by the same character(more useful fol MP playing),but also they would become useful as tinder and/or fuel
  3. glasses with mirrors on sides of lens that will allow to see what's behind us without rotating,at cost of slight narrowing front field of view crafting: -any type of glasses -tin foil -glue its something that i've played long ago when i was a kid
  4. of couse with lathe would be much better,it could be crafted without it and it wouldn't look that great but still
  5. another place that should appear in game and would be definitely worth of visiting for bit obvious reasons that place would contain lots of works of art like paintings,sculptures,relics but also something to deal with zombies: weapons: -halberd -two handed sword or zweihander if you prefer -spears with metal tips -mace -morning star -battle hammer -battle axe maybe medieval weapons wouldn't be bad at all oh and let's not forget about WWII guns additionally medieval armor also must appear-plate armor and chainmail would provide great protection against bites and scratches but will make movement much harder, although it would affect in lesser degree on character with high strenght
  6. to be honest actually axes have bit poor durability,my one handed axe has broken after i,ve chopped down few trees,and that's why i'd rather prefer to craft and use stone axes instead
  7. something that would be really helpful with taking big amount of items or just with heavy things,mobility would depend mainly from ground type-best mobility would be on pavement,concrete,asphalt etc. it would be worse on dirt,sand,grass etc. unfortunately character pushing cart or barrow would be easier to spot for zombies additionaly in multiplayer instead of picking items character can take seat in cart or barrow and can be pushed by another player what would be useful for someone who can't by any reason flee from zombies for example
  8. it's really not hard to make, especially i,ve seen how someone created one IRL long time ago and here's the things that were needed -axe -pretty long wood log -chopping tree stump -leather pieces for handle vision of option to create practically unlimited amounts of baseball bats can be seen as OP,but... well it's just my another idea based on real life
  9. -bayonet both true and makeshift one(knife attached to gun with duct tape) on long firearms it would work like this-character would be able to sprint charge like with spear and lethally stab zombie,and on short firearms character will automatically stab with LMB like with regular knife if zombie is very near -extended tube magazine-JS-2000 shotgun mod that can be attached to tube where shotgun pump slides-increases shotgun ammo capacity by 2 slugs -flashlight-it's pretty obvious
  10. it would be nice to be able to plant anything more than now and here's few ideas: -cucumber seeds (including option of making our own jar of pickles) -onion seeds -lettuce seeds -peas seeds -plantable sunflower seeds -beetroot seeds -corn seeds (can be turned also in corn meal) -wheat seeds (turning it into flour with mortar and pestle included) the last three would also open way do distillate our own alcohol
  11. versatile thing that can be useful both during hot and cold weather, additionally can protect protect against wind would spawn mainly in first aid kits
  12. option to mix colors and receive that ones that we need examples: 1 unit of red+1 unit of blue= 2 units of purple 1 unit of blue +1 unit of yellow= 2 units uf green 1 unit of black+1 unit of white= 2 units of gray 2 unit of black+1 unit of white= 3 units of dark gray 1 unit of black+2 unit of white= 3 units of light gray of course character would need something to mix them in-empty can or bucket and spoon or stick/branch for example if character have red,green,blue,black and white paint then he or she would be able to create any color,if only have proper amounts of paint
  13. character would be able to use welding equipment,skills and materials to install some modifications on cars -iron bars on windows- important thing in case of zombie apocalypse in my opinion,that would protect windows and character(if windows were broken) from zeds attacks until it breaks,it wont protect from bullets of course(i'm not sure that character in car can take damage from guns,so you can check it out if you are mythbusters :)) -reinforced bumper-thing designed for "vechicular manslaughter",protects regular bumper and headlights from damage and can take damage until it breaks,would be very useful if you planning to run over horde (i were forced to do this once when helicopter attracted horde to my safehouse) these modifications will increase car protection but also its weight -painting only visual modifications that character can apply if he have paintbrush and paint
  14. wood shavings-side product of woodcutting(chopping down trees and carpentry),that can be used as good tinder (i tested it many times in real life) hay-character should be able to keep grass in his inventory after pulling it out of ground,after some time it will become dry and turn into hay that will burn perfectly both wood shavings and dry grass would become renewable tinder what would be especially useful if character is far from cities,or just in cases when we dont want to dispose magazines,newspapers etc.
  15. i suggested it long ago,both regular and rope variant,i think its only matter of time before indiestone will implement them
  16. very durable doors that would take more punishment before going down they would appear in three variants -full metal doors that nothing can see through them -metal doors with window secured with iron bars,additionally character would be able to stab and shoot through them -jail cell doors-i think everybody seen them in game all variants would be craftable by character,only if he or she have proper skills,tools and materials
  17. character should be able do use screws and screwdriver for attaching planks to windows and doors that would have course would take more time and effort but would be practically noiseless in return
  18. combat shotgun would be semi-automatic,what would mean higher rate of fire than standard shotgun although that one cannot be turned into sawn-off,and would be pretty hard to find(military bases police stations and their vechicles would sometimes contain them) clip size 7+1 i'm basing that idea on real life SPAS-12 shotgun
  19. if i'm not wrong i already suggested somewhere aluminium bat,it would be nice to see that variant in game
  20. varmint and hunting rifle should be able to penetrate more than one zombie at once (maybe around from 2 to 3)allowing to perform more than one kill at once,they should be enough powerful to pierce them
  21. i totally agree with this,they should be able to break their legs,and eventually die from fall damage caused by smashing head on ground (harder ground like asphalt or concrete would mean higher damage,what would make difference if they would fall from lower floors)

  23. probably sounds like any RPG thing but it's not on my mind. i know that low temperature can already slow down zeds but that should depend from how their state of putrification; old,slower,weaker,dehydrated and more decayed zeds would be less affected by freezing but fire would take them out faster fresh,faster,stronger,and not dehydrated would be more affected by low temperature but in return fire would take them down slower additionaly during below zero temperatures(celcius degrees) zombies(at least some of them)should be able to completely freeze and be unable do do anything(especially i mean here zeds that stays idle for enough long, also ones who are sitting on ground back to wall) ,lower temperature-more severe it would be for them,obviously also for us
  24. spiked barrier-something what was used long ago as anti-calvary measure, would work similary to regular low fences,but... with small difference survivors-if anybody would try to jump over it like regular fence,then he have high chance to get severe injuries like deep wounds,then eventually die from bleeding out zombies-any attempt to jump over have chance to impale them and immobilize them for good,impaled and immobilized zombie would be practically harmless, then only thing to do is to finish them off, but if too many zeds impale on barrier then it would be ineffective and zeds would be able to jump over safely it, unless you remove impaled and finished off ones https://etc.usf.edu/clipart/17900/17904/chevaux_17904.htm images for interested ones
