@Hydro. I did some tests on SP. The new changes to potted plants are working, at least for strawberries, cabbages and tomatoes. This is a welcome change now that we don't have to micromanage them all the time. Sleeping bags and Dome Tents are also working indoors and outdoors, though I haven't tested them outdoors while it is raining.

As for Solar Generator. In SP you still need to make sure no other vanilla generators are in the area. If vanilla generators are in the area, the solar generator will stop working (eg no power) if you either leave the area and come back OR if you leave/reload the game.
If no other vanilla generators are in the area they work normally. I don't have another solar generator so I can't test what happens if you have multiple solar generators in the area. Speaking of solar generators, I think you should make electric clamps (that one used to create the HC battery with clamps) craftable. How about have a level 6+ electronics requirement to make the clamps.

I have a bunch of other minor bugs which I'll list later. One thing that's bothering me is the time on some actions. Some minor actions like 'Shuck Corn', 'Soak/Dry Jute Stems',  takes 1000ms (10 min in game). I think it's overkill. When you plant/harvest some of these craps they drop 4-10 of them. It takes me 1 in-game hour to shuck 6 corn? I think the times in some of these actions (especially in Herbalism.txt) should be reduced.

I like that idea, using a blowtorch/welding mask to dismantle cars and get back parts. The sledgehammer could be used to completely destroy cars just like how it works now with furniture. You use a hammer/screwdriver/saw to disassemble furniture but when
you use the sledgehammer on those items they are completely destroyed.

The tow truck idea is a good idea also. You can actually move cars now by pushing them with another car. But with huge traffic jams, moving cars this way is really tedious.

@Hydro, OK, potted plants for SP STILL IS NOT WORKING. I don't get it. We've had 2 or 3 updates since you've incorporated this feature into your mod and every time there is the same issue with it. Let me ask you this - is working for you? If it is then please tell us how you are making it work on your end? Which plants actually make to the (final) ready for harvest stage after watering them several times? I know some recipes require materials only available through potted plants so this issue is preventing players from progressing.

And yes when 10.2 came out, I planted cabbages in my planter and watered them for 4 days straight when they became dry. It never progressed to the next stage after being watered several times.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong? They're on the ground. When a potted plant becomes dry, I right-click it and water it. The potted plant appears in my inventory as a small potted plant. I place it back on the ground for the next watering.

At this point I think you should revert potted plants to way they were if you cannot figure out this issue. Perhaps have a timer like with the animals or increase the water/fertilizer requirements.

Let me ask other users. Did anyone get this to work with the default HC settings? (eg. not changing any code to make it work).

Yep as of this writing HC 10.1 requires level 5 trapping to get donkeys. Check out the website:
    http://undeniable.info/pz/wiki/recipelist.php

and search for 'Track' to find the other animals and their requirements. So far the highest requirement is level 5 trapping.

I only use the donkeys for their ability to carry bags. Add 2 Fine Leather Alice packs to a donkey for 91 storage (if you have the organized trait) and 100% weightreduction . They can be used in primary and/or secondary slots.

    Build 39.58
Fixed Linux and Mac builds missing the updated physics library. Added better zoom in / zoom out radial-menu icons. Fixed vehicles being thrown when surrounded by many zombies.  There might be too much of a slow-down when driving through crowds in multiplayer. Fixed zombie sprite being set to null when creating corpses.  This could cause errors when the same zombie was reused later. Adjusted position of Luxury Car wheels. Fixed server throwing endless exceptions when started without a SandboxVars.lua file and a vehicle was running. Add a vertical scrollbar to the Server Toolbox and debug console windows. Added OnRefreshInventoryWindowContainers event that modders can use to hook into ISInventoryPage.refreshBackpacks(). Added ErosionDays sandbox setting.  -1 means no erosion. 0 means use the existing ErosionSpeed option.  Any other value is the number of days until 100% growth.  The maximum value is 36,500 days (100 years).

I'm not too fond of the erosion feature in the game (because it makes the world look very ugly) so I set it to the longest as possible (500 days). However, I am well over 500 days in my world so I have a few questions/comments:

    1. Grass has grown on roads and it looks very ugly. I can't seem to remove it. How do I do that?
    2. Cracks have appeared on my walls (due to erosion). How I do repair them? We can make walls and plaster them, why not repair?
    3. Can we have more options for erosion? Disable and/or custom number of days.
    4. I've burnt a couple of hundred zombies and my world is filled with patches of black tiles. I hear you can remove them with the shovel only in the IWBUMS branch. Why can't rain also remove those black tiles?
    5. Why can't new grass replace burnt grass?
    6. I'm not sure and perhaps it does do this but why can't rain remove blood on the ground? Reasoning: Bleach is finite whereas zombies can spawn indefinitely (if using default settings).
    7. I think tree/bush regrowth is the same setting as erosion. IMO they should be different settings.
    8. With this latest patch there were some instances where I opened the mechanics screen but then it closes immediately for no apparent reason. Doesn't happen all the time.
    9. I have level 10 metalworking and level 7 mechanics. How I do repair car parts? Limited documentation for this. Also, some have the option to repair and others do not.
    10. Repairing car parts is inconsistent. I see the option for repairing a door for one type of car but not for another type. I think it was different for heavy duty and normal size car. In carpentry you could see all prereqs for a recipe
but they were disabled if you didn't have the requirements eg. carpentry level or components. Why can't you do this for mechanics? BTW, I had all the mechanics tools with me.
    11. When inflating/deflating tires why can't we set the number we want to inflate/deflate it to? I'm inflating my tire and I end up with 32.00001257 or some weird decimal number.
    12. Perhaps I missed this in a previous patch note but why can't we add more seats to a vehicle? I found this van and it only had 2 seats but there was plenty of space for more seats. Could not add more seats.
    13. Is car AC working? I turned AC on and it did nothing for my character's temperature - I was still overheating even though AC/Heater was at 100% health.
    14. Burnt cars are annoying. Why can't we fully destroy them using the sledgehammer? Perhaps get scraps and/or metal sheets?

I must admit, I use the external map (gotta find all those freezers and storage units) all the time but the actual game map is more important. Iron those issues out first then work on the external map accordingly.
As pointed out previously, it takes time to update the external map to match the actual map in the game. Once IWBUMS is moved to stable, only then should you update the external (vanilla) map. By then it is considered 'official'.

I admit I don't play MP at all but even I searched and I found a post on the forums for all the server settings. You can always ask people or search even further for other answers:

    https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20770-help-with-sandboxvarslua-and-servertestini-indie-stone-developer-to-answer/

    1. Respawn. In link.
    2. Lots of options here. I'll list a few. Get a shotgun. Shoot it to lure them away from the area you want to explore. Or lure them into a house and leave the house in the back through a window (close all doors when you go into the house). Or gather them all up together and a throw a molotov on them. You can see how I did it on my youtube channel. I kill 100+ zombies in one go and it took perhaps 10-20 minutes rl time.
    3. Locked homes. In link.
    4. Car options. This is new so you might have to ask around for server settings.
    5. If you want more methods to kill/avoid zombies there's nothing wrong with seeing how other people are doing it to learn new things.
    6. 15 zombies in one kill is the most you can do. I usually kill around 20 before I back off to rest up. After resting I go back again and kill another 20. Rinse and repeat. No one told you to kill all 100+ zombies in one go. If you think number of zombie are
too much, then change the server settings. See link above. PS - if you have a working weapon you should not be killing zombies by stomping them.
    7. The knife is the best for 1 shot kills. If you time it right you can always get that 1 shot kill. Obviously only go for zombies that cannot surround you.
    8. UPS/pickup trucks. I don't know myself. Perhaps in a future release.
    9. Key. Ok.
    10. Sheets are vanilla items. Not sure how easy it is to reduce their weights. Otherwise you're stuck with the current weight. Besides you only need about 2-4 sheets max to cover up windows. You should be sleeping at the highest level or least second floor of house/buildings.
    11. Again I don't know much about MP but I'd expect that in MP servers...that you can be killed/raided by other players and such. Unless the server is co-op only.
    12. Cutting wood. Yes my point was that you cannot just destroy full grown trees by ramming them once. If that were the case why even use axes? Just use a car to deforest an entire area.
    13. Perhaps there are MP sync issues?
    14. Again perhaps MP sync issues and the zombies hitboxes weren't registered to be under your tires? Pure guess here since I don't know it works internally.
    15. Sorry but in PZ food is very easy to get at least in SP. Perhaps in MP kitchens/stores/trailers/etc are have all been raided so you can't find any food. You need a sustainable food supply. For that you can always forage for food, fish or trap. I'd say the best is farming if you have all the materials. If you're really low on food only eat when your character is starving. Worried about losing a character with 10 days in-game time? Hehe... :).
    16. You do know that by  zombies roam right? Since the MP world continues while you were logged off they probably roamed to your cell. They can also respawn as well...
    17. Sounds like a good candidate to add to the suggestions list.
    18. On MP servers assume anything goes unless specified by the server rules. Never trust people unless you know them personally.

I'm also not trying to butt heads with you but I am just informing you.

    Good day!

I agree some of these things are you being picky as Capt. Motty suggested. Others are settings that can be changed in world creation.

    1. Too many zombies can be changed in settings. Can also turn off respawn.
    2. Zombies with intelligence can be changed as well. However there are numerous ways to lose them than using the forest. One new way is using cars as a barrier. Try being more creative.
    3. Locked homes. Another setting.
    4. Too many cars without keys/gas. Another setting (seeing the pattern here?)
    5. They usually destroy player-made crates. Climbing over cars could be a new feature in the future.
    6. Do you want instant-kill with your new axe? Won't that be boring when you can instant-kill everything in 1 shot at the very beginning? That being said you CAN instant kill zombies with an axe with high level blade and attacking at the right angle.
In addition, if you knock them down with 1st shot you can more often that not, kill them with the 2nd shot when they're down. Advance those skills!
    7. I haven't seen 1 shot kills using blunt weapons but again, increase skills to kill them in less shots. I think you can also change the zombies to make them weaker.
    8. I think that's more than enough. I use this van which has I think 5 or 6 seats plus the trunk. 5*24+110 = plenty of storage. Plus I play with HC which has even more storage options.

    12. Picky. Depends on size of tree. If sapling agree that it should be destroyed. However, have you ever chopped down a tree that gives back 4 logs? Those things are massive...
    13. I can kill a zombie when I hit him head-on (and keep driving) at 20-30 mph.
    14. ? When I run over zombies they're usually dead. Were those zombies crawling?
    15. Picky but your hours look off. If you're stuffed/full there is no way you'll be hungry in 2 in-game hours. (hey if you can be picky, why can't I?)
    16. Stealth zombies after logging back on? You mentioned playing online in the next comment. You sure no time has passed? I doubt MP servers would wait for you... However if you saw this in SP, it could be a bug...
    17. I'm not familiar with MP but this sounds like a reasonable request. Being able to sleep in MP whenever you feel like it as long as time isn't fastforwarded for everyone.

For complete let's plays (and quite a few of them) checkout the Nomis Plays channel. He's done a lot of videos with PZ with and without mods. Another good channel is 'johnnyonoes' who went pretty far in his modded gameplay. Though I think he stopped playing PZ for the time being. His last series was on 37.x.  Cromulent archer is not bad as well but he dies a lot lol.

PPanda0421 got a reaction from Pandorea in RELEASED: Build 38.30
Pandorea, just an update. I switched to the IWBUMS branch (to try out the new vehicles) and the issue is no longer there even though I am using all the same mods as before except for one. The mod I excluded this time was the driving cars mod since the IWBUMS branch contains the vehicles update.

However, previously during my testing when I disabled the driving cars mod on the stable 38.30 branch the issue was still there. So I think something was changed in the vehicles branch to fix my generator issue.

Anyways, I must say the new vehicles feature is exciting/impressive! :). *pats the backs of TIS team*

Though it is weird to find car keys on the ground (almost everywhere) and I still haven't found a wrench yet...sigh.
