  1. Actually managing stuff is one of my favourite things that fits in the game, along with managing psychical comfort, health, and inventory Definitely a huge part of survival, which is the objective of the game. If you don't manage, you're not gonna manage!
  2. The beauty of it is, nobody is forcing you to use it. Don't like it? Just disable it in Sandbox. Survival is going to become harder and harder as features are added, it was always intended to be a hardcore experience so a hardcore nutritional system doesn't seem far-fetched. Side note: I also doubt it will end up being as realistic as people expect, it still needs to be manageable/gamey enough for people to enjoy it.
  3. Nice to see people playing in South Korea. Hope it gets added soon for you guys!
  4. What he said. There should be a file called ProjectZomboidServer.bat, open that and it'll start generating the map etc and when it finishes it'll start listening on a port, have to make sure it's forwarded of course. To connect to your own server locally on the computer that's hosting you need to join 127.0.0.1, other computers in your network have to connect to your internal IP, usually 192.168.0.X.
  5. In New Denver there's a pretty nice base, in real life it's a Japanese Internment Center. Has a tall fence all around it along with the indestructable fence that you can attack zombies through. Usually what I do is destroy the two doors at the top and replace them with log walls, then build me a stairs and a platform with a window frame so I can attach a sheet rope to get in and out. Has a nice number of trees on the inside that you can cut down for a good number of planks while at the same time making room for farms. 6. Personally I don't use the cheat menu, I like doing things the regular way and yeah I can imagine that generates noise but I don't think its the noise itself, just the player structures existing seems like it attracts them but I'll take you up on your word, has to be random coincidence then.
  7. What you report there sounds like either a bug, or this barricade brush is generating sound (not audible game sound but game logic sound the zombies hear). This is not behaviour we've added to the zombies in this game. simple as that. Very strange because I've heard similar experiences from other people I know who play the game. A location will be relatively deserted at first, but once the player has built up a few barricades and such, zombies seem to be attracted to it for some reason. Might just be random coincidence though.
  8. Seems like whenever I erect a safehouse, zombies will show up pretty soon to start banging on the windows or door, what's up with that? Seems to me that if a zombie isn't actively following a sound or person, they shouldn't be attacking structures in the first place, why would they when there is no motivation?
