  1. 1. Collect food 2. Find weapon 3. Find a temporary base to chill for a few days 4. find a sledgehammer 5. once i find a sledgehammer go to buildings with second floors set up a sheet ropes on the windows, destroy the stairs 6. find an axe but I usually find an axe 1st before the sledgehammer 7. build base 8. hoard food, weapons and ammunition 9. survive as long as i can 10. if i can't find a sledgehammer i switch to a nomadic lifestyle.
  2. The only possible materials that you could use to build a metal wall are galvanized roofs, and metal sheets, these are thin enough to be pierce by nails. Maybe you could add them to wall other than plaster making it very very sturdy and tough. an interlocking layers of tires would make great wall, if you fill it with cement, dirt or sand makes it an indestructible wall against zombies if would be a heavy job for one man though since one tire is already quite heavy wooden stakes would work effectively against zombies with inferior navigation skills
  3. wow! nice map, a lot of available home sites that has high walls easy to fortify usually at late game, when i have a sledge hammer, i destroy the stairs and i make wooden floor bridges from house to house. zombies cannot reach me and if one location is swarmed i just transfer to another house via the bridges, though, i have not yet build that in this map but i plan too... if i have the time . i'll only die when zombies learn to climb sheet ropes XD (or die of carelessness)...probably in the future when there is an option in zombies navigation skill "living human like" or we get a "L4D zombie" option (relentless runners, can climb ladders, probably even sheet ropes) hahaha that would be a nightmare for me
  4. This is my 3rd play and my longest surviving character and is still alive. the last two i died because of carelessness. the 1st one i got bitten the second one i went into a room without checking. i when into a bathroom window and then when i open the bathroom door zombies pour in swarming me, i tried to escape to the window i entered but zombies started to pour in it as well. This is my current safe house it was hard to set up i had to make a temporary base for a week at the large warehouse south east of giga mart i wasted nails boarding up windows and wasted time reading carpentry books so i could get my carpentry to max after having my carpentry maxed sledge hammers was the next goal sledge hammers are very hard to find, especially if the setting for weapons are rare or common. it is crucial that you have the trait "lucky" if you want to be finding sledgehammers and axes. i had to walk to the warehouse at north east of the town to find one... zombies do come and swarm the parking lot sometimes but i don't engage they do move into town again some that stays behind i kill. majority of the zombies are in the suburban areas and commercial area of the town so i'm worry free
  5. Deep wounds, and scratches should have a dire penalty to survivors, and if not treated property it will result in a Bacterial infection. Also when you eat rotten food, or drink tainted water you should suffer from gastrointestinal infection, which is mostly caused by bacteria. wounds: Bacterial infection early stage - fever, nauseous, easily fatigue Bacterial infection mid stage - high fever, nauseaus, decrease move speed, easily fatigue, Bacteria infection late stage - very high fever, drastically decrease move speed and attack speed, severely fatigue, decrease perception Bacterial infection terminal stage - death --------------------------------------------------- Food poisoning: Bacterial infection early stage - fever, nauseous, vomiting (increase thirst) Bacterial infection mid stage - high fever, nauseous, vomiting (dehydrated), easily fatigue, decrease move speed Bacteria infection late stage - very high fever, vomiting (severely dehydrated), severely fatigue, decrease move and attack speed, malnourished, decrease perception. Bacterial infection terminal stage - death --------------------------------------------------- revamp "resilient trait" make survivor resilient into catching bacterial infection not just slower zombification new negative trait: "asymptomatic" no symptom of disease show at early and mid stage a person can be a carrier of either bacterial infection or zombification. ( make it harder to detect disease and will only show if the disease is already at critical stage.) (The good thing about this is that you can still move around normally at early and mid stage) --------------------------------------------------- The goal is to increase the challenge, it's not just you against zombies but you against nature too. It will also be my introduction to another idea... More Medicine, because the game lacks on this department. Antibiotics-the only way to get rid of bacterial infection. getting scratch, having deep wounds, eating rotten food, eating uncooked food and drinking tainted water increase the risk of an infection. (This Med Should be Rare) Antifungal- being always sweaty in the summer, getting wet under the rain, (not taking a bath) increase risk of fungal infection. (This Med Should be Rare) Povidone-iodine- give a long lasting disinfection effect than alcohol helps prevent bacterial infection if applied to scratches and deep wounds. (This is Common) Inhaler- for the people that picked Asthmatic as a negative trait also if NPC will have positive and negative traits like survivor you may want to take care of them if they are asthmatic. (This will be rare can probably be looted in zombie's purse or bag) medicine like food expires. This will make late game surviving harder, because once all the meds expires you can no longer treat bacterial infection. Having an incurable bacterial infection is similar to being bitten, it's either kill as much zombie as you can before you die, or die quietly in a lonely dark room. Without Antibiotics, and Antifungals, "herbs" should be an alternative but it needs maybe... level 5 foraging to be able to find one, and level 7 1st aiding, to be able to use the right herb or increase it's healing effects. I think it fits the game's lore or world. After the apocalypse, medicine would not be produce anymore, thus it will reach to a point where it is so scarce that Medicine will be more valuable than gold. People will be killing each other just for an antibiotic just to save a love one, a friend or an ally. Medicine would probably the main reason for Hostile NPC (when it is applied in the future version this game). I mean, NPC should be Hostile for a reason right... I also think it would make the game harder, but not too hard. New threats such as bacterial infection will be as dangerous as getting bitten, but the only difference is that being bitten is not curable but bacterial infection can be cured.
  6. Parkour: pros: have bonus to athletic and sprint also has 75% chance of preventing fracture when falling from a two story building cons: Needs to drink and eat more -good for those people that like to build their base on roof tops -I do think it is realistic coz athletes and parkour has a higher chance of surviving a zombie apocalypse coz they got the condition body to run for long time and parkours can escape to high ground and scale over walls making escapes a breeze and quick -I do think it won't make the game easy -no rewriting needed just an additional trait
